'We Learn From The Word Of God.'
Isaiah 42:23-25.
a) Isaiah 42:23. We need to listen and pay close attention to this Word.
b) Isaiah 42:24. It was the Lord Who handed Jacob and Israel over to be looted and plundered.
c) Isaiah 42:24. The people of Israel and Jacob:-
1-Sinned against the Lord.
2-Would not follow the Lord's Ways.
3-Did not obey the Law of the Lord.
d) Isaiah 42:25. The Lord poured out on them His Burning Anger:-
1-They experienced the violence of war.
2-They were enveloped in flames but still did not understand.
3-Flames consumed them but they did not take it to heart.
e) Isaiah 42:25. God wanted them to repent.

'A Long Term Choice.'
Ephesians 1:4.
a) Long ago, even before God Created the World.
b) God chose us to be His very Own through what Christ would do for us.
c) God decided to make us Holy in His Eyes, without a single fault.
d) We now stand before God covered with His Love.
(This Second one teaches me A Long Term Choice)

When God's People sin against Him it is a grievous thing and not to be taken lightly. We sometimes sin against God as an individual and we know it is incorrect but we do nothing about it. We sometimes sin against God as a family, 'using' Him in some way. We may also sin against Him as a Church, this needs Church repentance.
