'God is a God of Restoration'

'God Is A God Of Restoration.'

Joel 2:25-29.

a) The Background Situation.

1-Joel 1:2-4. It was an awful experience.

2-Joel 1:9. They had nothing to offer at the Temple.

For two reasons, the Priests were crying. One was spiritual - the condition for                worship. Two was natural - they were hungry.

3-Joel 1:14-15; 2:12-17. It was a time for National repentance.

4-Joel 1:18 & 20. Even the animals and wild animals were suffering.

    5-Joel 1:19. Lord, help us.

    6-Joel 2:1. Sound the alarm.

7-Joel 2:6. Fear grips the people.

8-Joel 2:7-11. This was the Lord's army of locusts.

b) The Promise of God.

1-Joel 2:21-24. God's Love and Goodness for His People.

c) The Restoration.

    1-Joel 2:25. God says I will Restore.

2-Joel 2:26-27. Never again will God's People be ashamed.

3-Joel 2:27. Our Immanuel, God with us.

4-Joel 2:28-29. The Promise of the Holy Spirit.

(This QT give me the confidence that God is a God of Restoration.)

--------------

Chris

Let us pray for our nation to be restored before the Lord. As we come to His presence and trust the Lord's promise, surely He will help the nations to be rebuilt and restored for His purpose and glory through the power of the Holy Spirit.

‘Jealousy Comes’

Genesis 37:4.

a) Through our eyes.

b) Seeing someone else being loved by another person.

c) Creating hatred.

d) Breaking our relationships and fellowship.

(Through this Second one, I can see the havoc created when Jealousy comes.)

------------

Chris.

Assurance and confidence are two great strengtheners for our inner man. If we have an active, pure faith in God and a good relationship with Him, we should have the resultant assurance and confidence. Assurance and confidence are not things that true believers have to pray for, rather they are what comes as our life is in right condition with God.

Let us both trust Him and call to Him as the need arises.

Obedient. This word often makes hurting people very angry. Most people who are hurt are hurt by injustice or while trying to obey. Some people are hurt by being forced to obey. When God uses this word, it is meant to be a safe and beautiful word; the best way for us is the way of obedience.

----------------------------------

Chris.

God is King of the Nations. We have the account in the Scriptures of the time that in their sin, pride and jealousy the Children of Israel made their own angry demonstration against God, demanding a human king. This demonstration, like all demonstrations, grieved the Heart of God, yet He gave them their desire, but along with the desire their was leanness to their souls. As True Believers there are two lessons for us. Firstly, avoid demonstrations and secondly, own and confess God as our King.

b) Hebrews 11:6. Without Faith it is impossible to please God.

c) Mark 11:24. As we pray.

(This Second one urges me to Have Faith In God)

-----------------------------------

Chris.

There are people, whom God says, do know wrong. The reason that God classifies them in such a way is that they walked in the Lord's Ways. David was such a person, we know, because the Bible records it, that David sinned, yet God gave him so much credibility. The condition of the heart has much to do with it. Even the people with the purest motivation in their hearts sometimes sin. Yet, if they, like David did, deal with their sins, God will give them credibility.

If we have Faith, we will receive Strength. If we have Faith, we will reap the benefits of our Salvation both now and throughout Eternity. Let us exercise our Faith to both Pray to and Wait for the Lord.
