PRAYER: For us to have the Biblical confidence that we are Right With God.

'A New Testament Pattern For The Church.'
Acts 2:38.
a) Then Peter said to them
b) 'Repent,
c) 'Let every one of you be Baptized
d) 'In the Name of Jesus Christ
e) 'And your sins will be forgiven
f) 'And you shall receive
g) 'The Gift of the Holy Spirit.'
(Through this Second one I find A New Testament Pattern For The Church today)
PRAYER: For our Churches to follow the New Testament Pattern as we listen to and study the Bible together.

Sin always has a destructive power. I am of the opinion that the Church needs to warn its attendees regularly about this. It would be a good practice before taking the Holy Communion. Whatever 'style' of Holy Communion Worship that our Church may have, this Message is important. An opportunity for genuine repentance needs to be given.
It seems that this Message could bring New Spiritual Life and Freedom to our Churches. One of the worst forms of pride is 'Church pride', where we become so proud of our 'successful' Church that we forget these foundational and fundamental truths.
Whoever we are, it is true that, as those who Worship God in the Church, we can only claim to be 'sinners saved by Grace'! If we keep this humble attitude in our hearts, I am sure that the authentic 'Be still and know that I am God' can become a reality in our lives and in the assembled gathering of the Believers in our Church.
