d) Revelation 14:1. It is the Place where the Lamb and
His Followers Stand.

2 Samuel 5:1-5.
a) v1. The people coming to David.
i) Matthew 2:2. Coming to Worship Christ.
ii) Matthew 11:28-30. Coming to Christ to find rest for
our souls.
iii) Matthew 14:29. Coming to Christ in simple faith and
trust.
iv) Matthew 19:21. Coming to Christ and following Him.
v) Matthew 25:34. Coming to Christ and inheriting God's
Kingdom.
b) v1. The full identification with David.
i) Ephesians 5:30. We are members of Christ's:
A-Body.
B-Flesh.
C-Bones.
ii) Hebrews 2:14. In this identification with Christ we
have a great victory.
iii) Romans 12:5. We are one body in Christ.
iv) 1 Corinthians 6:15. Our bodies are members of Christ.
v) 1 Corinthians 12:27. We are the Body of Christ and
Members in particular.
c) v2. David as a Leader.
i) Mark 10:32. Christ the Leader into New Life.
ii) Luke 24:50-51. Christ the Leader into Blessing.
iii) John 10:15. Christ the Leader and Shepherd of God's
Flock.
iv) Revelation 7:17. Christ our Leader to fountains of
Living Water.
v) John 10:14. Christ our Leader and Shepherd Who Knows
His Sheep.
d) v2, David as a feeder of his people.
i) Acts 14:17. Christ Fills our hearts with food and
gladness.
ii) 2 Corinthians 9:10. Christ Ministers bread for our
food.
iii) Matthew 6:11. Christ Gives us food in Answer to our
prayer.
iv) Matthew 14:19. Christ Blessed the bread and fish and
Gave them to the multitude.
v) Matthew 26;26. Christ Blessed the bread for His
Disciples before Holy Communion.
e) v3. David as the maker of a covenant with his people.
i) Matthew 26:28. Christ Shed His Blood to make a new
Covenant.
ii) 1 Corinthians 11:25. We drink the wine as a symbol of
the new Covenant made by Christ's Blood.
iii) 2 Corinthians 3:6. Christ makes us able Ministers of
the new Covenant.
iv) Hebrews 7:22. Jesus Christ is the Surety of a better
Covenant.
v) Hebrews 8:6. Jesus Christ is the Mediator of a better
Covenant.
f) v3. David was the anointed king.
i) Psalm 45:7. Because He Loves righteousness and Hates
wickedness Christ was Anointed.
ii) Isaiah 61:1. Christ was Anointed to Preach Good News
to the poor.
iii) Acts 4:27. Christ was Anointed as the Son of God.
iv) Acts 10:38. God Anointed Jesus Christ to do Good and
to Heal the Oppressed of the Devil.
v) John 1:32-33. The Holy Spirit, in the form of a Dove,
Anointed Christ.
g) vv4-5. The reign of David.
i) Luke 1:33. Christ Reigns forever.
ii) Romans 5:17. Because Christ Reigns - He enables us to
Reign.
iii) Romans 15:12. Christ Reigns over the Nations.
iv) 1 Corinthians 15:25. Christ Reigns until all enemies
are put under His Feet.
v) 2 Timothy 2:12. We can reign with Christ.
(This Meditation teaches me much about David - Like
Christ)
