Jeremiah 5:12-13.
a) They tell lies about the Lord.
b) They say that the Lord will do nothing.
c) They say that no harm will come to us and them.
d) They say that they will never see sword (war) or famine.
e) The prophets are but wind.
f) The Word of God is not in them.
g) Let what they say be done to them.

The prophets are but wind. This was said of many 'prophets' in Bible Days and the Word is still relevant for today. When the 'prophets' are just wind it means that the Word of God is not in them. The Bible is very clear about the Ministry of a Prophet in the New Testament Church and about the The Holy Spirit's Gift of Prophecy. We should not allow our lives to be ruled by a 'prophet' or by someone's "gift" of Prophecy. God wants to lead us, others may confirm His leading in our lives, that is good and acceptable, but no one should control our lives.
