The Lord And Our Bodies!


‘The Lord And Our Bodies.’
1 Corinthians 6:13-14.
a) One day God will do away with food and God will do away with our stomach.
b) Our bodies are not made for sexual immorality but they are made for the Lord.
c) The Lord cares for and about our bodies.
d) God will raise our bodies from the dead by his marvelous Power, just as He raised our Lord from the dead.
(This QT reminds me about The Lord And My Body)

‘Our Body And Christ’s Body.’
a) 1 Corinthians 6:15. Our bodies are parts of Christ and belong to Christ.
b) Matthew 5:29-30. Our bodies should not cause us to sin.
c) Romans 6:13. We should use our whole body as a tool to do what is right for the Glory of God.
d) Romans 7:5. We should reject evil desires that produce sinful deeds in our bodies.
e) Romans 12:4-5; 1 Corinthians 12:12. Just as our bodies have many parts with various functions so it is in the Body of Christ also.
f) 1 Corinthians 12:18 & 20. God made our bodies with many different parts and He puts each part exactly where He wants it.
g) 1 Corinthians 12:27. Now all of you together are Christ's Body, and each one of you is a separate and necessary part of it.
h) Ephesians 5:30. We are Christ’s Body.
(Through this Second one I more understand My Body And Christ’s Body)

“The Lord” is not simply a meaningless title that we happen to use because we are Christians and go to Church. The Lord is really Lord of all and we need to own Him as Lord of our lives. Our lives should be in subjection to Him as our Lord personally. Some one once said that if He is not Lord of all in our lives then He is not Lord at all in our lives.
