'For Our Good.'
Hebrews 12:10.
a)  Our parents trained us for a little while.
b)  They did what they thought was best.
c)  But God trains us for our good.
d)  He wants us to share in His Holiness.

Chris.
Jacob was a gentle and wise Shepherd. He wanted all the people, as well as the flocks and herds, to safely reach their destination. Jacob was considerate, not about himself, but for all the other people, the children and the flocks and herds.
Here is a good pattern for the Shepherds of God's People, being considerate for the flock of God.
Being a Biblical Shepherd of God's People is certainly no easy task. It is a special and definite calling from God.
The Biblical Shepherd needs to be equipped and anointed by God for his task. He needs to also be able to train "under-shepherds" who will be equipped to care for the following generation.
Going to a Bible School or Seminary can be good preparation for Ministry but there needs to be "hands-on" training also, where the trainee Shepherd learns in the Church from the Shepherd.
Please pray for the Shepherds of God's People.
