‘What
Does This Ritual Mean?’
Exodus
12:24-27.
a)
Exodus 12:24. The Passover is something that
was, and is still, permanent throughout all generations for the Lord’s Jewish
People.
b)
Exodus 12:25. When the Lord’s
Jewish People arrived in the land of milk and honey that the Lord had Promised
them. They were to follow His Instructions and keep the Passover ritual.
c)
Exodus 12:26. When the Children ask their
parents what the Passover is all about the parents are to answer them.
d)
Exodus 12:27. The parents are to say:-
1-
It is the Celebration of
Jehovah’s passing over us.
2-
He passed over the houses of
the Lord’s Jewish People.
3-
The Lord’s Jewish People were at
that time slaves in Egypt.
4-
The Lord struck all the houses
of the Egyptians.
e)
Exodus 12:27. After Moses finished giving
these instructions the Lord’s Jewish People bowed down and Worshipped the Lord.
(This
QT clearly answers the question: What Does This Ritual Mean?)
‘We
Need To Be Born Of The Holy Spirit.’
John
3:3-6.
a)
John 3:3. Jesus said that unless a person is
Born Again they can never get into the Kingdom of God.
b)
John 3:4. Nicodemus wanted to know what it
meant to be Born Again.
c)
John 3:5. Jesus told Nicodemus that he needed
to be born of water (natural birth) and the Spirit (spiritual birth) in order
to enter the Kingdom of God.
d)
John 3:6. Whatever is born from the flesh is
flesh, whatever is born from the Spirit is spirit.
(This
Second one reminds me of this important Message: I Need To Be Born Of The Holy
Spirit)
Chris.
Nicodemus
wanted to know what it meant to be Born Again. This was a genuine request, he
wanted to know. How many times do we use terms and phraseology in our Churches
that are so difficult for unchurched or new attendees to understand? Jesus
always made His Words clear for the people to understand in the environment
where they lived and worked. The Local Church should surely do the same.
