Tragic Lives!

‘Tragic Lives.’
Ecclesiastes 6:1-4.
a) Ecclesiastes 6:1. These tragedies really happen to people.
b) Ecclesiastes 6:2. God gives a person:-
1- Riches.
2- Wealth.
3- Honour.
c) Ecclesiastes 6:2. Yet the person has no power to enjoy any of them, a stranger enjoys them.
d) Ecclesiastes 6:2. A stranger enjoys them.
e) Ecclesiastes 6:2. This is a pointless and painful tragedy.
f) Ecclesiastes 6:3-4. Suppose a rich person wasn't satisfied with good things while he was alive and didn't even get an honourable burial. Suppose he had a hundred children and lived for many years. No matter how long he would have lived, it would have been better for him to have been born dead. A stillborn baby arrives in a pointless birth and goes out into the darkness. The darkness then hides its name.
(This QT gives me a heart to pray for people with Tragic Lives)

‘Put God First.’
Matthew 6:25-33.
a) Matthew 6:25. We should, as Christ’s Disciples, not be anxious about what we are going to:-
1- Eat.
2- Drink.
3- Wear.
b) Matthew 6:25. Life is more than our clothes and food.
c) Matthew 6:26. Consider how God looks after the birds, we are worth much more than they are.
d) Matthew 6:27. Worry cannot add a single hour to our lives.
e) Matthew 6:28-30. We need Faith to Believe God for everyday things.
f) Matthew 6:31-32. We need not worry (Jesus is emphasising here) about the everyday things, God knows our needs.
g) Matthew 6:33. We are to seek first God’s Kingdom and Righteousness and all our needs will be added to us.
(Through this Second one I know that it is correct to Put God First)

Chris
Sometimes we do not consider God’s Ways when we should be considering them. God’s Ways are revealed in His Word. We are told that Faith comes from our reception of God’s Word. As God’s People, if we are going to Glorify Him, we need to consider God’s Ways in God’s Word!

The Christian Life!
