‘David And Abigail – Christ And The Church.’
1 Samuel 25:39-42.
a) 1 Samuel 25:39. David sends his messengers to Abigail at the right time. There is always a “right time” to hear the Gospel and respond to the Lord.
b) 1 Samuel 25:40. The Message was very clear. The Gospel Message needs to be very clear.
c) 1 Samuel 25:41. Abigail’s humble response. As we humbly respond to the Gospel we can truly become a part of the Church.
d) 1 Samuel 25:42. Abigail’s prompt response. We should also promptly respond to the Gospel invitation and enter into God’s Family – the Church.

Chris.
True Leaders in the Body of Christ are established by the Lord. There are some leaders today who try to establish themselves by breaking away from established Churches and ministries and attempting to build their own “kingdoms” rather than be a part of God’s Church being established by the Lord. We need to be very cautious about joining these “breakaway” groups. The way that the Kingdom of God is expanded is not through “breakaway” groups, rather it is expanded as the local Churches send out Leaders to serve and lead in other places.
