We Can Come To God!


'We Can Come To God.'
Hebrews 10:22.
a)  Let us draw near with a sincere heart
b)  In the Assurance that Faith brings,
c)  Because we have had our hearts sprinkled clean
d)  From an evil conscience,
e)  And our bodies washed with pure water. (1 Corinthians 6:11)
(Through this QT I rejoice that I Can Come To God)
PRAY: To come to God.

'Our Mouth.'
a)  Song of Solomon 4:3. Can be lovely. 
b)  Ephesians 4:29. Should be used to build up other people.
c)  Exodus 4:15-16. God can be with our mouth. 
d)  Exodus 13:9. God's Word should be in it. 
e)  Numbers 22:38; 23:12; Deuteronomy 18:18. God's Servants should speak the Word that God puts in their mouth.
f)  Deuteronomy 31:19. God's People can have His Song in their mouth. 
g)  1 Kings 22:23; 2 Chronicles 18:22. The Lord can put a lying spirit in the mouth of a strange 'prophet'.
h)  Job 15:6. Sometimes our own mouth may condemn us.
i)  Job 40:4. There are times that we need to put our hand over our mouth to silence ourself. 
j)  Psalm 62:4. The mouth is too often hypocritical.
k)  Psalm 63:5. Our mouth can joyfully Praise the Lord. 
l)  Psalm 141:3. Ask the Lord to put a guard over our mouth.
m)  Proverbs 31:8. Open your mouth on behalf of those people who are unable to speak. 
n)  Ecclesiastes 5:2; Ephesians 4:29. Do not be rash with your mouth. 
o)  Ecclesiastes 5:6; Colossians 3:8. Do not let your mouth cause you to sin.
p)  Jeremiah 9:8. Some mouths are very hypocritical.
q)  Matthew 15:11. It is what comes out of the mouth that can defile the person.
r)  Luke 6:45. The mouth speaks from what fills the heart. 
s)  Romans 3:14. Some people's mouths are filled with cursing and bitterness. 
t)  Romans 10:9. We need to confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord 
(This Second one makes me seriously consider my mouth)
PRAY: That what we say will always be pleasing to the Lord.

We need to take heed that our own mouth does not condemn us. The self-control of what we say is very important ... it is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes I tremble inside when I hear people saying bitter and vitriolic words. God has given us mouths as a part of His Plan, mouths to Bless Him and Bless and Edify other people. If our mouths - as Believers - are perpetually filled with negatives and gossips we are really missing God and His Will in our lives.
