Resist Compromise!

‘Resist Compromise.’
Galatians 6:11-13.
a) Galatians 6:11. This was something that Apostle Paul really emphasised.
b) Galatians 6:12. The people who were trying to get the Galatian Believers circumcised were actually trying to make a show about their influence over these Believers.
c) Galatians 6:12. The only real reason that they did it was to avoid persecution from the Jews.
d) Galatians 6:13. These circumcision advocates had no intention of keep the Law in other ways.
e) Galatians 6:13. These people just wanted to boast that they had influenced the Galatian Believers to join them.
(This QT strongly urges me to Resist Compromise)

‘A Call From Apostle Paul’s And God’s Hearts.’
Romans 12:1-2.
a) This was written to all the Brothers and Sisters in the Church at Rome. It was, and still is, all inclusive.
b) It is about a response to God because of His Great Mercy towards us.
c) We are to give our body as a living sacrifice to God.
d) This is:-
1- True Worship.
2- Dedication to His Service.
3- Pleasing to Him.
e) Literally it means that we are totally available to Him.
f) Then we have no need to copy the behaviour and customs of the fallen world system.
g) Then God can transform us into a new person by changing the way we think.
h) Then we can know the Will of God which is:-
1- Good.
2- Pleasing.
3- Perfect.
(This Second one challenges me with A Call From Apostle Paul’s And God’s Hearts)

Chris.
The Compromisers in Galatia really were very irreligious, manipulative and self-protective. They had no honourable motives at all. They wanted to boast about their influence over the new Galatian converts and they wanted to compromise so that they would not face persecution. Pride and Fear, as is here, often go together and we need to understand that they make the Church dirty and weak.
