'The Habit Of Census.'
Luke 2:2.
a) Was abhorrent to the People of God because He had told them not to do it.
b) Probably this was actually a registration that took place before the actual census.
c) There would be other census to follow because of the Roman Government system.

PRAYER: For the functions of the Government where we live.

'The Exalted Christ.'
Philippians 2:9-10.
a) God exalted Christ to the Highest Place.
b) God gave Christ the Name that is above every name.
c) At the Name of Jesus every knee should bow:-
1-In Heaven.
2-On Earth.
3-Under the Earth.
(Through this Second one I desire to honour The Exalted Christ)
PRAYER: That we will honour The Exalted Christ with our lives all day long.

Praying for the functions of the Government where we live is one of the most important Prayers that we can Pray. Just simply expressing opinions about the Government and its successes, faults and failures is not a very wise thing to do. We should not simply criticise, we should Pray for the Government in all its forms, and encourage other True Believers to pray also. It is surely true that Prayer changes things, and in Prayer we are not commanding God, we are seeking Him for His Answers.
