They Cannot Sail!


‘They Cannot Sail.’
Isaiah 33:23.
a)    Those who try to sail will be unable.
b)    Their lines are limp.
c)     Their mast is wobbly.
d)    Their sails are furled.
e)     The spoils in the hold will be shared amongst others.
f)     The lame people will come and take the plunder.
(This QT tells me of a crisis: They Cannot Sail)

‘A Reasonable Plea Rejected.’
Numbers 20:17.
a)    Moses and the people needed to pass through Edom.
b)    The Promises of Moses:-
1-    Let us cross through your land.
2-    We will not go through a field.
3-    We will not go through a vineyard.
4-    We will not drink water from a well.
5-    We will stick to the main road – the King’s Highway.
6-    We will not turn to the left or the right until we have left your territory.
c)     The people of Edom rejected this request.

A reasonable plea rejected. Most of us have had such an experience or experiences at various times in our life. We can feel that life is unfair if we face such issues. One thing is for sure – God knows about all these matters and surely in His Way and time He will act upon our behalf. Let us not be disheartened or bitter if our reasonable plea is rejected.
