Abram To The Rescue!


'Abram To The Rescue.'
Genesis 14:13-16. 
a)  Genesis 14:13. Abram was living with his friends in a very nice place. 
b)  Genesis 14:14. When Abram heard that some of his family members were captured, he took action.
c)  Genesis 14:14. Abram led forth his trained men and went in pursuit. 
d)  Genesis 14:15-16. Abram's successful strategy:
1-He divided his forces at night. 
2-His servants were with him.
3-He routed the enemy. 
4-He pursued the enemy to Hobah, North of Damascus. 
5-He brought back:
A-All the goods.
B-Lot and his goods.
C-The women.
D-Some other people. 
(This QT reveals to me Abram To The Rescue)
PRAY: For our churches to be places of Victory and Rescue for the lost and wandering people - especially those people who have left the church for some reason.

'Christ Is Head Of The Church.'
Ephesians 1:20-23. 
a)  Ephesians 1:20. God raised Christ from the dead.
b)  Ephesians 1:20. God made Christ sit at His Hand in the Heavenly Places. 
c)  Ephesians 1:21. God placed Christ:
Far above all - 
A-Rule.
B-Authority.
C-Power.
D-Every name that is named in this age.
E-Every name that is named in the ages to come. 
d)  Ephesians 1:22. With all things under His Feet. 
e)  Ephesians 1:22. Made Him as Head over all things to the Church.
f)  Ephesians 1:23. The Church is the Body of Christ, which is the Fulness of Him Who fills all in all. 
(This Second one assures me that Christ Is The Head Of The Church)
PRAY: That the Church will truly confess and own Christ as its Head.

People give many reasons or excuses for leaving the Church, many of those reasons and excuses are truly understandable. I am not going to make a list of those things here. Rather than just criticising those people who leave, we should be considering the functions of the Church towards: its Lord, its members, those people who have left for negative reasons and the multi-ethnic unevangelised.
