‘A Threatening Situation To Face.’
Isaiah 36:2.
a) The King of
Assyria sent his senior Field Marshal – called the Rabshakeh – to face King
Hezekiah.
b) He came with a
great army.
c) He camped by
the conduit of the upper pool in the Highway of the Washer’s Field. This means
that the water supply for Jerusalem and the facility for washing clothes was
cut off.
(This QT reveals to me A Threatening Situation To Face)
‘Have Peace And Cheer Up.’
John 16:33.
a) Jesus clearly spoke
these Words to His Disciples for a reason.
b) He wanted them
to have Peace.
c) Yes, they
would have tribulation in the World system.
d) But they were
to be of good cheer because Jesus had (and still has) overcome the World
system.
(This Second one encourages me to Have Peace And
Cheer Up)
Chris.
There are times when we feel trapped by threatening
situations. They can cause a lot of frustration and even fear. Jesus says that
we are not to fear but to keep Trusting Him. Maybe we do not yet know the way
out of our threatening situation but surely God will give it to us in His Way.
