No Fights Please!


'No Fights Please.'
Matthew 5:38-39.
a)  Jesus taught that the Old Testament taught about revenge - an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.
b)  Jesus' New Testament concept brings in an entirely different view.
c)  This supersedes the Old Testament way.
d)  We should not fight with anyone who does wrong to us.
e)  If someone hits us on one side of our face.
f)  We should turn the other side to them also.
g)  It really means no fights please!

'The Things That Defile Us.'
Matthew 15:18-19.
a)  Jesus was speaking to Peter and the Disciples.
b)  Jesus was speaking about the things which defile us.
c)  These things come from our heart.
d)  They then proceed out of our mouth.
e)  These things are:-
1-Evil thoughts.
2-Murders.
3-Adulteries.
4-Fornications.
5-Thefts.
6-False witness.
7-Blasphemies.
8-Saying wrong things about other people.

We should not fight with anyone who does wrong to us. Today, I often hear about people who are fighting other people who have done them no wrong, all they have is a different opinion. This kind of fighting is really grieving to God. Even if someone has done something wrong to us, fighting with them is a poor thing to do. We should seek to resolve and restore - not fight.
