Come Near And Listen!


'Come Near And Listen.'
Isaiah 48:16.
a)  We are to come near to the Lord.
b)  We are to listen to the Lord.
c)  Right from His First Announcement.
d)  The Lord has never spoken in secret.
e)  The Lord has been, and is, there when anything happens.
f)  The Sovereign Lord God.
g)  Has sent the Lord Jesus Christ.
h)  Endowed with His Holy Spirit.
(This QT calls me to come near and listen to the Lord)

Hebrews 4:15.
a)  Jesus Christ, Our High Priest is fully able.
b)  Hebrews 2:17-18. To empathise and sympathise with our weaknesses.
c)  He has been tempted in every way that we are tempted.
d)  Yet He did not sin.
(Through this Second one I thank God for Jesus Christ - My High Priest)

The Lord has been, and is, there when anything happens. This statement is controversial and is one of several times that the Scripture declares clearly this statement. The question so often arises "why?" The big "if"! If God is there why did He allow this to happen? I cannot answer this question and I do not believe that any True Believer can. Sin and pain in this World system has not yet been defeated in reality. For every True Believer there will come a time when we will understand. The Bible tells us that God wipes away all tears in Heaven. It does not say that there will not be tears in Heaven, there will be, but God will Heal and Restore His People and wipe away their tears. God never despises or silences tears angrily.
