All From The Father!

 'All From The Father.'

John 17:7.

a)  Now they have known

b)  That all things which You have given Me

c)  Are from You.

(This QT reminds me that they are All From The Father)

PRAY: To be sensitive to the things that our Heavenly Father wants to give us.

--------------------

'Divine Restraint.'

Matthew 26:53.

a)  Or do you think

b)  That I cannot now pray to My Father,

c)  And He will provide Me

d)  With more then twelve legions of Angels?

(This Second one shows me Divine Restraint)

PRAY: Thanking God for Divine Restraint.

--------------------

Chris.

The Gospel of Matthew clearly describes many situations around the time of Jesus Christ's physical life on this Earth. It also records many of the Words of Christ. In the Second part of this QT Jesus is encouraging His Disciples and others to think. If we are going to grow as True Believers we need to have a Biblical mindset - Biblical thinking.

All Round Holiness

'All Round Holiness.

Romans 11:16.

a)  And if the first fruit is Holy.

b)  So is the lump:

c)  And if the root is Holy,

d)  So are the branches.

(This QT describes All Round Holiness)

PRAY: To be Holy and to live a Holy life.

-------------------

'A Universal Failure.'

Romans 3:23.

a)  For all have sinned,

b)  And fall short

c)  Of the Glory of God.

(This Second one reveals A Universal Failure)

PRAY: To live in victory by the Grace of God.

-------------------

Chris.

We continue in the Book of Romans. This is a great place to begin New Testament Bible Studies from! God has arranged His Word for our benefit - we need to remember this fact! I would encourage every Believer to read and study the Bible - especially the New Testament, Book of Romans. God is good - and He reveals His Goodness in His Word. The picture reminds me of the "meat" of the Word of God.

True Zeal For God's House!

'True Zeal For God's House.'

John 2:17.

a)  His Disciples remembered that it was written:

b)  "Zeal for Thy House

c)  "Shall eat Me up."

(This QT reminds me of the effect of True Zeal For God's House)

PRAY: To have Zeal For God's House.

------------------

'The Mystery Of Godliness.'

1 Timothy 3:16.

a)  And without controversy

b)  Great is the mystery of godliness;

c)  He Who was manifested in the flesh,

d)  Justified in the Spirit,

e)  Seen of angels,

f)  Preached among the Nations,

g)  Believed on in the World,

h)  Received up in Glory.

(This Second one teaches me about The Mystery Of Godliness)

PRAY: To understand more about The Mystery Of Godliness.

------------------

Chris.

We need to understand that the Truth of God's Word is really without controversy. The True Believer need to read the Bible for what it is - The Word Of God. This Word of God is not meant for debate, it is meant to be received for what it is! Our attitude when reading God's Word needs to be one of humble receptivity.

The People That The Father Gave To The Son!

'The People That The Father Gave To The Son.'

John 17:6.

a)  I have manifested Your Name

b)  To the people You gave Me out of the World.

c)  Yours they were,

d)  And you gave them to Me,

e)  And they have kept Your Word.

(This QT teaches me about The People That The Father Gave To The Son)

PRAY: For The People That The Father Gave To The Son, that they will keep God's Word.

----------------

'The Incense Made The Prayers Acceptable.'

Revelation 8:3.

a)  And another angel came and stood at the altar,

b)  Having a golden censer;

c)  And there was given unto him much incense,

d)  That he should offer it with the prayers of all saints

e)  Upon the golden altar

f)  Which was before the Throne.

(This Second one helps me realise that The Incense Made The Prayers Acceptable)

PRAY:  To have much incense for our prayers.

----------------

Chris.

Notice that it is a golden altar that is before the Throne of God. When we give our lives to God and desire to Worship Him, that is something very Holy. It was the incense that made the prayers acceptable! We should never be glib or careless in the way in which we come to God! We should treasure the Presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives and truly be sensitive to and depend on Him. As in the picture, we should follow the path that He gives to us.

Concerning Israel!

 'Concerning Israel.'

Romans 11:15.

a)  If Israel's rejection means that the World has been brought back to God,

b)  What does Israel's acceptance mean?

c)  It means that Israel has come back to life.

(This QT is Concerning Israel)

PRAY: For the Salvation of Israeli people.

---------------

'Relevant Asking.'

a)  Joshua 4:6. Children ask in time to come.

b)  1 Samuel 25:40. Ask a person to become one's wife.

c)  2 Kings 2:9. Ask what I may do for you.

d)  Isaiah 45:11. Ask the Lord about things to come.

e)  Jeremiah 6:16. ...Ask for the old paths, where the good way is.

f)  Zechariah 10:1. Ask the Lord for rain.

g)  Matthew 7:7; John 14:14. Ask and it will be given to you.

h)  Matthew 7:11; Luke 11:13. Ask Heavenly Father for good things.

i)  Matthew 18:19. Ask in a Prayer of Agreement with another person to the Heavenly Father.

(Through this Second one I find Relevant Asking)

PRAY: With confidence.

---------------

Chris.

If we have genuine concerns about the weather we can pray about them to our Heavenly Father! This is something that is sometimes necessary, especially for farmers and for people who travel long distances frequently. We can hear many testimonies about God's Hand on the weather.

Stop Turning My Father's House Into A Marketplace!

'Stop  Turning My Father's House Into A Marketplace.'
John 2:16.
a)  Then,
b)  Going over to the people who sold doves,
c)  He told them:
d)  "Get these things out of here.
e)  "Stop turning My Father's House into a market place!"
(This QT reminds me that God does not like His Church to be like a Marketplace)
PRAY: To repent of and reject all marketeering inside the Church.
--------------
'Take It Up.'
a)  Matthew 9:6; Mark 2:9 & 11. Your bed, you are forgiven and healed.
b)  Matthew 16:24; Mark 8:34; 10:21. Your cross and follow Jesus.
c)  Matthew 17:27. The fish, and get the money.
d)  Luke 5:24. Your bed and go back to your house.
(Through this Second one I am encouraged to Take It Up)
PRAY: To follow Jesus well.
--------------
Chris.
The Christian Church should never be like a market place. If people have things to sell, their sales should take place totally outside of the Church environment. So many problems have taken place within the Church because of selling and buying things. We should clearly heed the Words of Jesus Christ and not turn His Church into a market place.

The Glory Of The Lord!

 'The Glory Of The Lord!'

John 17:5.

a)  And now,

b)  Father,

c)  Glorify Me in your Presence

d)  With the Glory I had with You

e)  Before the World began.

(This QT reminds me about the Glorious Eternal Existance of the Lord - The Glory Of The Lord)

PRAY: To have a Biblical concept of the Lord.

-------------

'The Lord's Presence.'

a)  Exodus 33:15. Is a necessity for every True Believer.

b)  Leviticus 22:3. Is Holy.

c)  Deuteronomy 4:37. Brought the Israelites out of Egypt.

d)  Deuteronomy 14:23 &26; 15:20. Is the place for a Holy Fellowship meal.

e)  Deuteronomy 29:10. All True Believers should stand in the Presence of the Lord. (This should be a part of our Worship Service.)

f)  1 Kings 8:28. We Pray in the Presence of the Lord our God.

g)  2 Chronicles 20:9. Is the place where we can bring our distress to Him.

h)  2 Chronicles 34:27. Is the place where we can humble ourselves.

i)  Ezra 9:15. Guilt prevents us from standing in the Lord's Presence.

j)  Psalm 5:5. The arrogant cannot stand in it.

k)  Psalm 9:19. The Nations shall be judged in it.

l)  Psalm 16:11; 21:6; Acts 2:28. Can be a source of Joy.

m)  Psalm 31:20. Is a place of safety.

n)  Psalm 90:8. The Light of the Lord's Presence exposes  sin.

o)  Psalm 140:13. The upright can dwell in it.

p)  Lamentations 2:19. We can pour out our hearts in it.

q)  1 Thessalonians 3:13: Is a place where we should be blameless and holy.

(Through this Second one I can see the importance of The Lord's Presence)

PRAY: To live in The Lord's Presence.

-------------

Chris.

This is a very clear fact - that the Light of the Lord's Presence exposes sin. We really should esteem the Lord's Presence in our Churches. Sin in the Church can weaken or even destroy the Church. If Church Leaders have the Fear of the Lord this goes a long way with dealing with sin in the Church. It is very good for Churches to Pray for their Leaders.

A Big Hope!

 'A Big Hope.'

Romans 11:14.

a)  In the hope

b)  That I may somehow

c)  Arouse my own people to envy

d)  And save some of them.

(This QT encourages A Big Hope)

PRAY: To have A Big Hope.

-----------

'The Way Was To Follow Jesus.'

Mark 10:52.

a)  Then Jesus said to Him:

b)  "Go your way,

c)  "Your faith has made you well."

d)  And immediately he received his sight

e)  And followed Jesus on the road.

(Through this Second one I can see The Way Was To Follow Jesus)

PRAY: To follow Jesus well.

----------

Chris.

To some people that Jesus served He told them just simply to go on their way, He knew their strengths and weaknesses! The nature of the Ministry of Jesus was very generous and selfless. Some people whom Jesus served decided to follow Him immediately: "They forsook all and followed Him". Others went back to their families and lived a life of Faith.

The Place Of Worship Should Never Be Like A Market!

'The Place Of Worship Should Never Be Like A Market.'

John 2:15.

a)  When Jesus had made a whip of cords,

b)  He drove them all out of the temple,

c)  With the sheep and the oxen,

d)  And poured out the changers' money

e)  And overturned the tables.

(This QT reminds me that The Place Of Worship Should Never Be Like A Market)

PRAY: For the Place Of Worship to be kept pure.

----------

'Our Spiritual Weapons.'

2 Corinthians 10:4.

a)  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal,

b)  But mighty through God

c)  To the pulling down of strong holds;

(This Second one makes me grateful to God for Our Spiritual Weapons)

PRAY: Thanking God for Our Spiritual Weapons.

----------

Chris.

As we read through 1 & 2 Corinthians we find some very practical advice that helps us to live a more effective Christian Life. We should learn from God's Word here that we can use the Weapons of Spiritual Warfare well. They are effective Weapons but they need to be used!

The Lord Jesus Finished His Work!

'The Lord Jesus Finished His Work.'

John 17:4.

a)  "I have Glorified You on Earth.

b)  "I have finished the work

c)  "Which You have given Me to do."

(This QT teaches me that The Lord Jesus Finished His Work)

PRAY: That we will finish the work that God gives us to do well.

---------

'A Beautiful Process.'

John 17:23.

a)  "I in them,

b)  "And you in Me;

c)  "That they may be made perfect in one,

d)  "And that the World may know that You have sent Me,

e)  "And have loved them as You have loved Me."

(In this Second one I find A Beautiful Process)

PRAY: That we may live within this Beautiful Process.

---------

Chris.

Christ in us! This is a Glorious Scripture and a Wonderful Truth! Jesus Christ lives within the True Believer. The Work and Presence of the Heavenly Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are inseparable! It is really good for us to ponder on both parts of this QT today!

A Sincere Apostle!

'A Sincere Apostle.'

Romans 11:13.

a)  Now I am speaking to you who are not Jews.

b)  I am an Apostle to those who are not Jews.

c)  And since I have that work,

d)  I will make the most of it.

(This QT teaches me the Principle of Apostleship)

PRAY: For more Sincere Apostles to be raised up by the Lord in these days.

--------

'Difficult But Necessary.'

Matthew 5:39.

a)  But I tell you not to resist an evil person.

b)  But whoever slaps you on your right cheek,

c)  Turn the other to him also.

(This Second one reveals something that is Difficult But Necessary)

PRAY: For God's Grace to help us when we face situations that are Difficult But Necessary.

--------

Chris.

Again, I would encourage every Believer to read through the Gospels, starting with Matthew, then Mark, Luke and John. The Life and Teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ can really put us on the right road for our life and future. If Jesus taught these things, they should have priority in our lives!

What Will Jesus Find In Our Churches?

'What Will Jesus Find In Our Churches?'

John 2:14.

a)  And He found in the Temple

b)  Those who sold:

1-Oxen.

2-Sheep.

3-Doves.

c)  Money changers doing business.

(This QT makes me ask the question: What Will Jesus Find In Our Churches?)

PRAY: For our Churches to be lead by the Principles of the Word Of God.

-------

'Jesus Christ Affirmed By The Father.'

Matthew 3:17.

a)  And suddenly a Voice came from Heaven,

b)  Saying,

c)  "This is My Beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased."

(Through this Second one I find Jesus Christ Affirmed By The Father)

PRAY: To put our full trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.

-------

Chris.

It is good for us to read the first Gospel in the Bible - Matthew - first. When we follow the Bible in a methodical way, sometimes reading from beginning to end, we can find more of God's Heart and Intention for us in Bible Reading. (This can be applied to both Old and New Testaments.)

This Is The Way!

'This Is The Way.'

John 17:3.

a)  And this is the way to have Eternal Life -

b)  To know You,

c)  The only True God,

d)  And Jesus Christ,

e)  The One You sent to Earth.

(This QT reminds me that This Is The Way)

PRAY: To have confidence in the complete Message of the Gospel.

------

'Jesus Knew His Time.'

John 12:23.

a)  Jesus replied:

b)  "The time has come

c)  "For the Son of Man to be Glorified."

(Through this Second one we know that Jesus Knew His Time)

PRAY: To have Strength and Grace to trust Jesus because He Knew His Time.

------

Chris.

It is clear from the Gospels, especially John's Gospel, that nothing took Jesus by surprise. He knew His Time! We need to trust Him daily in many ways - He is Trustworthy. Even though we may go through experiences that surprise us, they do not surprise the Lord! It is good for us to trust Him and Pray to Him because He knows best and cares for our lives. Wherever He leads us we should follow.

Consider The Jews And Gentiles For A Moment!

'Consider The Jews And Gentiles For A Moment.'

Romans 11:12.

a)  Now if the Jews' trespass means riches for the World,

b)  And their loss the riches of the Gentiles;

c)  How much more their fulness?

(This QT causes me to Consider The Jews And Gentiles For A Moment)

PRAY: Considering the Jews and Gentiles.

-----

'Riches.'

a)  1 Kings 10:23; 2 Chronicles 1:11. So King Solomon surpassed all the kings of the Earth in riches and wisdom.

b)  1 Chronicles 29:12. Both riches and honour come from You...

c)  1 Chronicles 29:28. So he died in a good old age; full of days and riches and honour.

d)  2 Chronicles 1:11. Solomon did not ask for them.

e)  2 Chronicles 1:12. God gives them.

f)  2 Chronicles 17:5; 18:1. Jehoshaphat had them in abundance.

g)  2 Chronicles 32:27. Hezekiah had very great riches.

h)  Proverbs 23:5. Can fly away.

i)  Proverbs 28:22. A man with an evil eye hastens after them.

j)  Luke 8:14. Can choke a person.

k)  Philippians 4:19. God has them in Glory.

(This Second one reminds me not to focus on Riches)

PRAY: To trust in God and not in riches.

-----

Chris.

We should never be jealous of people who have great riches. God is our Jehovah Jireh and we should trust Him as such. Jealousy can really weaken the Church - even a "mega Church"! We should repent of jealousy if it is something that we struggle with. God will surely give us the victory.

Time For Passover Celebration!

 'Time For Passover Celebration.'

John 2:13.

a)  It was nearly time

b)  For the Jewish Passover Celebration,

c)  So Jesus went to Jerusalem.

(This QT shows me that it was Time For Passover Celebration)

PRAY: To keep the Biblical Festivals well.

----

'A Time For Plain Speaking.'

John 16:25.

a)  I have told you these things in obscure figures of speech;

b)  A time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in obscure figures,

c)  But will tell you plainly about the Father.

(Through this Second one I know that there is A Time For Plain Speaking)

PRAY: To speak clearly, plainly and well.

----

Chris.

There is always A Time For Plain Speaking! If we do not speak plainly, we risk being misunderstood. If we are in a situation where we need an interpreter, we need to be sure that the interpreter really understands what we want to say before we begin our speaking. Jesus wanted the people to understand His Message clearly. That is a good example for us.

Christ Has Authority Over All Flesh!

'Christ Has Authority Over All Flesh.'

John 17:2.

a)  As You have given Him authority over all flesh,

b)  That He should give Eternal Life

c)  To as many as You have given Him.

(This QT reminds me that Christ Has Authority Over All Flesh)

PRAY: To submit to the Authority of Christ.

---

'Secure And Eternal Life.'

John 10:28.

a)  I give them Eternal Life,

b)  And they will never perish,

c)  And no one

d)  Will snatch them out of My Hand.

(Through this Second one I thank God for Secure And Eternal Life)

PRAY: Thanking God for His Gift of Eternal Life.

---

Chris.

We should always remember and be humbled by the fact that the Eternal Life which Believers receive is simply and purely the Gift that comes from the Lord Jesus Christ. He stated that He takes the responsibility in giving us this Gift and that He is able to keep us for Eternity. I am so glad that He is the Author of our Salvation and not us ourselves.

God's Wonderful Ways!

 'God's Wonderful Ways!'

Romans 11:11.

a)  Did God's People stumble and fall beyond recovery?

b)  Of course not!

c)  They were disobedient,

d)  So God made Salvation available to the Gentiles.

e)  But He wanted His Own People to become jealous

f)  And claim it for themselves.

(This QT teaches me more of God's Wonderful Ways)

PRAY: To read through and understand the Book of Romans carefully.

------------------------------

'They Will Listen.'

Acts 28:28.

a)  Therefore be advised

b)  That this Salvation from God

c)  Has been sent to the Gentiles;

d)  They will listen!

(This Second one makes it very clear to me that They Will Listen)

PRAY: That hearers of the Word of God in the Churches Will Listen well.

------------------------------

Chris.

These are powerful Words: "Therefore be advised", it means that they need to be taken note of! The subject is of vital importance: "Salvation from God".  This Scripture is very encouraging to those people who preach the Gospel - the Gentiles will listen. Keep on preaching the Gospel to the Gentiles! Pray for those people who travel all over the World to preach the Gospel to the Gentiles.

Just Passing Through!

'Just Passing Through.'

John 2:12.

a)  After this He went down to Capernaum:

1-He.

2-His mother.

3-His brothers.

4-And His Disciples.

b)  And they did not stay there many days.

(This QT shows that Jesus and those with Him were Just Passing Through Capernaum)

PRAY: That Disciples of Jesus Christ will always be willing to do the Will of God.

----------------------------

'Likewise.'

a)  Matthew 25:17. And likewise he who had received two gained two more also.

b)  Matthew 27:41. Likewise the chief priests also

c)  Mark 4:16. These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the Word, immediately receive it with gladness;

d)  John 6:11. And Jesus took the loaves and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the Disciples, and the Disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted.

e)  John 21:13. Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish.

f)  Romans 8:26. Likewise the Holy Spirit also helps us in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

g)  Romans 16:5. Likewise greet the Church that is in their house.

h)  1 Corinthians 7:3-4. Likewise in the relationship between husband and wife.

i)  1 Peter 3:1 & 7. Likewise between husbands and wives.

(Through this Second one I understand more about the word "Likewise")

PRAY: For the Spiritual Leaders to have Godly Wisdom.

---------------------------

Chris.

Jesus was concerned about hungry people! He Himself distributed food to the people. This is a lesson for all of us! The Church should have a role of some sort in dealing with feeding the hungry. This is a part of both care for the Believer and Preaching the Gospel to the non-Believer. May God Bless those involved in feeding the hungry.

Time Of Mutual Glorification!

 'Time Of Mutual Glorification.'

John 17:1.

a)  Jesus spoke these things, looked up to Heaven, and said:

b)  "Father, the Hour has come.

c)  "Glorify Your Son,

d)  "So that the Son may Glorify You."

(This QT reveals a Time Of Mutual Glorification)

PRAY: For our Churches to Glorify God.

---------------------------

'They Looked Up.'

a) Genesis 18:2; 22:4 & 13. Abraham.

b)    Genesis 24:64. Rebekah.

c)   Genesis 33:1. Jacob.

d)  Genesis 33:5. Esau.

e)  Genesis 37:25. Whilst they were having a meal.

f)  Exodus 14:10. The Israelites.

g)  John 17:1. Jesus Christ.

(This Second one shows me that They Looked Up)

PRAY: That we will Look Up well.

--------------------------------

Chris.

It is good to study the life of Jacob and all of the Bible Characters. We can learn so much as we study and pray through the Word of God in various ways. The Word of God is there to be read. Let us be encouraged to read the Bible for ourselves and not just wait for a Church "meeting" to hear or read it.

A Further Curse From David!

 'A Further Curse From David.'

Romans 11:10.

a)  Let their eyes go blind

b)  So they cannot see,

c)  And let their backs be bent forever.

(This QT reveals A Further Curse From David)

PRAY: To have the Fear of the Lord after reading the Curses From David.

-------------------------

'Consider Yourself First.'

Matthew 7:4.

a)  How can you think of saying to your friend:

b)  "Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye."

c)  When you can't see past the log in your own eye?

(Through this Second one I find that there are certain ways in which we should Consider Yourself First)

PRAY: To deal with all things regarding ourselves before we try to help or deal with other people.

-------------------------

Chris.

As we continue to read and pray through Matthew's Gospel we should expect to find changes in our lives. As we apply this Gospel, we can really find more and more of God's Heart revealed through Jesus Christ here! God's Word is very practical in helping us to deal with relationship issues. Let us continue to read and pray with God's Word!

The Signs, The Glory And The Faith!

'The Signs, The Glory And The Faith.'

John 2:11.

a)  This beginning of signs

b)  Jesus did in Cana of Galilee,

c)  And manifested His Glory;

d)  And His Disciples believed in Him.

(This QT shows me The Signs, The Glory And The Faith)

PRAY: For The Signs, The Glory And The Faith to be evident in our Churches.

----------------------

'Fruit From Cana Of Galilee.'

John 21:2.

a)  Nathanael.

b)  Thomas called "The Twin".

c)  John 2:11. The signs.

(This Second one teaches me that Jesus had Fruit From Cana Of Galilee)

PRAY: For a fruitful Christian Life.

--------------------

Chris.

The Lord has called us to bear fruit. there are many definitions of what this fruit may be but we need to have assurance and confidence that we are "fruit-bearing Believers". I am sure that regular Bible Reading and being filled with the Holy Spirit are both ways in which the pathway to fruitfulness can begin. Let us go on and bear fruit.

Take Heart - I Have Overcome The World!

'Take Heart - I Have Overcome The World!'
John 16:33.
a)  "I have told you these things,
b)  "So that in Me you may have Peace.
c)  "In this World you will have trouble.
d)  "But take heart!
e)  "I have overcome the World."
(This QT causes me to take heed to the Words of the Lord: "Take Heart - I Have Overcome The World)
PRAY: To take heart!
--------------------
'Apostle Paul In Athens.'
Acts 17:16-17.
a)  While Paul was waiting for them in Athens,
b)  He was greatly upset because he saw that the city was full of idols.
c)  So he was addressing the Jews and the God fearing Gentiles
d)  In the synagogue and in the market place every day
e)  Those who happened to be there.
(Through this Second one I find a part of the life of Apostle Paul In Athens)
PRAY: To be upset about what we should be upset about.
--------------------
Chris
As Jesus has already told us that in this World (system) we will have trouble, we should should be prepared for this! We need to remember that Jesus has overcome the World and that we are secure in Him. Jesus tells us to "take heart", others may say "do not be shaken"! We do well to take the Words of Jesus into our heart.

David Spoke A Curse!

 'David Spoke A Curse.'

Romans 11:9.

a)  And David says:

b)  "Let their table become:

1-A snare.

2-A trap.

3-A retribution for them.

c)  "Let their Blessings cause them to stumble,

d)  "And let them get what they deserve."

(This QT reminds me that David Spoke A Curse)

PRAY: To understand the Book of Romans well as we read it.

------------------

'The Leader's Testimony Outside Of The Church.'

1 Timothy 3:7.

a)  Also,

b)  People outside of the Church

c)  Must speak well of him

d)  So that he will not be disgraced

e)  And fall into the Devil's trap.

(Through this Second one I understand The Leader's Testimony Outside Of The Church)

PRAY: For our Leaders to have a good testimony outside of the Church.

------------------

Chris.

The Church is supposed to have a good testimony in front of those people who are outside of it! This is a part of the good influence of the Church on society. The lives of the 'outsiders' can be evangelised and positively influenced by a 'healthy' Church! The lives of the Church 'leaders' are especially important in this matter, not just in the Church but also in their home - as pictured above!

Jesus Did Something Different!

'Jesus Did Something Different.'

John 2:10.

a)  The head waiter called the groom and told him:

b)  "Everyone sets out the fine wine first,

c)  "Then, after people are drunk,

d)  "The inferior.

e)  "But you have kept the fine wine until now."

(This QT teaches me that Jesus Did Something Different)

PRAY: To be sensitive to what the Lord Jesus wants to do.

-----------------

'The Marys Saw.'

Mark 15:47.e

a)  Mary Magdalene and

b)  Mary the mother of Joseph

c)  Saw where He was laid.

(Through this Second one I know that The Marys Saw)

PRAY: To be sensitive in every situation regarding the Lord Jesus Christ.

-----------------

Chris.

The Marys saw where Jesus was laid. This means that they were still alert and sensitive even when their hearts must have been very sad! Here is a good lesson for us: we should not be controlled or have our decisions influenced by negative environments! I enjoy reading the simple facts recorded in Mark's Gospel. Surely, faith comes as we read and listen to the Word of God.

The Hour Has Already Come!

 'The Hour Has Already Come.'

John 16:32.

a)  Behold, the hour is coming,

b)  Indeed it has come,

c)  When you will be scattered,

d)  Each to his own home,

e)  And to leave Me alone;

f)  And yet I am not alone,

g)  Because the Father is with Me.

(This QT reminds me that the hour has already come and passed)

PRAY: For careful and considerate reading of John's Gospel.

----------------

'Receive The Lord's Gift Of Peace.'

John 14:27.

a)  Peace I leave with you;

b)  My Peace I give to you;

c)  Not as the World gives do I give to you.

d)  Do not let your heart be troubled,

e)  Nor let it be fearful.

(Through this Second one I encourage all True Believers to Receive The Lord's Gift Of Peace)

PRAY: To receive the Lord's Gift of Peace.

----------------

Chris.

Peace of and from the Lord is one of the Gifts that He freely gives to us. In the troubled World system people are doing all kinds of things trying to find "peace". Truly, the Lord is the only real Source of pure and lasting Peace. Let us come to the Lord, and in Him we will find Peace! Notice that this Peace is a Gift from Him, we cannot earn it.

God Has Given Them A Spirit Of Stupor!

'God Has Given Them A Spirit Of Stupor.'

Romans 11:8.

a)  Just as it is written:

b)  "God has given them a spirit of stupor,

c)  "Eyes that they should not see

d)  "And ears that they should not hear,

e)  "To this very day."

(This QT reminds me that it is possible for God to give people a spirit of stupor)

PRAY: To be alert at all times.

---------------

'God's Judgment...To Thrive No More.'

Jeremiah 11:16.

a)  I, the Lord, once called you a thriving olive tree,

b)  One that produced beautiful fruit.

c)  But I will set you on fire,

d)  Fire that will blaze with a mighty roar.

e)  Then all your branches will be good for nothing.

(Through this Second one I see God's Judgment... To Thrive No More)

PRAY: For God's Mercy to come before His Judgment.

---------------

Chris.

It is good to discover, from God's Word, what He calls us! We need to be pleasing to the Lord with our life and with the Ministries that He may have given to us! If this is going to happen, it means that we need to take time with the Lord, at least daily. One of our goals should be that we produce beautiful fruit for the Glory of God!

Not A Diligent Head Steward!

'Not A Diligent Head Steward.'

John 2:9.

a)  When the head steward tasted the water that had been turned to wine

b)  Not knowing where it came from

c)  (Though the servants who had drawn the water knew),

d)  The master of the feast called the bridegroom...

(This QT reveals that he was Not A Diligent Head Steward)

PRAY: To be diligent in our work and service.

--------------

'They Tasted...'

a)  Psalm 119:66. To taste means moral and ethical discernment.

b)  1 Peter 2:3. That the Lord is kind.

c)  1 Samuel 14:29 & 43. A little honey.

d)  Daniel 5:2. The wine.

e)  Hebrews 6:4. The Heavenly Gift.

f)  Hebrews 6:5. The good Word of God and the Powers of the Age to come.

(This Second one shows me that They Tasted)

PRAY: To taste the good Word of God well.

--------------

Chris.

The Lord is kind. Kindness is a part of His basic Nature. We may go through many different experiences in our lives but our experiences do not determine the Nature of God! Sometimes we need to restore a good "spiritual foundation" for our lives. The Lord will surely lead us in these matters, we should not try to work out things for ourselves.

Jesus Challenges His Disciples!

'Jesus Challenges His Disciples.'

John 16:31.

a)  Jesus answered them:

b)  Do you now

c)  Believe?

(In this QT Jesus Challenges His Disciples)

PRAY: To respond well when challenged by Jesus.

--------------

'Do Not Believe It.'

Matthew 24:23.

a)  Then if anyone says to you:

b)  'Look, Here is the Christ.

c)  Or,

d)  'There!

e)  'Do not believe it.'

(In this Second one I am reminded... Do Not Believe It)

PRAY:  To Believe what is correct to Believe.

--------------

Chris.

Jesus Himself tells us not to Believe everything. This must sound a note of caution to every True Believer and send us back to the Word of God. There are many people saying many things that would deceive the True Believer and we should not be "taken in" by such things.

Israel's Problem!

 'Israel's Problem.'

Romans 11:7.

a)  What then?

b)  What the people of Israel sought so earnestly

c)  They did not obtain.

d)  The Elect among them did,

e)  But the others were hardened.

(This QT reveals Israel's Problem)

PRAY: Not to have a hardened heart.

-------------

'Jesus Came To Fulfil The Law And The Prophets.'

Matthew 5:17.

a)  "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets;

b)  "I have not come to abolish them

c)  "But to fulfil them."

(This Second one makes me understand that Jesus Came To Fulfil The Law And The Prophets)

PRAY: To fully trust in Jesus.

-------------

Chris.

Matthew's Gospel deserves the place that it has at the beginning of the New Testament! Throughout the twenty eight chapters we can find an excellent foundation. Serious Bible Study and Bible Reading follows the Bible through from beginning to end. "Pick and choose" Bible Reading never really meets the intention that the Lord has for our Bible Reading.

Very Obedient Servants!

 'Very Obedient Servants.'

John 2:7-8.

a)  Jesus told the servants:

b)  "Fill the jars with water."

c)  When the jars had been filled,

d)  He said,

e)  "Now dip some out

f)  "And take it to the master of ceremonies."

g)  So the servants followed His Instructions.

(This QT reveals some Very Obedient Servants)

PRAY: To be an Obedient Servant - in every way.

------------

'To Be A Part Of The Family Of Jesus Christ.'

Matthew 12:50.

a)  For whosoever shall do the Will of My Father which is in Heaven,

b)  The same is:

c)  My brother,

d)  And sister,

e)  And mother.

(Through this Second one I want To Be A Part Of The Family Of Jesus Christ)

PRAY: To have confidence in being A Part Of The Family Of Jesus Christ.

-------------

Chris.

As True Believers, we need to have a clear focus in our lives to do the Will of God. When we are endeavouring to do the Will of God an assurance comes into our lives. This assurance is linked to the confidence that we are a part of the Family of Jesus Christ. Let us make this clear focus a part of our daily walk with God!

The Christian Life!

'The Christian Life.' a)  Deuteronomy 7:11. Keep the Word of  God. b)  Deuteronomy  7:12. Listen to the Word of God. c)  Deuteronomy...
