‘The Great King Desires Pure Worship.’
Malachi 1:12-14.
a) Malachi 1:12. God’s People were profaning Him, they were saying that Worship was not important and acting that way also.
b) Malachi 1:13. They were saying that they were weary of Worship and they were acting so proudly as if Worship was of no importance.
c) Malachi 1:14. God curses deceivers and hypocrites.
d) Malachi 1:14. God:-
1- Is a Great King.
2- Is the Lord of Hosts.
3- Has a Name that is to be honoured among the heathen people.
(This QT clearly shows me that The Great King Desires Pure Worship)
------------
‘A Covenant Keeping People.’
Malachi 2:10-12.
a) Malachi 2:10. We all have One Heavenly Father.
b) Malachi 2:10. We are all in the same Family of God so we should keep united with each other.
c) Malachi 2:10. We should not be Covenant breakers.
d) Malachi 2:11. Judah despised the Covenant and desecrated the Holiness of God by marrying heathen women who worshipped heathen gods.
e) Malachi 2:12. God curses these people and they will no longer be a part of His Family.
(This Second one reminds me of the responsibility of being A Covenant Keeping Person)

Chris.
In both passages today we read the phrase: “God curses”. This is still a Biblical Truth today. The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ was made a curse for us on the Cross. This means that if we have been living under some kind of a curse, we can come to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, as we obey Him the power of every curse can be broken in His Name.
