When The Lord Pours Out A Spirit Of Deep Sleep!

‘When The Lord Pours Out A Spirit Of Deep Sleep.’
Isaiah 29:9-10.
a)       We will stop, be astonished and confused.
b)       We will blind ourselves and be blinded. (In every way)
c)        We will act likes drunks and stagger, but not from alcohol.
d)       For the Lord pours out a spirit of deep sleep.
e)        The Lord will shut our eyes and cover our heads.
(This QT teaches me what happens When The Lord Pours Out A Spirit of Deep Sleep)
---------
‘God’s Plan In Christ.’
Ephesians 1:9-10.
a)       God has revealed the mystery of His Goal and Plan to us.
b)       He has decided to do this through Jesus Christ.
c)        God Planned to bring History to its goal in Christ.
d)       Then Christ would be the Head of everything in Heaven and on Earth)
(This Second one shows me God’s Plan In Christ)
---------
Chris.

When the Lord pours out the spirit of deep sleep on His People they will act like drunks and stagger. We really need to discern in some Churches is what is happening an outpouring of the Holy Spirit or a spirit of deep sleep. We should never be encouraged to say that something is ‘from the Holy Spirit’ unless we have discerned that it is so. We discern by Spiritual Gift and by the Word of God.

Who Is The Greatest?

‘Who Is The Greatest?’
Matthew 18:1-4.
a)      Matthew 18:1. The Disciples came to Jesus and asked Him who was the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
b)     Matthew 18:2. Jesus invited a child to Him and placed the child to stand amongst them.
c)     Matthew 18:3. Jesus then assured the Disciples that unless they are converted and changed they will never even enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
d)      Matthew 18:4. Jesus said that the person who humbled themselves like the little child would is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
(This QT answers the question: Who Is The Greatest)
--------
‘They Remained Standing At A Distance.’
Exodus 20:21.
a)      The people remained standing at a distance.
b)     As Moses approached.
c)     The Thick darkness where God was.
d)      Deuteronomy 5:22. God spoke from the thick darkness.
(This Second one shows me the fear of God’s People: They Remained Standing At A Distance)
--------
Chris.

To enter the Kingdom of Heaven Jesus said that we need to be converted and changed. It does not mean more or less than that. We really need to follow the Truths of the Gospel when we present it to the non-Believer. The Way is narrow Jesus said, BUT it is not complicated or legalistic.

Turn Them Back!

‘Turn Them Back.’
James 5:19-20.
a)      This is written to the Church.
b)     If anyone from the Church strays from the Truth.
c)     Then someone turns this person back.
d)      The person who turns the stray one back from the error of their ways.
e)     Will save the stray one’s life from death and cover a multitude of sins.
(This QT encourages me to Turn Them Back)

‘Amazing Encounter With God.’
Exodus 19:16-19.
a)      Exodus 16:16. On the third day in the morning:-
1-     There was thunder and lightning.
2-     There was a thick cloud on the mountain.
3-     There was a loud trumpet sound.
4-     All the people in the camp shuddered.
b)     Exodus 16:17. Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God. They stood at the foot of the mountain.
c)     Exodus 16:18. Mount Sinai was completely enveloped in smoke because the Lord came down on it in fire.
d)      Exodus 16:18. The smoke went up like the smoke of a furnace.
e)     Exodus 16:18. The whole mountain shook violently.
f)      Exodus 16:19. As the sound of a trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke and God answered him in the thunder.
(This Second one reveals an Amazing Encounter With God)
----------------
Chris.
The Lord came down on Mount Sinai in fire. This was an amazing and fearful sight. Moses was going to speak to God and God, in His Loving Mercy, answered Him. When we read through the Old and New Testaments of the Bible we can see how God manifested Himself in various ways. I have read enough testimony books and had some small experiences myself enough to Believe that God still comes down today.

Like A Dream!

‘Like A Dream.’
Isaiah 29:7-8.
a)      All the Nations fighting Jerusalem shall vanish like a dream.
b)     It will be like a hungry man, dreaming of eating but is still hungry.
c)     It will be like a thirsty man dreaming of drinking, but wakes up thirsty, longing for water.
d)      It will be like this for many Nations who go to battle against Mount Zion, they dream of victorious conquest but it is all to no avail.
(This QT teaches me that it was Like A Dream)
---------------
‘You Called I Rescued.’
Psalm 81:7.
a)      You called out in distress.
b)     I rescued you.
c)     I answered you from Mt. Sinai where the thunder hides.
d)      I tested your Faith at Meribah when you complained that there was no water.
(This Second one shows me God’s Mercy: You Called I Rescued)
---------------
Chris.
It is very disappointing for a thirsty man to dream of drinking but when he wakes up there is nothing to drink. This kind of dream is not limited to Bible days it is also manifested sometimes today. I meet people sometimes who are very troubled by their dreams. For some, after Prayer the bad and taunting dreams go away. Other people may need medical help. I am sure that God does not want His People to have bad dreams.

Reject Laziness!

‘Reject Laziness.’
Proverbs 6:6.
a)      Proverbs 13:4. If we tend to be lazy or slackers.
b)     We are to go to and look at the ant.
c)     Proverbs 30:24-25. Observe and consider the ant’s ways.
d)      Then become wise.
(This QT calls me to Reject Laziness)
--------------
‘Our Holy Inheritance.’
1 Peter 1:4.
a)      It is imperishable.
b)     It is uncorrupted.
c)     It is undefiled.
d)      It is unfading.
e)     It is kept and reserved in Heaven for us.
(Through this Second one I thank God for My Holy Inheritance)
--------------
Chris.
We are to go and look at the ant. Here God speaks clearly about the ant and that we are to learn from it. In fact we can look at God’s Wonderful Creation and learn so much. I think God is so good and He cares for us very well. God Created all these things for our benefit and in many different ways they benefit us.

Elijah's Prayer!

‘Elijah’s Prayer.’
James 5:17-18.
a)      Elijah was a man with a nature and passion like ours.
b)     He Prayed earnestly that it would not rain.
c)     For three years and six months it did not rain on the Land.
d)      Then Elijah Prayed again.
e)     The sky gave rain and the land produced its fruit.
(This QT amazes me: Elijah’s Prayer)
-------------
‘Ambassadors For Christ.’
2 Corinthians 5:20.
a)      We are Ambassadors for Christ.
b)     We are certain that God is appealing through us.
c)     We plead on Christ’s behalf.
d)      For people to be reconciled to God.
(This Second one reminds me of the Ministry of Ambassadors For Christ)
-------------
Chris.

Elijah prayed earnestly that it would not rain and the rain withheld for three and a half years. We do not know if it was just one pray about this matter or frequent daily Prayer. I do not think that is so important. The important part that I learn is that Elijah was in such spiritual condition that his Prayer was heard by God.

The Christian Life!

'The Christian Life.' a)  Deuteronomy 7:11. Keep the Word of  God. b)  Deuteronomy  7:12. Listen to the Word of God. c)  Deuteronomy...
