1 John 3:4.
a) Everyone who sins breaks the Law.
b) The fact is that sin is lawlessness.
c) Lawlessness is the breaking and violating of God's Law by transgression or neglect.

a) This is a Prayer to the Sovereign Lord.
b) Made by Simeon as he was about to die after having seen Jesus.
c) He was going to leave this World in Peace.
d) He was trusting the Word of the Lord.

Sin is lawlessness. We seldom think like that, but God states it. Lawlessness is a very critical situation for any Nation or City to be in. The next step on from lawlessness is rioting and that can be dangerous, even to life. We need to understand the serious nature of sin and desire to be free from it through the Blood of Jesus Christ.
