Parents And Children In A True Believer Family!

‘Parents And Children In A True Believer Family.’
Ephesians 6:1-4.
a) Ephesians 6:1. It is always right for children to obey their parents because they belong to the Lord.
b) Ephesians 6:2. The First Commandment with a Promise is that children should honour their father and mother.
c) Ephesians 6:3. If children honour their parents things will go well with them and they will have a long life on the Earth.
d) Ephesians 6:4. Fathers should not provoke their children to anger by the way that they treat them. Rather fathers should bring their children up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.
(This QT shows me how it should be for Parents And Children In A True Believer Family)

‘We Should Not Be Persuaded To Turn Away From God.’
Galatians 1:6-12.
a) Galatians 1:6. Apostle Paul was shocked that the Galatia Believers were turning away so quickly from the One Who called them by the Grace of Christ to a different Gospel.
b) Galatians 1:6-7. The way that the Galatians were following was pretending to be the “Good News” but was not the Good News at all.
c) Galatians 1:7. The Galatians were being deliberately fooled by by people who were twisting the Truth concerning Christ.
d) Galatians 1:8. Apostle Paul invoked God’s curse upon anyone (including himself) or upon any Angel from Heaven who preaches a different kind of “Good News” to the one that was preached.
e) Galatians 1:9. Apostle Paul repeated that if anyone was preaching a different “Gospel” to that which was originally preached they would be accursed.
f) Galatians 1:10. Apostle Paul was not trying to win the approval of people but he was endeavouring to please God.
g) Galatians 1:10. If pleasing people was his goal Apostle Paul would not be a Servant of God.
h) Galatians 1:11. The Gospel Message that Apostle Paul preached was not based on human reasoning.
i) Galatians 1:12. Apostle Paul’s Gospel Message was:-
1- Received from no human source.
2- Was not taught him by anyone.
3- Received by direct Revelation from Jesus Christ.
(Through this Second one I know that I Should Not Be Persuaded To Turn Away From God)

Chris.
Apostle Paul never tried to win the approval of people. He did attempt to win people for Christ and he did attempt to please God at all times during his ministry. We can learn a lot from this. Many Pastors and Preachers are caught in the trap of trying to please the people with their pulpit messages. This kind of action is never pleasing to the Lord.
