'Christ's Love For His Church.'
Ephesians 5:25-27.
a) Ephesians 5:25. Husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the Church.
b) Ephesians 5:25. Christ gave Himself up for the Church.
c) Ephesians 5:26. Christ makes the Church Holy by cleansing it with the washing of water by the Word.
d) Ephesians 5:27. So that He might present the Church to Himself:
1-In Splendor.
2-Without a spot.
3-Without a wrinkle.
4-Without anything of the kind.
5-So that the Church might be Holy and without blemish.

'The Amazing Love Of God.'
1 Peter 3:18.
a) Christ died as a Sacrifice for sins.
b) Once for all time and people.
c) The Righteous One for the sake of the unrighteous people.
d) That He might bring us to God.
e) Having been put to death in the flesh.
f) He was made alive in the Spirit.

Christ gave Himself up for the Church. This is another example of God's Amazing Grace. There is here, not only the single act of God that brings us Salvation, but also there is a continual washing for those who partake of this free Gift of God. As True Believers, we need to expose ourselves to the Word of God and its Author both in Church and personally.
