1 John 3:17.
a) This is written by Father John.
b) If anyone. (In the Church)
c) Has material possessions.
d) They see a Brother or Sister in need.
e) They have no pity on them.
f) They shut their heart against them.
g) How can the Love of God be in that person who has material possessions?

a) Ephesians 3:12; Matthew 7:7. This is the confidence we have in approaching God.
b) If we ask anything according to His Will.
c) He hears us.

Having no pity is one of the 'works of the flesh' that we read about in the Bible. Having pity was clearly taught by Jesus Christ in His Ministry upon this Earth. The Disciples were taught to have pity. We need to have discernment so that we and our Church are not deceived but can really have pity when we should.
