Especially For Shepherds!


'Especially For Shepherds.'
1 Peter 5:2-4.
a)  1 Peter 5:2. Be Shepherds of God's Flock that is under your care.
b)  1 Peter 5:2. Watch over the flock that is under your care.
c)  1 Peter 5:2. Not because you must.
d)  1 Peter 5:2. But because you are willing as God wants you to be.
e)  1 Peter 5:2. Not pursuing dishonest gain.
f)  1 Peter 5:2. Be Eager to serve.
g)  1 Peter 5:3. Not "lording" over those people entrusted to you.
h)  1 Peter 5:3. Be an example to the flock.
i)  1 Peter 5:4. When the Chief Shepherd appears.
j)  1 Peter 5:4. You will receive the Crown of Glory that will never pass away.

Shepherds should keep free from the temptation to pursue dishonest gain. The Shepherd needs to have an accountability team to which he is responsible and the team should also be accountable to one another. There are many special needs that a Shepherd has and often the congregation fails to understand them.
