Chris.

God is King of the Nations. We have the account in the Scriptures of the time that in their sin, pride and jealousy the Children of Israel made their own angry demonstration against God, demanding a human king. This demonstration, like all demonstrations, grieved the Heart of God, yet He gave them their desire, but along with the desire their was leanness to their souls. As True Believers there are two lessons for us. Firstly, avoid demonstrations and secondly, own and confess God as our King.
