The Responsibility That Goes With Leadership!

‘The Responsibility That Goes With Leadership.’
2 Chronicles 19:8-10.
a)   2 Chronicles 19:8. In the City of God there were Priests.
b)   2 Chronicles 19:8. These priests were given the task from the Lord, amongst His People to:-
1-  Settle problems.
2-  Give judgments.
3-  Decide controversies.
c)   2 Chronicles 19:9. These priests were to be:-
1-  Serving faithfully with all their heart.
2-  Fearing the Lord.
3-  Men of integrity.
d)   2 Chronicles 19:10. When the people came to the priest with their problems and controversies the priest needed to:-
1-  Listen well.
2-  Warn the people.
3-  Instruct the people that they were not to sin against the Lord.
4-  Obey the Lord so that the people would also obey the Lord, then they would not be guilty.
(This QT reminds me of The Responsibility That Goes With Leadership)
----
‘We Should Check Our Ways.’
Proverbs 14:12.
a)   There is a way.
b)   That people think is correct, it seems good to them.
c)   It appears to be a straight way.
d)   But it leads only to death.
(This Second one causes me to see that I Should Check My Ways)
----
Chris.

The example of serving faithfully with all their heart must come from Leaders first. Leaders can only lead the people as far as they themselves have gone. If the Leader’s expectation is anything else than this then their concept is incorrect.

These Things God Is Pleased By!

‘These Things God Is Pleased By.’
Hebrews 13:16.
a)   We should:-
1-  Do good.
2-  Communicate.
3-  Share what we have with other people.
b)   These kind of sacrifices.
c)   God is well pleased with.
(This QT teaches me that These Things God Is Well Pleased By)
-----------
‘The Fruit Of Trusting The Lord.’
Proverbs 3:5-6.
a)   Trust in the Lord completely.
b)   With all our heart.
c)   We should not depend on our own knowledge.
d)   In every step that we take we should think about what the Lord wants.
e)   He will help us to go in the correct way and direct our paths.
(This Second one reveals The Fruit Of Trusting The Lord)
-----------
Chris.

There are certain sacrifices that God is well pleased with and there are other sacrifices mentioned in the Bible that God does not like at all. The sacrifices that please God surely come out from a selfless life, with the prime example being the Lord Jesus Himself.

For Historic Reasons!

‘For Historic Reasons.’
Isaiah 19:17.
a)   Why will the land of Judah become a terror to the Egyptians? It is because of the prophecies concerning Egypt that were previously fulfilled given by the prophets of Judah.
b)   Everyone in Egypt would be afraid.
c)   Because the Lord had purposed against Egypt.
(Through this QT I understand the fear in Egypt at that time, it was For Historic Reasons)
---------
‘Do Not Be Afraid.’
Deuteronomy 31:6.
a)   We are to be:-
1-  Strong.
2-  Brave.
3-  Of Good Courage.
b)   We are not to have the fear of people.
c)   The Lord our God goes with us.
d)   The Lord will not:-
1-  Fail us.
2-  Leave us.
3-  Forsake us.
(Through this Second one I receive by Faith the Lord’s Words: Do Not Be Afraid)
---------
Chris.
Sometimes it is wise, and also interesting, to read why the Bible says certain things. We are so used to taking Bible verses for granted and even misquoting them. Simply here we glanced at this question: Why will the land of Judah become a terror to the Egyptians?

Ungodly Concept Of Bible Teaching!

‘Ungodly Concept Of Bible Teaching.’
(This was spoken to Moses by his father-in-law who was a heathen priest)
Exodus 18:20.
a)    Teach the people statutes and laws. (Legalism)
b)   Show them the way in which they MUST walk. (No guidance from the Holy Spirit or the Word of God. Just simple human domination)
c)    Show them the work that they MUST do. (No chances for them to exercise the Gifts that God may have given to them)
(This QT shows me an Ungodly Concept Of Bible Teaching)
--------
‘He Saw The Wind Was Strong.’
Matthew 14:28-30.
a)    Matthew 14:28. Peter asked the Lord that if it was really Him then command him to walk on the water. Peter doubted that it was really the Lord.
b)   Matthew 14:29. Jesus told Peter to come to Him and Peter began to walk on the water.
c)    Matthew 14:30. Then Peter became afraid because of the wind and he saw the strong wind boisterous sea. Peter began to sink and he cried out to the Lord to save him.
(Through this Second one I am reminded to keep my spiritual eyes on Jesus: He Saw The Wind Was Strong)
--------
Chris.
Domination is never the Will of God, especially in Christian Church or Mission/Ministry environment. Since the early days of the Old Testament right through until today some people seek to dominate others. Domination does not achieve the Will of God. It produces worldy satisfaction for the dominating person and pain and frustration for the dominated person.

An Eternal Perspective!

‘An Eternal Perspective.’
Hebrews 13:14-15.
a)    We have no permanent home or city on this Earth.
b)   We are looking for the city that is to come.
c)    By and through Jesus let us continually offer the Sacrifice of Praise to God.
d)    The fruit of our lips should confess His Name without ceasing.
(This QT reveals to me An Eternal Perspective)
-------
‘The Path That We Walk.’
2 Corinthians 5:7.
a)    The path we walk.
b)   Is charted by Faith.
c)    Not by what we see with our eyes.
(This Second one reminds me about The Path That I Take)
-------
Chris.

The fruit of our lips should Praise His Name without ceasing. It is always good to Praise the Lord at appropriate times. He is Good and there are many good things to Praise Him for every day. Sometimes I neglect Praise as a part of my personal spiritual life and relationship with God and if I forget or neglect, my day is usually an ‘up and down’ one.

No Work To Do!

‘No Work To Do.’
Isaiah 19:15-16.
a)    There will no work to do or employment in Egypt.
b)   This is for important or unimportant people.
c)    Egypt will become like a fearful and trembling woman.
d)    The Lord is going to shake His Hand over Egypt.
(This QT calls me to Pray for those people who have No Work To Do)
------
‘The Annual Shadow.’
Hebrews 10:1.
a)    The old system, under the Law of Moses, was only a shadow.
b)   A dim preview of the good things to come and not the good things themselves.
c)    The Sacrifices under that system were repeated again and again, year after year.
d)    For those people who came for Worship these sacrifices were never able to provide perfect cleansing.
(This Second one helps me to perfectly understand The Annual Shadow)
------
Chris.

In front of God there are no important people or unimportant people. God so Loves the people of the World and He desires them to be Saved. God does put a distinction over the financially poor people and desires them to be evangelised and to become a part of His Kingdom. There are so many ways in which the Church could serve and help the poor if the Church is Mission minded. It could actually start in our home town.

Beneficial Family Discipline!

‘Beneficial Family Discipline.’
Proverbs 29:17.
a)     Discipline your son.
b)    He will give you rest.
c)     He will give delight to your heart.
(This QT teaches me about Beneficial Family Ministry)
---------
‘To Be Found In Christ.’
Philippians 3:9.
a)     I want to be found in Christ.
b)    Not having a righteous of my own, based on the Law.
c)     I want to have the Righteousness which is through Faith in Christ.
d)    This is the Righteousness from God that depends on Faith.
(This Second one expresses my desire: To Be Found In Christ)
---------
Chris.

To be found in Christ must be one of the foremost desires of every True Believer. The greatest barriers to being found in Christ are self-righteousness and religious legalism. I need to build my Faith centred on the Word of God because Faith comes from the Word of God.

' Christ Died for Our Sins Once For All.'

'Christ Died For Our Sins Once For All.' a) 1 Peter 3:18. For unrighteous people to make them righteous. b) 1 Peter 2:24. That...
