Ready To Run The Race!

‘Ready To Run The Race.’
Hebrews 12:1.
a) We are inspired by the heroes of Faith of Hebrews chapter eleven.
b) We need to lay aside every weight and heavy burden.
c) We are to get rid of the sin that so easily besets us.
d) Then we can run with Patience.
e) The race that is set before us.
(This QT persuades me to be Ready To Run The Race)

‘The Church Should Not Boast In Its Wealth.’
Revelation 3:17-20.
a) Revelation 3:17. There are some Churches that boast in and trust in their wealth.
b) Revelation 3:17. These Churches, according to the Lord, are:-
1- Miserable.
2- Pitiful.
3- Poor.
4- Naked.
5- Blind.
c) Revelation 3:18. Jesus wants His Church to be pure.
d) Revelation 3:18. Jesus wants His Church to have opened spiritual eyes.
e) Revelation 3:19. Jesus rebukes and punishes all whom He loves.
f) Revelation 3:19. The Church that boasts of its wealth needs to repent and turn from its sins.
g) Revelation 3:20. The Lord stands at the door of the Church and knocks. Will we let Him in? If we let Him in then we can enjoy Fellowship with Him.
(Through this Second one I question how to welcome Jesus into the Church. I believe that it is by inviting the poor and needy the sick and mentally sick, the orphans and rejected people because Jesus said in the Gospels that by inviting these people into the Church we will be inviting Him into the Church)

Chris.
Jesus wants His Church to be pure and not perfect. It is a time for the Church to search itself as to its condition. Some of the affluent Churches horde much money and do nothing with it. The first place for Mission is home (Jerusalem). If it is practically possible, and this should be very possible in the affluent Church, the Church should be welcoming those whom the Lord would welcome first, that is the poor people and the sick people.
