Think About Other People!

‘Think About Other People.’
1 Corinthians 10:23-24.
a) It is true that we are allowed to do anything. (As long as we do not break National laws or local regulations)
b) But not everything is good for us.
c) Not everything is beneficial for us or for other people.
d) We should not be just concerned for our own good.
e) We should be concerned for the good of other people.
(This QT encourages me to Think About Other People)

‘To Be More Like Christ.’
a) Romans 8:29. God knew His People in advance and He chose them to become like His Son.
b) Romans 8:28. We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those people who love Him and who are called according to His Purpose for them.
c) Romans 8:30. God has:-
1-Chosen us.
2-Called us to come to Him.
3-Given us right standing with Himself.
4-Promised us His Glory.
d) 1 Thessalonians 5:24. The One Who calls us is Faithful, He will do it.
e) Philippians 3:12. We have not yet reached perfection but we keep working towards that day when we will finally be all that Christ Jesus saved us for and wants us to be.
f) Philippians 3:13. We are still not all that we should be, but we focus all of our energies on this: Forget the past and look forward to what lies ahead.
g) Romans 12:2. We need to be transformed by the renewing of our mind.
h) 2 Corinthians 3:17-18. We are changed from Glory to Glory by the Holy Spirit.
i) Galatians 4:19. Apostle Paul was going through labour pains for the Galatian Church until Christ was fully developed in their lives.
j) Ephesians 4:15. As we hold to the Truth in Love we will become more and more in every way like Christ.
k) Ephesians 4:13. When we come, as a Church, to Unity in our Faith and Knowledge of God’s Son then we will be mature and fully grown in the Lord, measuring up to the full stature of Christ.
(Through this Second one I find how To Be More Like Christ, both individually and as a Church)

Chris.
The modern way in many evangelical Churches of presenting the Gospel to their hearers often misrepresents the True heart and meaning of the Scriptures. In the Book of Acts in the New Testament there were a few instances where individuals were ministered to but generally it was to whole cities and communities of Believers. In the Ministry of Jesus in the Gospels, there were only a few cases of individual ministry mostly He ministered to crowds or to His Disciples. The Gospel correctly presented is not an emphasis on “me and God” but rather “God and us”. Modern style individualistic Gospel preaching only produces selfish Christians who have a “what about me” attitude.
