Escape!

‘Escape.’
2 Corinthians 11:32-33.
a) The Governor of the City of Damascus had the entire city watched so that Apostle Paul might not escape from there.
b) Someone helped Paul escape by letting him down through a window in a basket.
c) So Paul was able to be free from the Governor’s hands.
(In this QT we see that even Apostle Paul needed the help of other people so that he could Escape)

‘An Effect Of Grace.’
2 Corinthians 8:1-9.
a) 2 Corinthians 8:1. Grace was given by God to the Churches of Macedonia.
b) 2 Corinthians 8:2. Even though they themselves were in much trouble and need they were still willing to give to the needs of other people.
c) 2 Corinthians 8:3. These Macedonian Brothers and Sisters gave far more than they were able to give.
d) 2 Corinthians 8:4. They made strong requests to Apostle Paul and his team that this team could be good stewards of their gift.
e) 2 Corinthians 8:5. They not only gave the financial gift but they also wholeheartedly gave themselves to the Will of God.
f) 2 Corinthians 8:6. Titus was to share about this Grace also to the Corinthian Church.
g) 2 Corinthians 8:7. Apostle Paul wanted the Corinthians to abound in this Grace also. The Corinthian Church already abounded in:-
1- Faith.
2- Utterance of God’s Word.
3- Knowledge.
4- Earnestness.
5- Love.
h) 2 Corinthians 8:8. This was not an order to the Corinthian Church but it was an opportunity to show genuine Love.
i) 2 Corinthians 8:9. We can see the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ:-
1- He was rich.
2- For our sakes He became poor.
3- That through His poverty we might be rich. (In Grace)
(This Second one teaches me An Effect Of Grace)

Chris.
Knowledge was one of the Gifts bestowed on the Corinthian people by the Lord. God gives different people groups and Nations different Gifts at different times. Right now I am in Scotland. This Nation has been given an evident Gift of Teaching and Mission from God but because of negligence and lack of zeal the Gift became mostly unused. Let us not neglect the Gifts that God has given to us.
