An Active Response!


'An Active Response.'
Luke 2:15. 
a)  The Angels left the shepherds and returned to Heaven. 
b)  The shepherds then made a decision together. 
c)  They would go to Bethlehem to see what had happened,
d)  Because the Lord had made something known to them.
(This QT encourage me to make An Active Response when it is right to do so)
PRAYER: For Grace and Faith to make An Active Response when I need to.

'Shepherds.'
a)  Genesis 29:3. Are strong and care for the sheep.
b)  Genesis 46:34. Are not always popular with everyone. 
c)  Exodus 2:19. Are sometimes aggressive. 
d)  Jeremiah 3:15. Should be loyal to the Lord first, and then to the flock. 
e)  Jeremiah 10:21. Stupid shepherds:
1-Do not seek the Lord. 
2-Do not prosper. 
3-Jeremiah 23:2; Ezekiel 34:8. Scatter the flock.
f)  Jeremiah 12:10; 50:6. Irresponsible shepherds. 
g)  Jeremiah 23:4. Can be raised up by God. 
h)  Ezekiel 34:2. Sometimes just feed themselves but not the flock. 
i)  Ezekiel 34:7. Need to hear the Word of the Lord. 
j)  Nahum 3:18. Are sometimes slumbering when they should not be.
k)  Zechariah 11:5. Sometimes have no compassion for the flock. 
l)  Luke 2:20. May have hearts that are open to God. 
(This Second one reminds me to Pray for Shepherds)
PRAYER: For our shepherds to follow the example of The Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ)

Fleshly "Christianity", where there is compromise or legalism, but no Grace, can cause many people to turn away from the Church. The Bible is not simply a "Law Book", it tells us of God's Laws, yes, but it is far more than that. The Bible is the Revelation of God's Grace in such a way that we can receive it, amazing Grace!
