'Giving To The Needy.'
Matthew 6:1-4.
a) Matthew 6:1. Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in Heaven.
b) Matthew 6:2. So, when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets to be honoured by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
c) Matthew 6:3. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
d) Matthew 6:4. So that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
(This QT reminds me of some principles about Giving To The Needy)
PRAY: For our Gracious, not legalistic, Giving To The Needy.

'Rejoicing, Praying And Thanksgiving.'
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
a) 1 Thessalonians 5:16. Rejoice always,
b) 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Pray without ceasing,
c) 1 Thessalonians 5:18. Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the Will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
(This Second one calls me to be Rejoicing, Praying and Thanksgiving)
PRAY: That True Believers (including ourselves) can be a people who are: Rejoicing, Praying and Thanksgiving.

Heaven is a wonderful subject to ponder upon and to preach about! It is the Eternal Hope of every True Believer. Of course we have a Calling to fulfil on this Earth, but it is Heaven that should truly motivate and inspire our ministries here. Especially for those of us who are a little more aged, we are positively comforted by thoughts of Heaven.
