The Valley Of Tophet!

‘The Valley Of Tophet.’
Isaiah 30:33.
a)     It was a camping place for the Assyrian army just outside of Jerusalem.
b)    It was to be the place of defeat for Molech, the Assyrian god.
c)     It was a place ordained from of old.
d)    It was piled high with wood.
e)     The Breath of the Lord.
f)     Like fire from a volcano.
g)    Will set it on fire.
(This QT teaches me about The Valley Of Tophet)
--------------------
‘For The True Believer.’
Colossians 2:21.
a)     For the True Believer.
b)    As a law.
c)     This has finished.
d)    All now is a matter of Grace – personal conscience and like or dislike.
e)     Certain foods:-
1-   Do not touch.
2-   Do not taste.
3-   Do not eat.
(Through this Second one I thank God that there is something new For The True Believer)
--------------------
Chris.

The Breath of the Lord can set things on fire. We should never forget this fact. Our God is unchanging. Sometimes when there are hill fires or bush fires we look for someone to blame and yet can find no one. They are not, I am convinced, all set on fire by people. Sometimes God is speaking. We see clearly there are times in the Scripture when God speaks by and with fire.

Blessed Are The Merciful!

‘Blessed Are The Merciful.’
Matthew 5:7.
a)       Blessed are the Merciful People.
b)       They shall obtain Mercy.
c)       They shall be shown Mercy.
(Through this QT I proclaim: Blessed Are The Merciful)
-------------------
‘We Should Not Submit To The Wrong Things.’
Colossians 2:20.
a)       If we have died with Christ.
b)       From the elemental spirits of the World.
c)       Why do we submit to them?
d)       As if we are living in the World system.
(This Second one reminds me that I Should Not Submit To The Wrong Things)
-------------------
Chris.

It is very clear right through the entire Scriptures that we should not submit to the wrong things. If we submit to them then begin to master us. The book of Romans tells us this very clearly. As True Believers we should submit to the Lord first. His Truth will lead us in how we are to live.

By Well Doing!

‘By Well Doing.’
1 Peter 2:15-16.
a)       This is the Will of God.
b)       That with well doing we put to silence the ignorance of foolish people.
c)       That we live in Freedom.
d)       We do not use our Freedom for a cloak of maliciousness.
e)       We live as the Servants of God.
(This QT shows me the Power of a good life: By Well Doing)
------------------
‘In Order To Grow We Need To Hold On To Christ.’
Colossians 2:19.
a)       We need to hold on to the Head Who is Christ.
b)       We need to be ministered to with nourishment by Christ.
c)       We need to be knit together in Christ.
d)       Then we can increase with the increase of God.
(Through this Second one I know that In Order To Grow I Need To Hold On To Christ)
------------------
Chris.

We, if we are True Believers, should deliberately attempt to live as the Servants of God. This does not necessarily mean that we are Church or Ministry Leaders, just simply True Believers. We should be alert to serve God in any way in which He may be leading us to serve.

a)       We are to let nobody beguile us.
b)       Under a pretext of humility.
c)       Over worship of Angels.
d)       They intrude over things which they have not seen.
e)       They are vainly puffed up in their fleshly minds.
(This Second one reminds me: Let No Man Beguile Me)
------------------
Chris.

When the Windows of Heaven are open, then the Blessings of the Lord flow down. Many of our Churches need those Windows of Heaven to open and surely then the Churches will be Blessed. The Windows of Heaven also speak to us of abundance of rain. There are many lands where there is drought. Let us Pray for the Windows of Heaven to open for them.

God Works In We Work Out!

‘God Works In We Work Out.’
Philippians 2:12-13.
a)     We are a part of the dearly beloved in Fellowship with other True Believers.
b)    We need to be those people who obey the Lord, whether or not our spiritual leaders are present.
c)     We need to work out (or out work) our own Salvation with fear and trembling.
d)    It is God Who is working in us.
e)     His Good Purpose to:-
1-   Will.
2-   Desire.
3-   Work out.
(Through this QT I see that God Works In I Work Out)
----------------
‘Lord Of The Sabbath Day.’
Matthew 12:8.
a)     For the Son of Man.
b)    Is Lord.
c)     Of the Sabbath Day.
(Through this Second one I am reminded of the Lord Of The Sabbath Day)
----------------
Chris.
It is God Who is working in us. Sometimes I cannot understand why or what He is doing but I have the confidence to agree with this statement that it is God Who is working in me. I trust God for the outworking of His Will in both my short term and long term life. I need to out work my own Salvation with fear and trembling.

We Need To Submit Ourselves!

‘We Need To Submit Ourselves.’
1 Peter 2:13-14.
a)     Notice this is not involuntary – it is not forced submission.
b)    We need to submit to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s Sake.
c)     Whether it is to the King or to the Governors.
d)    The Governors are not perfect people but they have been appointed by the King to punish evildoers and to praise those people who do good.
(This QT reminds me that I Need To Submit Myself)
---------------
‘This Is What God Wants.’
Matthew 12:7.
a)     We need to know what this means.
b)    Matthew 9:13; Hosea 6:6. God wants Mercy and Kindness.
c)     God does not want animal sacrifices.
d)    If we really know what this means we will not condemn people who are not guilty.
(Through this Second one I know that This Is What God Wants)
---------------
Chris.
There are two classifications of persons here. Firstly, there are evildoers. This refers not to inner things only but it refers to what these people do – they are evil doers and Peter here writes about their punishment. Secondly, there are people who do good and they should be praised for what they do, even rewarded in some way for it.

The Voice Of The Lord!

‘The Voice Of The Lord.’
a)     Isaiah 30:31. Through the Voice of the Lord the Assyrians were beaten down.
b)    Isaiah 66:6. The Voice of the Lord renders recompense to His enemies.
c)     Jeremiah 3:25; 7:28; 26:13. Is to be obeyed.
d)    Acts 7:31. Came to Moses.
(This QT has me in awe of The Voice Of The Lord)
-----------------
‘Remember The Greatness Of Jesus.’
Matthew 12:6.
a)     These are the Words of Jesus Himself.
b)    Jesus is the One.
c)    Who is greater than the temple.
(Through this Second one I simply Remember The Greatness Of Jesus)
-----------------
Chris.
I like to remember the Greatness of Jesus. We find His Greatness revealed frequently in God’s Word. The Miracles of Jesus, the deep Compassion of Jesus and the Awesome Teaching of Jesus are all manifestations of His Greatness. Truly the songs are spot on: “How Great Is Our God.” & “How Great Thou Art.”

Plus And Plus!

‘Plus And Plus.’
2 Peter 1:5-7.
a)       2 Peter 1:5. “Beside this” Peter writes of the tremendous Blessings mentioned at the beginning of the Chapter.
b)       2 Peter 1:5. There are certain things that we are to give all diligence and effort about.
c)       2 Peter 1:5-7. These things are:-
1-      To our Faith add Virtue. (Moral excellence)
2-      To our virtue add knowledge.
3-      To our knowledge add temperance.
4-      To our temperance add patience. (Perseverance)
5-      To our patience add Godliness.
6-      To our Godliness add brotherly kindness.
7-      To our brotherly kindness add love.
(This QT teaches me plus and plus)
----------------
‘This Makes Me Consider.’
Matthew 12:5.
a)       This is written in the Scripture for our consideration.
b)       Numbers 28:9. On the Sabbath Day the Priests in the Temple profaned the Day.
c)       Yet these Priests were blameless.
(This Second one Makes Me Consider the Abundance of God’s Grace)
----------------
Chris.
To our Moral Excellence we should add Knowledge. It is very clear that if we place Knowledge before Moral Excellence in our lives that we will not be living the kind of life that the Lord wants us to live. The purest Knowledge will flow from the person who is Morally Excellent.

Our Honourable Conduct Required!

‘Our Honourable Conduct Required.’
1 Peter 2:12.
a)       2 Corinthians 8:21. We are to keep our conduct amongst non-Believers honourable.
b)       They may speak against us True Believers as evil-doers.
c)       They will however see our good deeds.
d)       Then they will Glorify God on the Day of visitation.
(This QT reminds me of God’s Desire: My Honourable Conduct Required)
---------------
‘Please Read The Bible.’
Matthew 12:3.
a)       This was expected by Jesus both of His Disciples and of the hypocritical Jewish Priests.
b)       Jesus referred to what David did when he was hungry. (It was written in the Bible)
c)       This situation also included those people who were with David.
(In this Second one Jesus Said It and I agree with Him: Please Read The Bible)
---------------
Chris.
God desires that my conduct be honourable. First of all it means in front of  my own family. Second it means in front of Church Brothers and Sisters. Thirdly, it means amongst others that I may meet, work with or study together with. Fourthly and finally, it means in front of people who may serve me in the restaurant, café or shop.

" When God Restores His People."

'When God Restores His People.' Psalm 102:13-17. a) 102:13. It is a time when God arises to manifest His Compassion and Grace. ...
