'A Distant Land!'
a) Jeremiah 4:16. Is where the besiegers come from.
b) Jeremiah 6:20. Is where sweet cane come from.
c) Jeremiah 8:19. Is where the Lord's people cry from.
d) Jeremiah 18:14. Is where the cold, rushing water comes from.
e) Jeremiah 30:10. Was a land of exile.
f) Jeremiah 46:27. Was a place of captivity.
g) Isaiah 13:5. The Lord and His Weapons of Indignation come from there.
h) Isaiah 33:17. Our Lord and King dwells there.

'God's Promise Rests On Grace.'
Romans 4:16.
a) It depends on Faith.
b) According to Grace.
c) And guaranteed to all the descendants of Abraham.
d) Not only to the Jewish Believers who keep the Law.
e) But also for the Gentile Believers.
f) Who share the Faith of Abraham.
g) Abraham is the Spiritual Father of us all.
(Through this Second one I firmly Believe that God's Promise Rests On Grace)

For some people a distant land may be a place of captivity. I remember reading the History Books concerning my land, as a child and youth I sometimes felt ashamed of my country because of its history. Especially a distant land suffered many things because of my country. I think especially, in my prayer this morning of Australia, it is a distant land that suffered so much in many ways, even until today, because it was used as a dumping ground for our criminals.
