Where Are Your Gods?


'Where Are Your Gods?
Jeremiah 2:28.
a)  Deuteronomy 32:37-38. God is asking His People where were their (false) gods?
b)  They made their false gods for themselves.
c)  Let these false gods arise.
d)  If they can save God's People. 
e)  In times of trouble and disaster.
f)  The false gods cannot do anything.
g)  Jeremiah 11:13. God's People had many cities. 
h)  They had just as many gods.
(This QT surely challenges the Church today as it does me)

'The Voice Of The Lord.'
a)  Revelation 1:15. Is like the roar of many waters. 
b)  Exodus 15:26. Is to be diligently listened to.
c)  Deuteronomy 5:25; Psalm 29:4. Is extremely powerful.
d)  Deuteronomy 8:20; 13:18; 15:5. Should be obeyed.
e)  Psalm 29:3. Is over the waters. 
f)  Psalm 29:4. Is full of Majesty.
g)  Psalm 29:8. Shakes the wilderness. 
h)  Isaiah 6:8. Reveals His Call.
i)  Micah 6:9. Cries to the City. 
j)  Acts 7:31. Moses needed to be distracted from other things in order to hear it.
(Through this Second one I am reminded of the Uniqueness of The Voice Of The Lord)

Where are the people's 'gods' in times of trouble and disaster? The World News today is full of news stories about trouble and disaster. Many people are affected by this trouble and disaster in a variety of ways. It can cause loss of life, loss of hope, loss of material things. The list of losses can go on and on! When there are times of trouble and disaster, we thank God that we can turn to Him first for our different needs.
