Chris.
Fear is not something to "own", it is something to Pray to be free from. When we Pray about our fear, or fears, it is a Prayer that we should be specific about. We can, and should, name our fears before the Lord. This Prayer should really be a Prayer of Faith, naming our fears and rejecting them in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. When we begin to stop focusing on our fears, and begin to focus on the One Who can deliver us from them, then we can be free.
We should not look for 'remedies' to free us from fear, we should really look to the Lord and His Word.
The fear mentioned here is the fear of a particular person - Esau. If there are specific people, or a person, that we are afraid of, we need to bring that fear in Prayer to the Lord. We should not let the fear of people govern our lives. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7 that God does not give us fear (here mentioned as a "spirit" of fear), but He gives us: Power, Love and Self Control. These helpful and lovely necessities come to us by the Holy Spirit. They are available for every Believer in the Lord.
