Support The Christian Worker!

‘Support The Christian Worker.’
1 Corinthians 9:7-14.
a) 1 Corinthians 9:7. Consider the:-
1-Farmer.
2-Soldier.
3-Shepherd.
None of these people work for nothing.
b) 1 Corinthians 9:8-9. This is human common sense and God’s law too.
c) 1 Corinthians 9:10. God is speaking to us. Just as workers receive their salaries so Christian workers should be paid by those people whom they serve.
d) 1 Corinthians 9:11. In the days of Apostle Paul his Apostolic team needed food and clothing. The Church should take responsibility for this need.
e) 1 Corinthians 9:12. Paul had a right to be paid by the Church – every Christian worker has the same right. Paul, however never used this right so that God’s work would not be hindered through shortage of money.
f) 1 Corinthians 9:13. The Temple workers were always given their share as they served.
g) 1 Corinthians 9:14. In the same way, the Lord gave orders that those people who preach the Good News should be supported by those people who benefit from it.
(Through this QT I know that the Church should Support The Christian Worker. Faith Mission that is often practiced by the para church movement is not Biblical and often makes huge burdens on people who are involved in it and those people who are supporting them)

‘We Need To Live In The Light.’
a) 1 John 1:7. Then we can be cleansed by Jesus’ Blood and have fellowship with God and each other.
b) 1 John 2:9. Then it is impossible for us to hate our Believing brother or sister.
c) 1 John 2:10. Then we can love other True Believers and not cause anyone to stumble.
d) Psalm 56:13. So that we can walk in God’s Presence.
e) Psalm 89:15. Then we can happily respond to the joyful call to Worship.
f) Isaiah 2:5. Then we can invite other people to join us.
g) John 12:35. Then we will not stumble. (In our Faith or Temptation)
h) Romans 13:12; Ephesians 5:8. It means that we will be right living.
(Through this Second one I know that I Need To Live In The Light)

Chris.
I have met many people who have been embittered and become jealous within the Faith Mission movements. This is very understandable because it is not a Biblical concept. Apostle Paul actually took a job in order to support himself on certain occasions. Let us learn from God’s Words rather than from the traditions of affluent Western Christianity.
