'The Watchmen.'
a) Song of Solomon 3:3. Look after the city at night.
b) Genesis 2:15. Is a work and ministry ordained by God.
c) 1 Samuel 7:1. Eleazar was appointed to be a watchmen for the Ark of God.
d) Song of Solomon 5:7. Should not be abusive.
e) 2 Kings 18:8. Had towers built for them.
f) Isaiah 52:8. Shall be people who Praise the Lord.
g) Isaiah 56:10; 62:6. Should not be ignorant or lazy.
h) Jeremiah 6:17. May work hard but have no authority.
i) Jeremiah 31:6. Should be worshipful people.
(Through this QT I recognise the importance of those who work and serve as The Watchmen in the Churches)
PRAY: For the bigger Churches to employ and look after The Watchmen well.

'Submission To Our Perfect Heavenly Father.'
Hebrews 12:9.
a) Furthermore, we have all had earthly fathers who disciplined us,
b) And we respected them.
c) Should we not much more
d) Submit to the Father of our spirits and live.
(This Second one reminds me of the necessity of Submission To My Perfect Heavenly Father)
PRAY: To live in Submission To Our Perfect Heavenly Father.

First impressions of the Church do not begin in the Sanctuary, they begin at the door of the Church. Those folk with a Ministry of Greeting should do it well and warmly. There are also, however, in many larger Churches, a staff of watchmen for 24 hours a day. These watchmen are often 'first impression' people for visitors to the Church. This is why every aspect of the watchman's character needs to be considered before employing him.
A grumpy watchman creates a wrong concept of the Church to the stranger or newcomer.
