Wise Speaking!


‘Wise Speaking.’
a) Proverbs 15:20. Lips of Knowledge are a rare jewel.
b) Psalm 141:3. Ask the Lord to take control of what we say.
c) Proverbs 10:21 & 31. Godly people give good advice.
d) Proverbs 10:32. Godly people speak words that are helpful.
e) Proverbs 15:4. Gentle words bring life and health.
f) Proverbs 15:23. Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time.
g) Proverbs 16:23. From a wise mind comes wise speech; the words of the wise are persuasive.
h) Ecclesiastes 9:17. The quiet words of a wise person are better than the shouts of a foolish king.
(This QT reminds me of the virtues of Wise Speaking)

‘Great Unity Of The Early Church.’
Acts 2:44-47.
a) Acts 2:44. All the Believers were together and had all things in common.
b) Acts 2:45. They willingly and practically met each other’s needs.
c) Acts 2:46. They shared together in:-
1- Worship.
2- Hospitality.
3- Joy.
4- Sincerity.
d) Acts 2:47. They were Praising God together.
e) Acts 2:47. They found favour with the people around them.
f) Acts 2:47. The Lord added to them daily people who were being saved.
(This Second one greatly encourages me the Great Unity Of The Early Church)

The early Church were a Church that genuinely shared together. Their level of honesty was motivated by the Fear of the Lord. That is why God punished deceivers with death. Today’s Church is far away from that standard. Rather than criticise the Local Church we should be praying for the Fear of the Lord to be restored to the Church.
