'Not Always Preaching Ministry.'

John 3:22.

b)  Jesus and His Disciples went into the Judaean countryside,

c)  And He remained there with them

d)  And was baptizing 

(This QT reminds me that Jesus' Ministry was Not Always Preaching Ministry)

PRAY: For our Church and Mission ministries to be led by the Holy Spirit.

'Disciples Of Jesus.'

a)  Matthew 5:1: 8:25. Came to Him. 

b)  Matthew 9:10. Welcomed sinners to their feast.

c)  Matthew 12:1. Went through the grain fields with Him on the Sabbath. 

d)  Matthew 13:36; 17:10. Wanted to understand His Teachings.

e)  Matthew 14:19; 15:36. Distributed food to the hungry people. 

f)  Matthew 17:19. Wanted to know why they could not cast out demons.

g)  Matthew 26:18. Kept the Passover together with Him. 

h)  Matthew 26:19. Obeyed Him. 

i)  Matthew 26:26. Partook of the first Holy Communion. 

j)  Matthew 26:40. Fell asleep when they should have remained awake.

k)  Matthew 26:56. Forsook Jesus and fled. 

l)  Mark 6:41. Looked after the feast. 

m)  Mark 6:45. Were sent off in the boat. 

n)  Mark 8:4. Questioned Jesus' Command. 

(This Second one reveals to me a part of the lives of The Disciples Of Jesus)

PRAY: To mke Holy Communion a regular part of our lives.

What a failure!! The Disciples forsook Jesus and fled. This Second one makes me realise that we cannot trust in our own ability or faith to stand firm in the Lord during difficult times. We need the Lord's Power, Wisdom and Grace to be able to stand. The Gospels are really Discipleship training manuals for us as we read Jesus' interactions with His Disciples there.
