a)   Have difficulty in leading rebellious people. Rebellious people need a team of leaders to lead them.

b)   With an intelligent leader there is lasting order.

c)   A leader who oppresses the poor people is a beating rain that leaves no food.

‘When We Suffer For Christ.’

1 Peter 4:13-14.

a)   We should Rejoice in so far as we are sharing Christ’s sufferings.

b)   Then we will be glad and shout for Joy when Christ’s Glory is revealed.

c)   If we are reviled for the Name of Christ we are Blessed.

d)   The Spirit of Glory, which is the Spirit of God.

e)   Rests upon us.

(This Second one should help me respond correctly When I Suffer For Christ)

We need good Leaders to lead us whether we are a Church or a Nation. Dysfunctional or corrupt leaders and leaders who involve in nepotism are an abomination to God in these days. This is why God’s People need to make a point of praying devotedly for their leaders.

It Is Correct To Say That Jesus Is Lord!

‘It Is Correct To Say That Jesus Is Lord.’ a) John 13:13. Jesus Himself said so. b) 1 Corinthians 8:6. There is one Lord – Jesus Christ. c) 1 Corinthians 12:3. We are prompted by the Holy Spirit to say so. d) Philippians 2:11. Every tongue is to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father. (This QT reminds me so clearly that It Is Correct To Say Jesus Is Lord) ‘God Works In Us.’ a) Philippians 2:13. To will and to work for His Good Pleasure. b) 1 Corinthians 12:6. In all of us in different ways. c) Hebrews 13:21. To equip us with everything good to do His Will. d) 1 Corinthians 15:10. By His Grace. (Through this Second one I Know that God Works In Me and so I am grateful to Him for that) Chris. It is correct to say that Jesus is Lord. Familiarising our relationship with God by saying irreverent things to Him in our prayers, or teaching other people to do so is a very dangerous habit because it actually belittles God. It is the prompting of the Holy Spirit to call Jesus Lord and it is the Spirit of God within us that calls out Abba Father (an intimate and yet respectable way). To call God “daddy” and so forth is not really correct.

Humility is one of the traits that should be top of the list for the life of the True Believer. We can easily become spiritually proud in thinking ourselves to be more spiritually in tune than other Believers. We can become spiritually proud because of some spiritual gifts that we may minister. We can become spiritually proud because of our prayer and fasting. Let us make humility a priority.

Those people who have tired hands and weak knees in the Body of Christ need to be loved and accepted and not criticised and rejected. I meet so many tired and weak kneed True Believers who really need a rest and sometimes they need counsel and ministry. What they do not need is being pushed to do more in Church or ministry team. We should be compassionate and make it easier for these people to be refreshed and restored.

Christ Jesus Pleads Our Case!

a) Who is going to convict and condemn us?
b) It is Christ Jesus Who died for us.

It is Jesus Christ Who is at God’s Right Hand interceding for us. This is a wonderful part of the Gospel of Jesus. The words “full gospel” are often used today to describe people who believe in and use Gifts of the Holy Spirit. I believe in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit but I reject the use of the words “full gospel” to describe that kind of Church. The full Gospel is in four parts: The Cross of Christ; The Resurrection of Christ; The Ascension of Christ; The Intercession of Christ.

Christ Is All That Matters!

a) Now, as True Believers, we have new life.
b) It does not matter if we are:-
1- Jew.
2- Gentile.
3- Circumcised.
4- Uncircumcised.
5- Barbaric.

d) He lives in all True Believers, no matter what their background.

a) The Prayer of the Elders, offered in Faith, will heal the sick people.

e) The earnest Prayer of a Righteous person has great power.

Anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. This is an amazing statement that covers anyone. The person who puts their trust in the Lord, whoever they are, can know forgiveness of sins. Sin is something that people actually commit. We clearly know if we have sinned whether it is action of body, word or thought. There is forgiveness for sins through the Cross of Jesus Christ.

God Provides It All!

a) Proverbs 27:25. When:-
1- The hay has been mown.
2- The new grass appears.
3- The mountain grasses are gathered in.
b) Proverbs 27:26. Then the lambs will provide clothing.

d) Proverbs 27:27. You will have enough goats milk to buy food for:-

The goats will sell enough to buy a field. God provides for different people in different ways. This is His Amazing Grace. There are many people in this World who do not realise and understand that God provides for them. The Bible tells us about work as a means of receiving God’s Provision. The Bible tells about human generosity as a means of receiving God’s Provision. The Bible tells us of God’s miraculous intervention in releasing His Provision. It is all up to Him how He does but we can be sure that God provides.

a) Mark 2:1. Jesus came back to Capernaum and that news quickly spread.
b) Mark 2:2. The house where Jesus was staying became so packed inside and out.
c) Mark 2:2. Jesus was Preaching the Word of God to them.
d) Mark 2:3. Four men arrived at the house carrying a paralysed man on a mat.
e) Mark 2:4. These men could not bring the paralysed man into the house because of the crowd.
f) Mark 2:4. These men went up on to the roof of the house and made a hole.
g) Mark 2:4. Then they lowered the man, on his mat, right down in front of Jesus.
h) Mark 2:5. Jesus saw their Faith and He told the paralysed man that his sins were forgiven. Soon after that the man was healed.
(This Second one demonstrates to me Evident Faith)

So often we make excuses for not exercising our Faith. If we do this we can become spiritually lazy. Here was a situation that challenged the four men carrying the paralysed man on his mat. The house was full to overflowing with people. They could have compromised and waited outside hoping for a chance to meet Jesus, however they did not, they went up on to the roof and made a hole right above Jesus and let the man down in front of Him. They exercised their Faith and it was rewarded.

Ready To Be Revealed With Christ In Glory!

Colossians 3:4-10.
a) Colossians 3:4. When Christ, Who is our life, is revealed we will then be revealed with Him in Glory. We are Eternal beings. God wants us to be ready for Eternity.
b) Colossians 3:5. We need now to put to death what belongs to our worldly nature:-
1- Sexual immorality.
2- Impurity.
3- Lust.
4- Evil desire.
5- Greed – which is idolatry.
c) Colossians 3:6. Because of the above things God’s Wrath comes upon disobedient people.
d) Colossians 3:7. This is the old former life style without Christ.
e) Colossians 3:8. We should put away:-
1- Anger.
2- Wrath.
3- Malice.
4- Slander.
5- Filthy language.
f) Colossians 3:9. We should not lie to one another since we have put off the old self with its practices.
g) Colossians 3:10. Now we have put on the new self. We are being renewed in Knowledge according to our Creator.

Jesus knows all things about us. This should surely stimulate in us the desire to live the correct kind of life. Sometimes I hear people who are so proud of being “Christian” but their lifestyle is not ethical at all. They are damaging the Testimony of Jesus Christ. These people have forgotten (if they ever knew) that Jesus knows all things about them.

Chacan Does Not Last!

The Hebrew word ‘chacan’ means:-
a) Wealth.
b) Riches.
c) Strength.
d) Treasure.
These things and also crowns do not last forever.

Matthew 14:29-31.
a) Matthew 14:29. Jesus called Peter out of the boat to walk on the water.
b) Matthew 14:29. Jesus took the responsibility He called Peter to do it.
c) Matthew 14:29. Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water.
d) Matthew 14:30. Peter:-
1- Was sensitive to the strong wind.
2- Was frightened.
3- Began to sink.
4- Cried out to the Lord to save him.
e) Matthew 14:31. Instantly Jesus:-
1- Reached out His Hand.
2- Caught Peter.
3- Held Peter.
f) Matthew 14:31. Jesus told Peter of his little Faith. Why did Peter doubt?

Jesus took immediate action to help Peter. Peter was taking a big step of Faith in doing something that he had never done before but his Faith was not all that it should be. He stepped out on the water to walk to Jesus. Peter was doing exactly what Jesus called him to do. When Peter was frightened because of the environmental things Jesus helped him immediately. Jesus also pointed out Peter’s failure – his lack of Faith.

Trained By Chastening!

Hebrews 12:11.
a) No chastening seems to be joyful for the present.
b) It is often painful to be chastened.
c) But afterwards it yields the peaceable fruit of Righteousness.
d) For those people who have been trained by it.
(Through this QT I realise that I need to be Trained By Chastening at times and I thank God for His chastening)

No Chastening seems to be joyful for the present time. Who enjoys going through a time of chastening from the Lord? Yet, if we are willing to submit to His Chastening it can produce a very positive effect on our lives. As a result of the Lord’s Chastening our lives may become more peaceful. As a result of the Lord’s Chastening our lives may become more fruitful. As a result of the Lord’s Chastening our lives may become more righteous.

Our Lives Are Hidden With Christ!

a) Colossians 3:1. If we have been raised along with Christ.
b) Colossians 3:1. We should seek the things which are above.

e) Colossians 3:3. We have died.
f) Colossians 3:3. Our life is hidden with Christ in God.

Above is where Christ is, sitting at the Right Hand of God. Our Eternal future, as True Believers, is above. We should not forget this fact. Yes, we have a life to be lived out for the Glory of God on the Earth but it is temporary. Our Eternal Life is hidden with Christ in God.

We should be diligent to do our work and also diligent to serve the Lord. God wants the fruit of diligence to be manifested in our lives. Our working environment may not be easy for us but, as we are confident about working in the Will of God we have Peace and Assurance that God is with us to help us. a) We are Children of God through Faith in Christ Jesus.

We are encouraged to Pray for anything in the Will of God. This should make us very humble and amazed at the Goodness of God. This Scripture does not give us license to command God what to do in our prayers. Commanding God what to do is an abomination to Him. Prayer is not a science, it is simply something that flows out from our relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ.

Live In Freedom!

Colossians 2:20-23.
a) Colossians 2:20. We have died with Christ.
b) Colossians 2:20. We are set free from the spiritual powers of this World system.
c) Colossians 2:20-21. Why do we keep on following the rules of the World system:-
1- Do not handle.
2- Do not taste.
3- Do not touch.
d) Colossians 2:22. Such rules are mere human teachings about things that deteriorate as we use them.
e) Colossians 2:23. These rules may seem wise because they require:-
1- Strong devotion.
2- Pious self denial.
3- Severe bodily discipline.
f) Colossians 2:23. These rules provide no help in conquering a person’s evil desires.

a) Matthew 6:30. If God clothes the grass of the field which today is and tomorrow is cast into the oven.

1- What shall we eat?
2- What shall we drink?
3- With what shall we be clothed?
d) Matthew 6:32. The Gentiles seek after all these things.
e) Matthew 6:32. Our Heavenly Father knows that we have need of all these things.
f) Matthew 6:33. We are to seek first God’s Kingdom and His Righteousness.
g) Matthew 6:33. All these things then shall be added to us.

What shall we drink? Social drinking has become extremely popular in the more affluent Nations of the World. It has become a way of life and a habit. People go to the coffee shop or to the pub far more than they did ten or twenty years ago. Rather than criticising or being unpleasant towards people and their social drinking we should encourage the correct motives for social drinking, these are fellowship, ministry in an informal setting and even meeting friends endeavouring to share the Truth of the Gospel with them. (By the word “pub” I do not mean “bar”, I mean a place where it is acceptable to eat and drink with a family)

It Is Difficult To Handle Foolish People!

Proverbs 27:22.
a) Even if you grind a foolish person in mortar.
b) Even if you grind a foolish person like grain in a pestle.
c) You will not remove the foolish person’s folly from them.

No one finds it easy to be in the presence of a foolish person. Living, working or studying with a foolish person can make us very exhausted. Especially if the foolish person is a “Christian” it can make them very unteachable. If we have to be around foolish people we need to make our own boundaries very clear. God loves foolish people but He does not accept their foolishness.

The Word Of God Is Alive!

Hebrews 4:12.
a) The Word of God is:-
1- Alive.
2- Active.
3- At work.
4- Sharper than any double edged sword.
b) It cuts right through to where soul meets spirit.
c) It cuts right through to where joints meet marrow.
d) It is quick to judge the inner reflections and attitudes of the heart.
(This QT convinces me that The Word Of God Is Alive)

(This Second one gives me clear understanding of the impossibility for The Natural Person to discern the things of the Spirit of God)

The Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword. It is called by the name of the Sword of the Spirit in the Book of Ephesians. When the Holy Spirit takes the Word of God and speaks to us our lives may be totally changed and transformed. There is a response of Faith that rises in us when God’s Word speaks to us like this and an ensuing change in us. A change of mind, heart, concept or motive comes. In all it is positive and good for us.

Do Not Let Anyone Condemn Us!

Colossians 2:16-19.
a) Colossians 2:16. Do not let anyone condemn us for:-
1- What we eat.
2- What we drink.
3- Celebration of Holy days and Sabbaths.
b) Colossians 2:17. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. Christ himself is that reality.
c) Colossians 2:18. Do not let anyone condemn us by insisting on pious self-denial.
d) Colossians 2:18. Do not let anyone condemn us about the worship of Angels.
e) Colossians 2:18. They talk about their visions, but their sinful minds have made them proud.
f) Colossians 2:19. These people are not connected to Christ.
g) Colossians 2:19. Christ is the Head of His Body the Church.
h) Colossians 2:19. Christ holds the whole Body together with its joints and ligaments.
i) Colossians 2:19. The Body grows as God nourishes it.

a) James 1:22. Do not just listen to God’s Word.

1- See ourselves.

If and when we have ourselves in wrong perspective it is very easy to deceive ourselves. Self deception has nothing to do with Satan or some outside influence, it comes from our self – especially our pride. The Bible tells us to walk humbly with God and we really need to do that in these days.

a) Proverbs 17:3. The crucible is for silver.
b) Proverbs 17:3. The furnace is for gold.
c) Proverbs 17:3. The Lord is the Tester of hearts.
d) Each person is tested by the praise given to them.
e) Luke 6:26. We should not take it to our hearts at all when people speak well of us.
(Through this QT I am sure that The Lord Tests My Heart)

e) Hebrews 11:7. Noah was warned about things that were not yet seen.
f) Hebrews 11:27. Moses persevered as one who sees God even though God is invisible.

The Lord is the Tester of hearts. There are many ways in which the Lord may test our hearts. The choice is not ours, it is His. He knows just how to test us the best way for our benefit and His Glory. Here the writer mentions about the test that comes when we receive praise from other people. At such times our immediate response should be giving the Glory to God and thanking God, not taking any praise for ourselves.

Our Infirmities!

‘Our Infirmities.’
a) Romans 8:26. The Holy Spirit helps us in them and empowers us to Pray.
b) Matthew 8:17. Jesus Christ took them to the Cross.
c) Luke 5:15; 7:21; 8:2. Jesus healed people of their infirmities.
d) Romans 15:1. We that are strong should bear the infirmities of the weak.

One of the Mercies from God is that He wants to encourage us in our times of infirmity. All of us face times of infirmity of various sorts. This does not mean that God does not love us or care about us, of course He cares about us. Maybe He will give us a miracle cure for our infirmity, maybe not. Maybe He Himself will comfort us through our time of infirmity or even send other people to minister to us. Finally, the Holy Spirit will help us in our time of infirmity. We are not alone!

a) Christ wiped out all that was against us because of the written Law and its rules.

Acts 13:1-4.
a) Acts 13:1. In the Church in Antioch were Prophets and Teachers. They were part of the function of the Church, they were not “heads” of the Church.
b) Acts 13:1. These Prophets and Teachers were:-
1- Barnabas.
2- Simeon.
3- Lucius.
4- Manaen.
5- Paul. (Saul)
c) Acts 13:2. These Prophets and Teachers were Worshipping and Fasting.
d) Acts 13:2. As they were doing this the Holy Spirit spoke to them to set apart Barnabas and Paul because He had a special work for them to do.
e) Acts 13:3. The Prophets and Teachers continued to fast and pray.
f) Acts 13:3. They then laid their hand on Barnabas and Paul.
g) Acts 13:3. Then they sent them off into the special work that the Holy Spirit had for them to do.
h) Acts 13:4. Barnabas and Saul were sent on their way by the Holy Spirit. The entire process was led by the Holy Spirit.
i) Acts 13:4. They went to Seleucia and then on to Cyprus.

The Church sent Barnabas and Paul off into the special work that the Holy Spirit had for them to do. The Church as a Body was convinced of the Will of God because of the spirituality of the Prophets and Teachers amongst them. They Worshipped, they Fasted and they Prayed, they were humbly setting the standard for the Church and they were simply doing what Jesus told His first generation Disciples to do. Because of this simple obedience the Church was a Mission Minded Church.

God has given us eyes and He wants us to be good stewards of them. If our heart is pure then our eyes will be pure also. God does not want us to have angry eyes or lustful eyes. God wants us to have pure eyes. Jesus’ eyes were an important part of His Body as He ministered on this Earth. We can read many times in the Gospel about His eyes and His looking and learn from them.

a) Luke 12:32. We should not live in fear because His perfect Love takes away our fear.

Our Heavenly Father has resolved to give us the Kingdom and the Kingdom He gives us is a Kingdom of Righteousness. Everything about Him is totally Righteous. Prison ministry can be one of the most effective parts of Church outreach. This kind of Ministry needs someone with experience to lead it otherwise it is difficult to have any real impact. Once Prison ministry becomes an established part of a Church’s outreach it can achieve a great harvest of people for God’s Kingdom. There are established prison ministries that reach across the Body of Christ, if we are really interested in these as a Church, maybe we should contact them.

Sometimes we have to be amongst crowds of people, especially when we go into the city or large town. I am not writing here about the large Church congregations but about the crowds, the masses of people on the streets. We must be careful not to do two things. Firstly, we must be careful not to treat the large Church congregations as if they are the crowds and try to minister to them as if they are the crowds. If we do that, our Church will only be a large Church for one generation. Secondly, we should not ignore the crowds, whoever they are and whatever background they come from. Whatever their religion or financial status, we should not ignore them because Jesus has compassion on them.

The Churches and gatherings of True Believers need to be strengthened. What makes Churches and True Believers weak is the kind of regular treatment and ministry that they receive. The Bible clearly gives the pattern in the Book of Acts: Bible Study, Fellowship, Breaking of Bread and Prayers. Today it is common in the Body of Christ for ministers to take their own words and make up a “sermon” and preach it as if it was God’s Word, this is a recipe for spiritual disaster for now and the next generations. True Believers need to be strengthened.

To preserve the people we serve is an admirable response towards them as long as the attitude and action of preserving is legal and not sinful. When an employer asks an employee to do something illegal that is a very big burden for the employee, especially if the employee is a True Believer. Personally, I think it may be time to change the working environment if the employer asks the employee to work illegally, tell lies, or for sexual favours.

The Holy Spirit is a Spirit of Inspiration. I thank God for the way that He inspired the writers of our Holy Bible. I thank God for the way in which He inspires anointed Ministers of the Church. I thank God for the Holy Spirit anointed writers of Christian songs and music. One of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit is the Gift of Discernings of Spirits, this gift discerns when inspiration is not from the Holy Spirit. It is much needed in the Churches today. If we do not know them test them!

The wrong kind of wisdom lies against the Truth. Because Truth makes us free then the wrong kind of wisdom puts us into bondage. I sometimes find in my travels people who are bound in the wrong kind of wisdom. These people often strongly believe what they believe and have no place for any other ideas or opinions.

The Leaders – Jewish Leaders – gave Jesus much trouble. We always need to pray for political and religious Leaders, the Bible exhorts us to do that in the New Testament. I was so Blessed in Indonesia when at nearly every Church and Fellowship meeting I went to when opened in Prayer the person praying always prayed for the Government. Our greatest influence as True Believers is the influence of Prayer.

Acts 20:28-31.
a) Acts 20:28. He spoke to the Leaders of the Church:-
1- Be on guard for yourselves first.
2- Then be on guard for the flock.
3- It is the Holy Spirit that has made you overseers of God’s People.
4- They were to Shepherd the Church of God which He purchased with His Own Blood. (The Church belongs to God and not to the Leaders)
b) Acts 20:29. Apostle Paul knew that after his departure savage wolves would come into the Church, not sparing the flock.
c) Acts 20:30. Apostle Paul mentioned three things that would happen in the Church:-
1- From within the Church bad men would arise.
2- These men would speak perverse things. (Wrong doctrines)
3- These men will draw away disciples after them.
d) Acts 20:31. Apostle Paul reminded the Church Leaders to be alert.
e) Acts 20:31. For three years Apostle Paul was warning and weeping for the Church. (He knew what was going to happen)

We live in days when people generally store food, they buy it and freeze it. Most foods have expiry dates and it can be dangerous to eat foods past their expiry dates. In the Bible days there were no freezers or refrigerators and food was bought daily except on the Sabbath. People were generally healthier in the Bible days because they ate fresh food. Even today amongst the poor we can see the same pattern, daily fresh food and daily health.

3- Blameless.

3- Imploring to walk worthy of God.

Church Leaders of course are to serve and care for the people in the Church. They need to do this in such a way as not to seek the peoples’ praises for themselves. It is easy to be tempted in both seeking the praises of people by being “people pleasers” and also it is easy in many Christian cultures for the Believers to fall into the trap of “worshipping” their leaders.

a) Apostle Paul had this struggle and inner agony for:-
1- The Colossian Church.
2- The Laodicea Church.
3- All Believers who had not met him personally.
b) His goal was that they might be encouraged in heart.
c) His goal was that they might be united in Love.
d) His goal was that they might have the full riches of understanding.
e) His goal was that they might have the knowledge of God’s Mystery – Christ.

‘A Word From Believing Fathers To Sons.’
1 Chronicles 28:9.
a) The son should acknowledge the God of his father.
b) The son should serve the God of his father with wholehearted devotion.
c) The son should serve the God of his father with a willing mind.
d) The Lord:-
1- Searches every heart.
2- Understands every desire.
3- Understands every thought.
e) If the son seeks the Lord He will be found by Him.
f) If the son rejects the Lord He will reject him forever.
(This Second one is a Word and should be A Word From Believing Fathers To Sons)

The Area Church figured much in the heart and writings of Apostle Paul. Paul was concerned for all the True Believers in the Provinces or Cities to which he wrote or communicated. Every True Believer needs a Local Church Spiritual home but the Local Churches should be able to be in fellowship with one another in such a way as to constitute the Area Church.

Be Prudent And Sensible!

‘Be Prudent And Sensible.’
Proverbs 27:12.
a) The prudent and sensible person sees trouble coming.
b) The prudent and sensible person hides when trouble is around.
c) The thoughtless and simple person.
d) Just goes thoughtlessly on and pays the price for their thoughtlessness.
(This QT urges me to Be Prudent And Sensible)

‘The Awesome Responsibility Of Pastoral Care.’
Hebrews 13:17.
a) We should obey and have confidence in our Church Leaders. (It means that they have earned our confidence and trust)
b) We should be able to submit to our Church Leaders. (It means that they follow the Good Shepherd Jesus)
c) Our Church Leaders keep watch for our souls. (Not for our money or ministry)
d) Our Church Leaders must give account for our souls with Joy and not with grief. (Their grief is unprofitable for us)
e) Acts 20:28. Our Church Leaders need to remember that the Church is the Lord’s and not theirs.
(Through this Second one I can see some of The Awesome Responsibility Of Pastoral Care)

Be prudent and sensible. There are many steps that we take in our lives day by day. Some of these steps are simple steps of Obedience other steps are steps of Faith. Whatever steps we take we need to consider before we take them. Our thoughtless steps can injure ourselves and cause harm to other people. We should be prudent and sensible.

Entrusted With The Good News!

‘Entrusted With The Good News.’
1 Thessalonians 2:2-5.
a) 1 Thessalonians 2:2. Apostle Paul and his team had gone through much suffering in Philippi.
b) 1 Thessalonians 2:2. Even they were still under much pressure they had the courage, and were bold in God, to speak the Good News to the Thessalonians.
c) 1 Thessalonians 2:3. The Word of God that Apostle Paul gave was not:-
1- Erroneous.
2- Impure.
3- Trickery.
d) 1 Thessalonians 2:4. God had tested Apostle Paul and his team and found them fit to be entrusted with the Good News.
e) 1 Thessalonians 2:4. They spoke to please God Who tested their hearts.
f) 1 Thessalonians 2:5. Apostle Paul and his team did not flatter.
g) 1 Thessalonians 2:5. Apostle Paul and his team were not trying to get money from people.
(This QT makes me think about the privilege of being Entrusted With The Good News and the responsibility of that trust)

2 Timothy 4:1.
a) These are solemn words to remember.
b) We need to consider God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
c) The Lord Jesus Christ will Judge the living people and the dead people when He appears.
d) The Lord Jesus Christ will establish God’s Kingdom.
(This Second one reminds me that I Will Be Judged)

Servants of the Lord, whatever their ministry, do face times of much pressure. If they did not face these times they would probably not grow much. When facing pressure, Grace is needed and Courage is needed. Pressure does not mean that it is time to quit or to take a holiday. Times of pressure should draw us closer to God endeavouring to discover what He is saying to us or what He wants from us.

Some Of The Parts God Has Appointed!

1 Corinthians 12:28:29.
a) Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the Church.
b) Notice these are for the Church, that no man or woman may boast.
c) Apostles.
d) Prophets.
e) Teachers.
f) Those people who do miracles.
g) Those people who have the gift of healing.
h) Those people who can help other people.
i) Those people who have the gift of leadership.
j) Those people who speak in unknown languages.
k) Are we all?
(Through this QT I can see Some Of The Parts That God Has Appointed for the Church)

a) Acts 12:9; 2:17; Joel 2:28. May be a family generational Blessing.
b) Exodus 15:20. May be musical and joyful.
c) Judges 4:4. May be exercised by National Leaders.
d) Nehemiah 6:14. Does not intimidate anyone.
e) 1 Corinthians 11:4-5. Should be exercised in a culturally acceptable way.
f) 1 Corinthians 14:3. Is limited in its function to:-
1- Edification.
2- Exhortation.
3- Comfort.
(This Second gives me the desire to hear Pure Prophecy in the Churches)

The Ministry of the Apostle is not a man made Ministry. Just like every other Ministry in the Church, the Ministry of the Apostle is the Gift from and of God. The Ministry of the Apostle has a profound and stabilising effect on the Churches in times of difficulty and national crisis. The Apostle never creates their own ministry and then calls it “apostolic” the Apostle is recognised by the Whole Body of Christ.

Apostle Paul’s Selfless Motivation!

‘Apostle Paul’s Selfless Motivation.’
Colossians 1:28-29.
a) Apostle Paul proclaimed Christ.
b) Apostle Paul warned everyone.
c) Apostle Paul taught everyone with all Wisdom.
d) Apostle Paul wanted to present everyone mature in Christ.
e) Apostle Paul toiled with this motivation.
f) Apostle Paul struggled with all the energy that the Lord gave him.
g) The Lord powerfully worked in Apostle Paul.
(Through this QT I learn much from Apostle Paul’s Selfless Motivation)

Apostle Paul toiled with the motivation of wanting to present everyone mature in Christ. This was and is a truly Apostolic and Pastoral heart. He was not interested in numbers he was interested in producing True Believers. If all Churches and Church leaders had this same motivation then the Church would be far more effective in society today.

Friends, Neighbours, Brothers And Fathers!

‘Friends, Neighbours, Brothers And Fathers.’
Proverbs 27:9-11.
a) Proverbs 27:9. The heartfelt and good counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.
b) Proverbs 27:10. Never abandon a real friend, either a personal one or a family one.
c) Proverbs 27:10. If we have friends where we are then, when disaster strikes we will not have to ask our brother for assistance.
d) Proverbs 27:10. It is better to go to a neighbour than a brother who lives far away.
e) Proverbs 27:11. Be wise and make our father’s heart glad.
f) Proverbs 27:11. Then our father will be able to answer all of his critics.
(This QT gives me practical sense to share with Friends, Neighbours, Brothers And Fathers)

‘Our New Life In Christ.’
a) Romans 6:2. We do not want to live in sin any more.
b) 2 Corinthians 5:14-17. Begins because Christ’s Love controls us.
c) 1 Peter 1:14. Is lived out as an obedient Child of God.
d) 1 Peter 4:2. Is wanting to do God’s Will.
(This Second one reminds me of some of the principles of My New Life In Christ)

Having friends where we are should be a part of our normal Christian Life. This kind of friendship can first of all mean our brothers and sisters in the Lord with whom we share Fellowship as True Believers. Secondly, through our work, study or neighbourhood life we may have friends and neighbours who do not know the Lord at all. We have the privilege of thoughtfully living as True Believers before them and being a friend to them too.

To Be Fruitful!

‘To Be Fruitful.’
John 12:24.
a) These are the clear and assured Words of Jesus Christ.
b) The grain of wheat needs to fall into the ground and die.
c) If it does not do this then the grain remains alone.
d) If it dies.
e) It produces a large crop.
f) Jesus died for us and rose again.
g) We need to die to ourselves if we are to be fruitful True Believers.
(Through this QT I have a desire To Be Fruitful)

To produce a large crop! This is the goal of many Churches today. Church growth is a popular phrase and many churches have “special events” to try to make a large crop. Often these things are not too successful, the Lord sees to that because it is not His Way. To produce a large crop the Church needs to die to itself. That means the people in the Church, the Leaders and everybody. In New Life and fruitfulness we can see God’s Will and Way being produced in the Church.

Blessed Assurance For All People Who Believe!

‘Blessed Assurance For All People Who Believe.’
Colossians 1:27.
a) The Church need to know this.
b) The Riches and Glory of Christ are for all Gentiles.
c) Everyone who Believes.
d) This is the secret.
e) Christ lives in all people who Believe.
f) This fact gives us assurance of sharing His Glory.
(Through this QT I am totally convinced that there is Blessed Assurance For Ail People Who Believe)

Galatians 2:20.
a) When Christ was executed on the Cross as a criminal.
b) We were too.
c) Our proud ego no longer lives.
d) Christ lives in us.
e) The life that we now live in our bodies we live by the same Trusting Faithfulness that the Son of God had.
f) Christ the Son of God Loved us and gave Himself up for us.
(Through this Second one I thank God for A New Life – A Life In Christ)

Christ lives in all people who Believe. Sometimes I am offended by certain forms of “evangelism” that attempt to force people into the style of Christianity that the one evangelising has. The evangelist is not satisfied until the person they are “evangelising” has believed exactly what the evangelist wants them to Believe and do what the evangelist wants them to do. Sadly, this makes the publicised Christianity little more than a system. We need to go back to the Bible and consider the Ministry of Jesus Christ and also the Apostles who continued the Ministry of Jesus Christ in the New Testament Church. Christ lives in All people who Believe, their religious background, or lack of it, is not so important, God’s Love and Grace is greater and is capable of changing lives completely.
