Let The Lord Do What He Wants To Do!
‘Let The Lord Do What He Wants To Do.’
John 13:8.
a) Jesus wanted to wash Peter’s feet.
b) Peter replied in the negative, Jesus was not to wash his feet.
c) Jesus told Peter that if He did not wash his feet Peter would have no part with Him.
(Through this QT I know that I should Let The Lord Do What He Wants To Do in my life and circumstances)
-----------------------------
‘Washed, Sanctified And Justified.’
1 Corinthians 6:9-11.
a) 1 Corinthians 6:9. Unrighteous people will have no share in the Kingdom of God.
b) 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. We should not be deceived, these people have no part in the Kingdom of God according to the teaching of Apostle Paul in the Scriptures:-
1- Sexually immoral people in every form of immorality.
2- Thieves.
3- Greedy people.
4- Drunkards.
5- Slanderers.
6- Swindlers.
c) 1 Corinthians 6:11. Some of the Corinthian people were like that.
d) 1 Corinthians 6:11. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of God they became different, they were:-
1- Washed.
2- Sanctified.
3- Justified.
(Through this Second one I can see the reality of God working in someone’s life, what a Blessing and privilege from God, being Washed, Sanctified and Justified! God works in reality and not in religiosity)
-----------------------------
Chris.
Washed! Thank God that the True Believer’s life is Washed. Firstly, we are Washed by the Blood of Jesus’ Blood, it is the power and efficacy of the Blood that deals with our sins. Secondly, our lives are Washed by the Word of God, we are foolish if we neglect our private Bible Reading and listening to God’s Message because it washes us. Thirdly as we are Biblically filled with the Holy Spirit there are rivers of living water flowing from within us, there is a Washing.
Lovingly Confident Spiritual Leaders!
‘Lovingly Confident Spiritual Leaders.’
2 Corinthians 3:1-6.
a) 2 Corinthians 3:1. Have no need to commend themselves of get letters of approval and recommendation from anyone.
b) 2 Corinthians 3:2-3. The Church itself becomes their living letter.
c) 2 Corinthians 3:4. Have confidence in God through Christ.
d) 2 Corinthians 3:5. Give all the Glory to God Who has given them their Confidence and Power.
e) 2 Corinthians 3:6. Are ministers of the New Covenant and the Holy Spirit.
(Through this QT I find the testimony of Lovingly Confident Spiritual Leaders)
----------------------------
‘Good Shepherd Leaders.’
1 Peter 5:2-4.
a) 1 Peter 5:2. Keep watch over God’s Flock that is under their care.
b) 1 Peter 5:2. Use their Spiritual Authority gladly and willingly.
c) 1 Peter 5:2. Are not eager for money but rather eager to serve.
d) 1 Peter 5:3. Do not lord it over God’s Flock but rather set them a good example.
e) 1 Peter 5:4. Will be given an Eternal Crown of Glory when the Chief Shepherd appears.
(This Second one shows me something about Good Shepherd Leaders)
---------------------------
Chris.
Good Shepherd Leaders are not eager for money. The Churches should look after their Shepherd Leaders well so that they and their families have enough to live sufficiently well within their cultural environment.

Rich And Poor People In This World!
‘Rich And Poor People In This World.’
Proverbs 19:6-7.
This passage shows me that in this World system neither rich people nor poor people can be happy outside of Jesus Christ.
a) Many people beg favours from a rich ruler. This ruler may have riches but no peace or joy.
b) The person who gives gifts has many false friends.
c) A poor person is shunned by all their relatives.
d) The “friends” of the poor person avoid that person.
e) The poor person calls after their relatives and “friends” but they are gone.
(Through this QT I fully understand that both the Rich And Poor People In This World desperately need the Love of God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ)
----------------------------
‘Living And Doing As A True Believer.’
John 13:15
a) Christ has set us an Example.
b) We are to live in the same way that Christ lived.
c) We are to do for others what Christ has done for us.
(This Second one reminds me that I should be Living And Doing As A True Believer)
---------------------------
Chris.
The person who gives gifts has many false friends. This statement of the Scripture should make us consider several things. Firstly, if we want to give gifts and have a gift from God of giving, we need to give discreetly for God’s Glory. Secondly, if we are a True Believer we do not treat specially or just hang around generous people with our wrong motive. Thirdly, we should never acts as self made “agents” on behalf of the poor people in front of the rich people.

The Rich People Who Do Not Know God!
‘The Rich People Who Do Not Know God.’
Ecclesiastes 5:8-12.
a) Ecclesiastes 5:8-9. They oppress the poor.
b) Ecclesiastes 5:10. Are not satisfied with what they have – they always want more.
c) Ecclesiastes 5:11. There is no real gain to them when they increase their goods.
d) Ecclesiastes 5:12. Quite often cannot sleep because of digestion problems or worry.
e) 1 Timothy 6:17. They really need God.
(This QT shows me the sad condition of The Rich People Who Do Not Know God)
--------------------------
‘If We Have Humility And The Fear Of The Lord.’
Proverbs 22:4.
We may have:-
a) Riches.
b) Honour.
c) Life.
(Through this Second one I find what may be mine If I Have Humility And The Fear Of The Lord)
---------------------------
Chris.
The love of money cannot bring real gain to anyone’s life. It may give them some financial benefit or belongings but those things in themselves cannot produce real gain. Only the knowledge of God can bring real gain to a person’s life.
The Way To A Pure Ministry!
‘The Way To A Pure Ministry.’
2 Corinthians 2:14-17.
a) 2 Corinthians 2:14. Giving Thanks to God.
b) 2 Corinthians 2:14. Living in Christ’s Triumph.
c) 2 Corinthians 2:14. Giving the Glory to God, it is He Who uses us to spread the Good News.
d) 2 Corinthians 2:15-16. Living in front of people, whoever they are, as a fragrance presented by Christ to God.
e) 2 Corinthians 2:16. Be humble about our God given task.
f) 2 Corinthians 2:17. God is watching us so we preach the Message:-
1- Not just to make money.
2- With sincerity.
3- With Christ’s Authority.
(Through this QT I find The Way To A Pure Ministry)
-------------------------
‘Come Back To The Lord.’
a) Proverbs 14:12. We need to follow God’s Way and not the way that we think is right.
b) Isaiah 53:6. And let Him restore us.
c) Isaiah 55:7. We are to forsake our wicked ways and evil thoughts. We are to turn to the Lord our God, He will have Mercy on us and freely Pardon us.
d) Hosea 10:12. It is time to seek the Lord until He comes and rains Righteousness on us.
(This Second one calls me and all people who may read this to Come Back To The Lord)
-------------------------
Chris.
We should never simply preach just to make money. The Bible tells us that the Church is to financially look after its Pastors if it is in a position to do so. It is wrong, however, for the Servant of the Lord to consider money and making money as the motive for their ministry.

They Will Not Go Unpunished!
‘They Will Not Go Unpunished.’
a) Proverbs 19:5 & 9. The false witness.
b) Exodus 20:7; Deuteronomy 5:11. The people who misuse the Name of the Lord our God.
c) Exodus 34:7; Numbers 14:18; Nahum 1:3. Unforgiven guilty people.
d) 1 Kings 2:8-9. Those people who curse the Servant of the Lord.
e) Proverbs 6:29. The adulterous man.
f) Proverbs 11:21. Unrepentant wicked people.
g) Proverbs 16:5. People who are proud of heart.
h) Proverbs 17:5. The person who is glad at calamity.
i) Proverbs 28:20. The person who is eager to get rich.
j) Jeremiah 25:29. Sinful Jerusalem.
k) Ezekiel 17:15 & 18. Treaty breaking people.
(Through this QT I have a sombre realisation: They Will Not Go Unpunished)
------------------------
‘Knowing The Lord.’
a) Philippians 3:8. Is more important than everything else.
b) Philippians 3:10. Knowing Him and:-
1- The Power of His Resurrection.
2- The fellowship of His Sufferings.
3- Becoming like Him in His Death.
c) John 17:3. Is Eternal Life.
d) Jeremiah 9:23-24. Our only boast should be that we know Him.
e) Psalm 85:6-7. Knowing Him as our:-
1- Life.
2- Love.
3- Saviour.
(This Second one teaches me the necessity of Knowing The Lord)
------------------------
Chris.
Knowing the fellowship of the Lord’s Sufferings is a part of knowing Him. We should never try to avoid or complain about the fellowship of the Lord’s Sufferings. Through this fellowship we can come to know Him more dearly.

With Christ On A Journey!
‘With Christ On A Journey.’
Luke 8:22-26.
a) Luke 8:22. It was a journey:-
1- With His Disciples.
2- On a boat.
3- Initiated by Jesus.
b) Luke 8:23. As Jesus and His Disciples sailed:-
1- Jesus fell asleep.
2- A wind storm came down upon the lake.
3- The boat began to fill with water.
4- They were in great danger.
c) Luke 8:24. The Disciples came to Jesus Who was still sleeping and awoke Him with the words that all aboard the ship were about to die.
d) Luke 8:24. Jesus awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water.
e) Luke 8:24. All became calm.
f) Luke 8:25. Jesus challenged His Disciples as to their Faith and they marvelled at Jesus that He even commanded the winds and the stormy sea to obey Him and be still.
g) Luke 8:26. They arrived safely at the destination that Jesus initially wanted to go to.
(Through this QT: With Christ On A Journey, I can see that when we step out in the Will of God, no matter what the outcome of the journey, Jesus Christ is with us)
-----------------------
‘The Winds.’
a) Matthew 8:27. Are submitted to Jesus.
b) Matthew 7:25. Cannot cause our crash if we are built on a secure foundation.
c) Matthew 11:7. John the Baptist was not shaken by the winds in the desert.
d) Acts 27:4-15. Could seemingly hinder missionary journeys but actually they were creating the Will of God.
e) Revelation 7:1. Can be controlled by Angels.
(Through this Second one I am in awe of The Winds that God has created)
-----------------------
Chris.
The winds are submitted to Jesus and not to us. He is in control over the weather and will do what He wants to do. Like the Disciples in the boat we may be urged to pray and have Faith in times of inclement weather or strong winds but we need to realise that it is the Lord who is in control and He can even use the weather for His Glory.

In The Will Of God But…!
‘In The Will Of God But…’
2 Corinthians 2:12-13.
a) Apostle Paul went to Troas for the sake of the Gospel.
b) A door was opened to him there – In the Lord. This was what the Lord wanted.
c) However Apostle Paul had no rest in his spirit because his co-worker Titus was not there.
d) Apostle Paul left Troas and went on to Macedonia.
(Through this QT I see that Apostle Paul was In The Will Of God But it was difficult for him in Troas because he thought Titus would be there but he was not)
----------------------
‘What About The Angels Who Sinned?’
2 Peter 2:24.
a) God did not spare them.
b) God cast them down to hell.
c) God committed them to pits of darkness.
d) God has reserved them for Judgment.
(Through this Second one: What About The Angels Who Sinned? I catch a glimpse of how God hates sin. No wonder that our sin separates us from God)
----------------------
Chris.
Apostle Paul had no rest in his spirit because Titus was not in Troas. There is no doubt that Paul did not make a mistake in going to Troas, it was an open door from the Lord and yet he had a difficult time, just because we are in the Will of God it does not mean that we will not face difficult times.
A Caution For Wealthy And Generous People!
‘A Caution For Wealthy And Generous People.’
a) Proverbs 19:4; 14:20. Money can easily make false friends.
b) Proverbs 19:6. Everyone is the friend of a person who gives gifts.
c) Luke 15:13. Do not waste money on sinful pleasures.
(This QT shows me A Caution For Wealthy And Generous People)
---------------------
‘Victory Always Belongs To The Lord.’
Revelation 20:1-2.
a) The Angel:-
1- Came down from Heaven.
2- Holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit.
3- Holding in his hand a great chain.
b) The Angel seized the dragon:-
1- The dragon is the ancient serpent.
2- The dragon is the Devil.
3- The dragon is Satan.
c) The Angel bound Satan for a thousand years.
(Through this Second one I know that Victory Always Belongs To The Lord)
---------------------
Chris.
True Believers should not waste money on sinful pleasures. It is not wrong to enjoy some harmless relaxing activity but we should not get into activity that is undeniably sinful. May we preserve always the precious life and testimony that the Lord has given to us.

A Servant And Soldier!
‘A Servant And Soldier.’
2 Timothy 2:2-4.
a) 2 Timothy 2:2. The Servant of God:-
1- Is to learn.
2- Is to delegate.
3- Is to release other people to be Servants of God.
b) 2 Timothy 2:3. The Servant of God must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
c) 2 Timothy 2:4. The Servant of God must not get entangled in the affairs of this life.
d) 2 Timothy 2:4. The Servant of God is a good soldier who seeks to please the Lord.
(Through this QT I am reminded of the life of a true minister of Christ – A Servant And Soldier)
--------------------
‘Keep Watch.’
a) 1 Corinthians 10:12. Against pride.
b) Exodus 23:13; Joshua 22:5; 1 Kings 2:3-4. In obeying God.
c) Exodus 34:12. Against wrong contracts or agreements.
d) Deuteronomy 4:9. Over our thinking mind.
e) Joshua 23:11. Over our love for the Lord.
f) 1 Kings 8:25. Over our behaviour.
g) Psalm 39:1; 141:3. Over what we say.
h) Proverbs 4:23. Over our emotional heart.
i) Matthew 16:6; Philippians 3:2. Against hypocritical religion.
j) Matthew 25:13. For the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
k) Galatians 6:1. That we do not fall in temptation.
l) 2 John 1:8. And be diligent, so that we will receive our full reward.
(This Second one tells me frankly to Keep Watch)
--------------------
Chris.
We should keep watch over what we say. If we are truly a New Creation in Christ our speech should be “seasoned with salt”. When I hear some of the lies and gossip of “Christian” people I am astounded and I pray for myself. I do not want to have the wrong attitude towards these people but to keep my heart clean. God is their Judge and not me. If they sin against the Church however, the Church must discipline such people in an appropriate way.
The Power Of Mutual Forgiveness!
‘The Power Of Mutual Forgiveness.’
2 Corinthians 2:10-11.
a) We join the entire Church in the act of forgiveness.
b) The individual forgives for the sake of the Body.
c) Then we will not be outwitted and caught out by Satan.
d) We are not ignorant of Satan’s devices.
(This QT clearly teaches me about The Power Of Mutual Forgiveness)
-------------------
‘Be Clean Spiritually.’
James 4:7-8.
a) Submit to God.
b) Resist the Devil and the Devil will flee from us.
c) Draw near to God and He will draw near to us.
d) We need to cleanse our hands. (The motives for doing things and the way of doing them)
e) We need to realise our sin and double-mindedness.
f) We need to purify our hearts.
(This Second one calls me to Be Clean Spiritually)
-------------------
Chris.
The individual forgives for the sake of the Body. If the Church has decided to forgive a person within that Church of their sin against the Church then the forgiveness that is given must be unanimous otherwise it has no meaning. Let us remember that the Church is theocracy rather than democracy.

Avoid Ignorance And Rashness!
‘Avoid Ignorance And Rashness.
Proverbs 19:2-3.
a) Zeal without knowledge is not good.
b) A person who moves too quickly may go the wrong way.
c) Psalm 49:20; Isaiah 50:1. People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then their hearts are angry against the Lord.
(Through this QT I want to Avoid Ignorance And Rashness)
------------------
‘Ready To Stand.’
Ephesians 6:10-13.
a) Ephesians 6:10. We are to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His Might.
b) Ephesians 6:11. We are to put on the whole armour of God that we may be able to stand against the schemes of the Devil.
c) Ephesians 6:12. Our fight:-
1- Is not against flesh and blood.
2- Is against spiritual rulers.
3- Is against spiritual powers.
4- Is against the cosmic powers of this present darkness.
5- Is against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
d) Ephesians 6:13. We are to take up the whole armour of God that we may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand.
(This Second one calls me to be Ready To Stand)
------------------
Chris.
I write this QT at a time when there has been another skirmish between North and South Korea. A lot of painful memories of the Korean war come up during the skirmish times. True Believers need to put on their spiritual armour and stand firm.

Be A Good Example – Not A Perfect One!
‘Be A Good Example – Not A Perfect One.’
a) 1 Corinthians 11:1. Apostle Paul set the standard for example to the Corinthian Church.
b) Romans 7:24. Apostle Paul humbly shared his wretchedness. He did not pretend to be victorious when he was not.
c) Philippians 3:12. An example of pressing on.
d) Philippians 4:9. The Philippian Church were to put into practice the things that Apostle Paul taught them and showed them.
e) John 13:35. If we have love for each other as Christ’s Disciples the World will know the reality of True Christianity.
(This QT calls me to Be A Good Example – Not A Perfect One)
-----------------
‘A Changed Life And A Consistent Life.’
We can see from the Scriptures how the Lord changed Peter’s life and personality, this was done by His Grace and Love.
a) John 18:10. Peter had a violent temper.
b) Matthew 16:22. Peter rebuked Jesus.
c) Matthew 26:69-75. Peter denied Jesus.
d) Acts 9:32-43. Peter was changed and had an effective ministry.
e) Mark 16:18. Peter obeyed the command of Jesus to heal the sick people.
(This Second one shows me the proof of Christ’s Work in the life of an unstable follower –Christ gave to Peter A Changed Life And A Consistent Life)
-----------------
Chris.
The World needs to see the reality of True Christianity. Sometimes I have a sense of frustration and meaninglessness when I see and hear of the problems besetting the Churches today. I thank God for the healthy Churches but it seems for every healthy Church there are two or three unhealthy ones. There are some important principles: The Church belongs to Jesus and not to us: The Church is people and not a building: If the Church does not repent when it needs to it becomes “Ichabod”, the Glory departs even though the programme may continue.
Apostle Paul’s Message To The Corinthians!
‘Apostle Paul’s Message To The Corinthians.’
2 Corinthians 2:9.
a) It was in strong terms, he had a specific reason for writing.
b) It was investigative (he wanted to find out something).
c) It was seeking their commitment – how far would they go in obeying him.
(Through this QT: Apostle Paul’s Message To The Corinthians, I realise how important it is for leaders to honestly communicate with the people that they lead)
----------------
‘To Follow The Lord.
a) Matthew 16:24. If we want to be Christ’s follower:-
1- We put aside our selfish ambition.
2- We shoulder our cross.
3- We follow Him.
b) 2 Corinthians 4:11. We do not protect ourselves but rather we trust Him to protect us.
c) John 10:27. We simply follow Him as sheep follow a shepherd.
d) Romans 8:14. As we follow and obey Him we have confident assurance that we are God’s Children.
e) Romans 12:1-2. We should be totally available to Him.
(This Second one makes me understand what it means To Follow The Lord)
----------------
Chris.
Ministry and Church leaders need to forget about the fact that they are called to be leaders and to concentrate much more on helping the people that they lead. These leaders need a “servant” concept to remain as good leaders rather than a “leader” concept.

Integrity!
‘Integrity.’
a) Proverbs 19:1; Psalm 26:1 & 11. Is something to walk in – even if we are poor.
b) Genesis 20:5-6; 1 Kings 9:4. Comes from our heart.
c) Psalm 7:8; 41:12. The Lord will judge our integrity.
d) Psalm 25:21. May preserve us.
(Though this QT I want always to live with Integrity)
---------------
‘Our Preservation Is From The Lord.’
a) Genesis 32:30. At Peniel Jacob saw God Face to face and God preserved him.
b) Psalm 103:4. The Lord redeems our life from the pit.
c) Romans 4:17. He gives life to the dead and calls into being the things that are not.
d) Genesis 32:24. We often experience God in the greatest ways when we are alone with Him.
(Through this Second one I know that My Preservation Is From The Lord)
---------------
Chris.
Poverty is not something to be ashamed of. The vast majority of the people in this World are poor. The problem is our mindset and political systems. These systems often cause people to strive to be “successful”, even if it means destroying other people along the way. We need to thank God if we have enough and more to live on and not be greedy for more… more… more.

Hold On To What Is Good!
‘Hold On To What Is Good.’
a) 1 Thessalonians 5:21. This is the exhortation of Apostle Paul.
b) Deuteronomy 11:8-9; 32:47; John 8:31. Obedience helps us to hold on.
c) Deuteronomy 32:46; Proverbs 3:1; 2 Thessalonians 2:15. Taking God’s Words into our heart and passing them on to the next generation helps us to hold on.
d) Proverbs 3:21-24. Hold on to good planning and insight.
e) Proverbs 23:23. Hold on to:-
1- The Truth.
2- Wisdom.
3- Discipline.
4- Discernment.
f) Acts 11:23. Stay true to the Lord.
g) Romans 12:9. Stand on the side of the good.
h) Philippians 4:8. Fix our thoughts on what is good and correct.
i) Hebrews 10:23; Revelation 2:25; 3:11. Hold on to the Hope that we say that we have.
j) Revelation 3:3. Hold on to what we hear and Believe of the Good News.
(Through this QT I want to Hold On To What Is Good)
--------------

a) Hebrews 1:14. They are sent out by the Lord for the sake of True Believers.
b) 2 Kings 6:17. There are many.
c) Psalm 34:7. To deliver and help those people who Fear the Lord.
(I acknowledge by the Second one that Angels Protect Me)
--------------
Chris.
We should thank God for the times that He sends Angels to protect us. Sometimes we know about those times very well and sometimes we have no idea about it. We simply continue to Trust and Obey the Lord.

The Pain Of An Absent Spiritual Father!
‘The Pain Of An Absent Spiritual Father.’
2 Corinthians 2:1-8.
Apostle Paul knew very well about the situation of the Corinthian Church and about their problems. There were messengers in the Bible days and letters were written. There was no telephone or internet. Sometimes telephones are not very useful in solving people’s problems except in great emergencies! Demanded responses that are quickly called for are dangerous and may cause more hurt and problems because the person who is being asked to counsel has no time to think or pray.
a) 2 Corinthians 2:1. Apostle Paul made up his mind not to pay another painful visit to Corinth, he did not want to give or receive pain.
b) 2 Corinthians 2:2. There would be a lot of focus on the person who caused the pain. That was not good.
c) 2 Corinthians 2:3. Apostle Paul wanted to come to Corinth with rejoicing and not in pain.
d) 2 Corinthians 2:4-5. Apostle Paul knew that his letter caused pain in the Church – it was a necessary pain that brought a cleansing of the Church with it. Apostle Paul wrote that letter because of his deep and real love for the Church.
e) 2 Corinthians 2:6-8. After the punishment of the guilty person by the Church there needed to be a time of:-
1- Forgiveness.
2- Comfort.
3- Defeat of overwhelming sorrow.
4- Love.
(This QT shows me The Pain Of An Absent Spiritual Father)
-------------
‘The Noble Thessalonian Jews.’
Acts 17:11.
a) Received the Word of God with all eagerness.
b) Examined the Scriptures daily.
c) Checked that the content of what they were being taught was Biblical.
(Through this Second one: The Noble Thessalonian Jews, I find a principle that every Church should have but that the vast majority of Churches and para church movements have not)
-------------
Chris.
I am so Blessed by these noble Thessalonian Jews! The reason why Apostle Paul called them “Noble” was that they loved God’s Word themselves and looked after their Churches well by checking the content of what they were being taught in Church with their Bibles. We should develop this practice in both Church and para church today.

Companions!
‘Companions.’
a) Proverbs 18:24. Are not always helpful, but a good friend is helpful.
b) Exodus 2:13; Judges 7:22. Sometimes get into conflict.
c) Judges 7:13. May listen to our personal conversation.
d) 1 Chronicles 27:33. Even rulers need them.
e) Psalm 55:13. Should be equal to us and friends with us.
f) Psalm 119:63. The True Believer’s companions should be those people who Fear the Lord.
g) Psalm 122:8. Should stimulate Shalom.
h) Proverbs 13:20. Of fools will suffer harm.
i) Proverbs 22:24. Should not be hot tempered people.
j) Ecclesiastes 4:10. May lift us up when we fall.
k) Malachi 2:14. Our wife is also our companion.
l) Acts 13:13; 2 Corinthians 8:19. Apostle Paul served and travelled together with them.
(Through this QT I thank God for good Companions)
------------
‘The Greater Things.’
a) 3 John 1:4. The Joy that Good News brings.
b) Luke 22:26. Humble leaders.
c) John 14:12. The Works that Disciples of Jesus do.
d) Mark 12:40. Punishment for hypocritical religious leaders.
(Through this Second one I am more aware of The Greater Things)
------------
Chris.
Companions should stimulate Shalom! Companionship is created by God. Right back in the earliest days God saw that it was not good for a person to be alone. Animals cannot be companions, only people can be companions. If we have, or if we are, good companions, then through companionship peace will be in our hearts.
Companions!
‘Companions.’
a) Proverbs 18:24. Are not always helpful, but a good friend is helpful.
b) Exodus 2:13; Judges 7:22. Sometimes get into conflict.

d) 1 Chronicles 27:33. Even rulers need them.

-----------
Chris.
Haman is his desperate frenzy attempted to assault Esther the queen. King Ahasuerus came in just at the right time so that Haman was caught. Of course Haman had to hang for his crimes. God’s rules of Justice were not severe and should still apply today. Most Nations have turned their back on God’s Word and standards and the result is an inevitable mess in more ways than one. The Prayers of God’s People for the Nations is never more important than it is today.

(Through this Second one I want to Look Upward And Look Outward)
----------
Chris.
Who enjoys the word “fail”? Whatever we may put that word to, it gives us pain and shame if it refers to ourselves. When we do as the Lord wants us to do He Will make our lives like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.
Poor People!
‘Poor People.’

b) 1 John 4:1. Many false prophets have gone out into the World.
c) 1 John 4:2. How can we recognise the Spirit of God? Every spirit that agrees that Jesus Christ came in a human body belongs to God.
d) 1 John 4:3. The spirit of Antichrist which is in the World system now refuses to recognise that Jesus Christ came in a human body.

2-Talk World system talk.
3-The World system listens to them.
g) 1 John 4:6. We can tell the difference between the Spirit of God and the spirit of lies because we belong to God and those people who know God listen to us. Those people who do not belong to God do not listen to us.
h) 1 John 4:15. Everyone who says openly that Jesus is the Son of God, has God in him and is in God.
(Through this Second one I thank God that I Am Of God)
---------
Chris.
The Lord gives Light to the eyes of poor people. This Scripture makes me think of and pray for those people involved in different forms of medical mercy missions. There are now some mobile hospitals that through simple surgical routines can give sight to blind people. There are, of course, many other types of medical missions that are doing wonderful works. The least we can do is to pray for these missions.

At Times Of Prayer For A Special Need!
‘At Times Of Prayer For A Special Need.’
Daniel 10:3.
Daniel had a revelation about a coming conflict or war. He sought the Lord then in a very special way. Remember his position was as a Spiritual Leader in his times. He was not a sensationalist but a sincere man of God.
a) For three weeks.
b) He ate no delicacies or “choice” food.
c) No meat entered his mouth.
d) No wine entered his mouth.
e) He used no lotions at all.
(Through this QT I am challenged: At Times Of Prayer For A Special Need)
--------
‘When We Fast With Mercy.’
Isaiah 58:8.
a) Then shall our light break forth as the dawn.
b) Then will our healing quickly appear.
c) Then our righteousness will go before us as a testimony because it is the Lord’s Righteousness.
d) Then the Glory of the Lord will be our rear guard.
(This Second one teaches me what will happen if and When I Fast With Mercy)
--------
Chris.
During his special need fast Daniel ate no delicacies or “choice” food. God has given to us many good things to eat. In some of the countries where we live delicacies and “choice” food have become the normal diet. During my recent season of sickness and recovery I have come to appreciate the good food that God gives me to eat very much.
It Is God's Work!
‘It Is God’s Work.’
2 Corinthians 1:21-23.
a) 2 Corinthians 1:21. To give us mutually strong Faith in Christ Jesus.

d) 2 Corinthians 1:22. To put His Spirit in our hearts to be a Guarantee for all that He has Promised.

b) Titus 2:10. Our lives should do credit to the Teaching of God our Saviour.
c) 1 Timothy 1:10-11. A part of the Good News of the Great and Blessed God is true Teaching that tells God’s People how to live.
d) 1 Timothy 4:16. Every Servant of God needs to give attention to themselves and to their teaching. If the Servant of God continues to live and teach correctly they will Save both themselves and those people who listen to them.
(This Second one is a strong reminder that I Need To Get It Correct)
--------
Chris.
God has given us many Promises in His Word. All of these Promises are conditional. If we do something, then God will fulfill His Promise. Every True Believer lives in Grace and we should respond in the correct way to the Grace that is given to us.

A Wife!
‘A Wife.’
a) Proverbs 18:22. A man who finds a wife finds what is good and obtains favour from the Lord.
b) Proverbs 19:14. Only the Lord can give an understanding wife.
c) Proverbs 31:10. A virtuous and capable wife is worth more than precious rubies.
(Through this QT I thank the Lord for giving me A Wife)
-------

a) Luke 10:30. They may be on the roadside.
b) Judges 9:25. Sometimes they are entire people groups who are given to robbery.

d) Hosea 4:1-2; 6:9. It became the normal lifestyle in Israel.
e) Acts 19:37. The Ephesian Believers had the reputation that they were not robbers.
(This Second one reminds me to Beware Of Robbers)
-------
Chris.
A virtuous and capable wife is of immense value. Those of us who are married men should be regularly expressing appreciation to our wives and thanking God for them. Our words as husbands need to be encouraging and edifying for our wives. Our wives are not meant to be sponges for our work or ministry stress.
Jesus Of Nazareth!
‘Jesus Of Nazareth.’
Acts 10:38.
a) Was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and Power.
b) Went about doing good.
c) He went about healing all people who were oppressed by the Devil.
d) God the Father was with Him.
e) Hebrews 13:8. Jesus never changes.
(This QT gives me a glimpse of Jesus Of Nazareth)
------
‘Wisdom Is Proved To Be Right.’
Matthew 11:19.
a) The Son of Man came as a human being. He ate and He drank.
b) The people accused Him of being a glutton and a drunkard.
c) The people accused Him of being a friend of tax collectors and sinners.
d) But Wisdom is proved to be right by what it does and our Triune God is an all Wise God.
(Through this Second one I affirm that Wisdom Is Proved To Be Right)
------
Chris.
The Devil can do no good thing. He oppresses and depresses people. He also is the father of lies, putting it into the hearts of even little children to tell lies. The devil is a marriage breaker and friendship breaker. Thank God that through Jesus Christ we have Victory over the Devil.
The Big Yes!
‘The Big Yes.’
2 Corinthians 1:17-20.
a) 2 Corinthians 1:17. Apostle Paul did not vacillate with making human plans and then changing his mind.

Isaiah 10:27.
a) It happens in a day that they can recognise it is done.
b) He ends the bondage of His People.
c) He breaks the yoke of slavery.
d) He lifts the burden from their shoulders.
(Through this Second one I am so glad for When The Lord Ends His Peoples’ Slavery To Bondage)
-----
Chris.
The Son of God – Jesus Christ – is our Saviour. The Scripture clearly tells us that He alone is the Way to Father God. There is no other way to God apart from Jesus Christ. That is why, also, we should pray in His Name.

a) James 2:14. Faith needs to be accompanied by Works.
b) James 2:15. We need to consider the poor and hungry.
c) James 2:16. We need to act with Mercy and not just talk religiously.
d) James 2:17. Faith by itself, without works, is dead.
(This Second one reminds me that Faith And Works Are Necessary)
----
Chris.
Words should not be used to make quarrels. Words should be used to make peace. We are so easily strongly opinionated about the issues that are close to our heart. That does not mean that we are correct or that there is no room for other people’s opinions. Let us be verbal peacemakers and not causers of conflicts and quarrels

Be Free From Anxiety!
‘Be Free From Anxiety.’
Matthew 6:25-34.

(This Second one tells me that I Need To Know God’s Heart for fasting)
---
Chris.
We need increased Faith. The way to increase our Faith is clearly taught in the Bible. God’s Word says that Faith comes. How amazing and wonderful – we can all have more Faith. The way that Faith comes is through the Word of God, if we expose ourselves to God’s Word, our Faith will grow.

(This QT gives me a desire for Real Fellowship)
------------------------------
‘God’s Remedy For Anxiety.’
Philippians 4:6-7.
a) We do not have to be anxious. Responsible people often are anxious and mentally suffering people often are anxious.
b) In everything let your requests be made known to God – verbalise them. (Praying in charismatic gift does not help our anxieties – anxiety is not a spiritual problem):-
1- We pray from our heart about our anxieties.
2- We supplicate.
3- We give thanks.
4- 1-3 Cannot possibly be prayed with Charismatic gift. They have to be prayed in our first (heart) language.
c) Then the Shalom of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard and protect our hearts (emotions) and minds (thinking) in Jesus Christ.
(Through this Second one I find God’s Remedy For Anxiety)
------------------------------
Chris.
We really need to follow the Counsel of God’s Word if we to experience the things that God says we can experience. True Believers should never be something that they say they are but are not in reality. True Believers follow the Counsel of God’s Word.

b) Is to be sure of the things we hope for.
c) Is the conviction of things not seen.
d) Do we have Faith?
(From this Second one I understand that it is so important To Have Faith)
----------------------------
Chris.
The Giving of Gifts should be a part of every True Believer’s life. If we do not give Gifts to others it is a sure sign that we do not appreciate the Grace of God. God’s Grace stimulates our giving.

a) We can have confidence towards God in our prayers.
b) We know that if we ask anything according to God’s Will He hears us.
c) If we know that God listens to our requests we also know that we will have the requests that we ask of Him.
(This Second one calls me to Pray Confidently In The Will Of God)
----------------------------
Chris.
Assurance of our sins being forgiven by God is a must if we are going to have an effective and real prayer life. We live in days where sin is being “played down” as not being serious in many cultures and environments – this is totally against what the Bible teaches. We need to confess, forsake and repent of our sins if we are going to have a genuine relationship with God.

Bible Reading!
‘Bible Reading.’
a) 2 Corinthians 1:13. With the Word of God we need to:-

c) Luke 4:29. They attempted to kill Jesus – but falied.
(Through this Second one I am fully aware that Misunderstanding May Cause Racial Intolerance)
-------------------------
Chris.
QT is not meant to be something just played around in our imagination – it is meant to be a time with God when our life may be changed. Before having our QT it is good to turn away from anything in our life that we know is not good and to turn to God.
It Is Good To Be Intelligent!

m) 2 Kings 5:19. Elisha blessed Naaman to go in Peace.
(Through this Second one I find the Healing Grace of God manifest to a Gentile Syrian Commander – He Went In Peace)
--------------------------
Chris.
Sometimes when we say that we are “hurt” actually our pride is hurt. Let us learn this lesson from Naaman, it never harms us to humble ourselves before the Word of the Lord.

a) The opposite of understanding is foolishness, when we do not even bother to find out the Will of God for ourselves or we just trust in other people to tell us.
b) The Will of God is real Wisdom.
c) If we do not know the Will of God we will be unwise.
d) Our main understanding of God’s Will comes from His Word – the Bible.
(This Second one stimulates me to be Understanding The Will Of God More Clearly)
-------------------------
Chris.
Powerful prayer needs to be prayed from a pure heart. It cannot possibly be prayed if we have un-forgiveness in our heart. Jesus told us that when we forgive other people that we may need to forgive we need to do that from the heart. All prayer is blocked until we pray that prayer: “Heavenly Father I forgive…. And please forgive me for holding un-forgiveness in my heart…” Amen.
Our Behaviour In This World!
‘Our Behaviour In This World.’
2 Corinthians 1:12.
a) Motivated by a pure conscience.
b) With simplicity.
c) Holy and true in the Eyes of God.
d) Not by earthly wisdom.
e) By the Grace of God.
(This QT causes me to check My Behaviour In This World)
------------------------
‘We Learn From The Prayers Of Jesus.’
Hebrews 5:7.
a) Jesus, whilst on this Earth prayed and made supplications to Father God.
b) He prayed with loud cries and tears.
c) He prayed to the Father Whom He knew could save Him from death.
d) His prayers were answered because of His Fear of God.
(In this Second one I Learn From The Prayers Of Jesus)
------------------------
Chris.
Our behaviour in this World system should be motivated by a pure conscience. If our conscience is guilty it makes us totally insensitive to God. If we have a compromising conscience we always go our own way. If we have a twisted and warped corrupt conscience our life will be in bondage. Let us be motivated by a pure conscience.

l) Hebrews 12:7. Endures God’s Divine discipline.
m) James 1:11; 1 Peter 1:6. God blesses the people who patiently endure testing.
n) 1 Peter 2:19. Endures unfair treatment.
(This QT calls me to True Endurance)
-----------------------
‘Prayer Time.’
James 5:16-18.
a) James 5:16. Should be a powerful time of humility and healing.
b) James 5:17. Should be fervent.
c) James 5:18. Should be persistent.
(Through this Second one I find the reality and importance of Prayer Time)
-----------------------
Chris.
Salvation is the Free Gift of God and is always only by Grace. It is God’s desire that all of His Children have a full assurance of Salvation. Salvation is not by good works, rather true good works are a fruit of Salvation.
The Heart Of God To Restore His People!
‘The Heart Of God To Restore His People.’
Psalm 14:1-7.

g) Psalm 14:7. Salvation and Restoration come from the Lord for His People bringing Joy to them.
(Through this QT I find The Heart Of God To Restore His People)
-----------------------
‘Will We Remain Silent?’
1 Kings 18:21.
a) We should not waver between two opinions.
b) If the Lord is God – follow Him.
c) If idols are god – follow them.
d) But the people would not answer a word – they were completely silent.
(Through this Second one: Will We Remain Silent? I am determined not to remain silent)
-----------------------
Chris.
Obey the Lord. He is with those people who obey Him. People who live under certain political systems sometimes find obedience difficult because they have never been trained to obey anyone. To obey the Lord is a correct and good decision to make. It is always a safe place to be in when we are in obedience to Him.

God Can Rescue Us!
‘God Can Rescue Us.’
2 Corinthians 1:8-11.
a) 2 Corinthians 1:8. Apostle Paul and his team went through much difficulty in the Province of Asia. They experienced:-
1- Trouble.
2- Being crushed.
3- Being completely overwhelmed.
4- The thought that they could not endure the experience alive.
b) 2 Corinthians 1:9. Apostle Paul and his team expected to die in Asia but through this experience they learned not to rely on themselves but on God Who raises the dead.
c) 2 Corinthians 1:10. God delivered Paul’s team from mortal danger and he was confident of God’s continual deliverance.
d) 2 Corinthians 1:11. When the Body of Christ sincerely prays this can really help missionaries in difficult situations.
(This QT convinces me that God Can Rescue Me when I need Him to do so)
----------------------
‘Remain In The Lord.’

a) If we remain in the Lord.
b) If His Words remain in us.
c) We can ask any request that we like.
d) It will be granted.
(This Second one teaches me that if I want to see my prayers answered I need to Remain In The Lord)
----------------------
Chris.
John’s Gospel frankly tell us many Truths about the True Believer’s life and Worship. If we are to live as God wants us to live we need to read and to study the Bible.

We Should Not Be Presumptuous!
‘We Should Not Be Presumptuous.’

b) Deuteronomy 29:19-20. And treat our stubbornness lightly.
c) Isaiah 14:13-14. With spiritual pride.
d) Isaiah 29:15-16; 45:9-10. In rejecting our Creator God.
e) Luke 18:11-12. In deceiving ourselves.
f) 1 Corinthians 10:9-11. By putting Christ to the test.
(This QT reminds me that I Should Not Be Presumptuous)
---------------------
‘When The Lord Restores A Nation.’
Isaiah 51:3-5.
a) Isaiah 51:3. He gives:-
1- Comfort.
2- Beauty.
3- Joy and Gladness.
4- Thanksgiving.
b) Isaiah 51:4. His People will hear Him and declare His Word and His Justice so that the restored Nation can be a light to the Nations.
c) Isaiah 51:5. He manifests His:-
1- Mercy.
2- Justice.
3- Salvation.
4- Lordship.
5- Power.
(Through this Second one I understand what happens When The Lord Restores A Nation)
---------------------
Chris.
God manifests His Mercy as a part of His Work of Restoration. We need the Mercy of God. Sometimes God’s People go so far away from Him that we do not even realise we need His Mercy. When God Restores any individual, family, Church or Nation those involved in the Restoration will surely recognise and value the Mercy of God.
When God Speaks Through Prophecy!
‘When God Speaks Through Prophecy.’
Isaiah 44:26.
a) He carries out what His prophets predict.
b) When the prophets spoke of good things regarding God’s People as a message from God.
c) God says that It will be done.
(This QT reminds me that When God Speaks Through Prophecy it will be fulfilled)
--------------------
‘A New Freedom.’
Isaiah 49:19.
a) There were desolate parts of an abandoned land.
b) Those desolate parts were soon to be crowded with the Lord’s People.
c) The enemies who put God’s People into slavery will be far away.
(This prophecy encourages me greatly: A New Freedom)
--------------------
Chris.
When the prophets speak the Message from the Lord sometimes they speak of good things. The gift of prophecy is for our edification, exhortation and comfort. We should test prophecy, the Bible tells us that. If the Church believes any prophecy to be false they can reject the prophecy. The current charismatic phenomenon of “personal prophecies” is more often than not quite harmful to people’s faith and the persons who give “personal prophecies” must be carefully monitored by and submitted to the local Church.

e) 2 Corinthians 1:7. If we share in Christ’s suffering we will also share in God’s Comfort.
(Through this QT I deeply appreciate and am grateful to The God Of All Comfort)
-------------------
‘God’s Manifested Love.’
Amos 9:11-14.
a) Amos 9:11. God is a Restorer and a Rebuilder.
b) Amos 9:12. God is the Giver of Inheritance.
c) Amos 9:13. God is the Producer of Fruitfulness.
d) Amos 9:14. God is the One Who frees His People from captivity.
(Through this Second one I want to know more of God’s Manifested Love)
-------------------
Chris.
We should, as True Believers, encourage other people. The practise of encouragement is so often missing in our families and churches. We learn wrong things like gossip and hyper-spiritual behaviour but we neglect encouragement.
Humility!
‘Humility.’
a) Proverbs 18:12; 29:23. Comes before honour.

h) Ephesians 4:2; Philippians 2:3; Titus 3:2. We are to live in it as we relate to other people.
i) Colossians 2:18 & 23. Hyper-spiritual people have a false humility.
j) Colossians 3:12; 1 Peter 5:5. We need to wear it.
k) 2 Timothy 2:25. Needs to be the attitude of leaders in the Body of Christ.
(Through this QT I know that I need to live in Humility)
------------------

a) Ezekiel 36:33. Wastes places and ruins will be rebuilt.
b) Ezekiel 36:34-36. Fields will be farmed and fruitful.

d) Ezekiel 36:38. Many people will come to know the Lord.
(Through this Second one I understand more about The Blessings From Being Cleansed From Iniquity)
---------------
Chris.
Hyper-spiritual people have a false humility. These people are quite un-teachable because they always live by “hearing the voice of God”. They pay little attention to the Counsel of the Word of God. These people often have a negative “spiritual” influence and control over other people.
In The End Times!
‘In The End Times.’
Matthew 24:21-22.
a) Jesus said that there will be a time of greater horror than the World has ever seen or ever will see.
b) Jesus said that unless this time of calamity will be shortened, the entire human race would be destroyed.
c) Jesus said this time was shortened for the sake of God’s Chosen Ones.
(This QT makes me realise that I am nearer to be living In The End Times)
-----------------
‘A Difficult Task For A Purified Servant.’
Isaiah 6:5-13.
a) Isaiah 6:5. Isaiah realised his sin in front of the Lord.
b) Isaiah 6:6-7. Isaiah was cleansed and forgiven.
c) Isaiah 6:8. Isaiah was able to hear the Lord and to respond to Him.
d) Isaiah 6:9-10. Isaiah had a very difficult task from the Lord.
e) Isaiah 6:11. Isaiah questioned the Lord about how long he had to do this.
f) Isaiah 6:12. The Lord said to him that he was not to stop doing it. He was to do it until all the Jewish people were taken into exile.
(This Second one teaches me that sometimes God gives A Difficult Task For A Purified Servant)
-----------------
Chris.
If we are committed True Believers, doing our best to follow and obey the Lord, there are times when He may give us a difficult task to do. At such times we should trust Him and remain faithful.
