‘There Are Things We Need To Remember.’
Joshua 4:4-7.
a)
Joshua 4:4. Joshua called
for the twelve men that he had selected, one from each tribe of Israel.
b)
Joshua 4:5. Joshua told
them to cross over to the middle of the Jordan River, through which God had
made a dry path for His People. They were to come to the where the Ark of God
was and put a large stone there, placed upwards. This would represent every
tribe of Israel.
c)
Joshua 4:6. These stones
will be a lasting symbol from generation to generation and whenever the
children would ask their fathers what they meant the fathers could tell them
their history.
d)
Joshua 4:7. These stones
were to a permanent memorial for the Children of Israel.
(This QT shows me that There Are Things I Need To Remember)
‘Jesus Christ Is The I Am.’
John 8:24.
a) Jesus said that we would
die in our sins.
b) If we do not Believe that He is the I Am.’
c) We will die in our sins.
(This Second one makes me realise and appreciate that Jesus
Christ Is The I Am)
Chris.
The stones were to be a lasting symbol from generation to
generation about the Miraculous Deliverance that the Lord granted to His
People, enabling them to escape from the Egyptians by drying up the Jordan
passage. This makes me think about the families of True Believers today. Where
are our Testimonies that will prove to our children the Greatness and Love of
God for His People? We should all have something to share with them – many different
true stories for the Glory of God.
