Finished!

‘Finished.’

a)       Isaiah 34:5; Ezekiel 21:5. God’s Sword finished its work.

b)       Jeremiah 8:20. The harvest is finished.

c)       Jeremiah 26:8. Jeremiah finished speaking all the Words that the Lord gave to Him.

d)       Jeremiah 51:63. Finished reading the scroll.

e)       Ezekiel 42:15. Finished measuring the inside of the temple.

f)       Haggai 2:18. The Foundation of the Lord’s Temple is finished.

g)       Zechariah 8:9. Blessings will come when the building of the Temple is finished.

h)       Matthew 11:1. Jesus finished instructing His Twelve Disciples.

i)         Genesis 2:2. God finished His Work.

j)        Genesis 17:22; 18:33. God finished talking with Abraham.

k)       Joshua 3:17; 4:1 & 11. All the Nation finished passing over the Jordan.

‘All Are Guilty.’

Leviticus 17:13.

a)       When the entire Nation of Israel, (All God’s People in a certain location) sin without realising it.

b)       They have done something that Jehovah told them not to do.

c)       All the people are guilty and they will realise it.

(This Second one reveals to me how All Are Guilty)

Jesus finished instructing His Twelve Disciples. He spent much time with His Disciples and He did many things together with them. He experienced some of their difficult times and rescued them. He gave them the privilege of taking part in His Miracles. Jesus also saw when His Disciples needed rest. It would be good if every leader of others in the Body of Christ could study the way that Jesus spent time with His Twelve Disciples.

True Believer's Children Need To Understand!

‘True Believer’s Children Need To Understand.’

Deuteronomy 6:21.

a)       They need to be told God’s Word.

b)       They need to know about their family’s past when they are old enough to know.

c)       They need to know that the Lord brought them out of Egypt.

d)       The Lord did this with great Power.

(This QT makes me realise that True Believer’s Children Need To Understand)

‘Offer Our Best To The Lord.’

Deuteronomy 17:1.

a)       Never offer to the Lord an ox or sheep that is:-

1-       Sick.

2-      Defective.

3-     Blemished.

b)       The Lord does not feel honoured by such gifts.

c)       These gifts are an abomination to the Lord our God.

(This Second one encourages me to Offer My Best To The Lord)

The Lord did this with great power. When we read our Bible and also when we see read or hear of the Lord working in different ways today, sometimes we almost take these incidents for granted. We ‘get used’ to hearing and telling Bible Stories. The reality of the situation is that the Lord has done these things, whether ancient or modern, by His Great Power. 

Watch Out And Stand Firm!

‘Watch Out And Stand Firm.’

1 Peter 5:8-9.

a)       We are to:-

1-       Be careful.

2-      Watch out.

3-     Control ourselves.

b)       Satan is our enemy and he is like a roaring lion looking for something to devour.

c)       Stand firm when he attacks.

d)       Trust the Lord.

e)       Remember that other True Believers all around the World are facing the same temptations.

(This QT calls me to Watch Out And Stand Firm)

Leviticus 4:3.

a)       If they do, they bring guilt upon all the people.

b)       They must put it right with God.

c)       They should not try to resolve their problems lightly.

(This Second one teaches me that Even Anointed Priests Might Sin)

Satan is our enemy and he is like a roaring lion looking for something to devour. There is absolutely no need to fall as prey to Satan at all. The Lord Promises to give us Victory over every temptation and it is Truth. We should heed the Promises from the Word of the Lord. Some of those Promises help us in very practical ways.

It was blood from another source - so was sent home today afternoon after internal examination by the hospital. They were very helpful and kind.

When The Lord Is Enraged Against The Nations!

‘When The Lord Is Enraged Against The Nations.’

Isaiah 34:2-4.

a)       Isaiah 34:2. His fury is against their armies.

b)       Isaiah 34:2. He will utterly destroy them and deliver them to slaughter.

c)       Isaiah 34:2. He will deliver them to slaughter.

d)       Isaiah 34:3. Their dead will remain unburied and the stench of rotting bodies will fill the Land.

e)       Isaiah 34:3. The mountains will fill with their blood.

f)        Isaiah 34:4. At that time the heavens will melt away and disappear just like a rolled up scroll..

g)       Isaiah 34:4. The stars will fall as leaves and as ripe fruit from the trees.

‘Regular Reading Of The Word Of God.’

Deuteronomy 17:20.

a)       Although originally written for kings this is excellent advice for all True Believer fathers.

b)       Read God’s Word regularly – it prevents pride.

c)       It will keep him following the Lord well.

d)       It will help his children also to follow the Lord.

(This Second one teaches me the importance of Regular Reading Of The Word Of God)

There are some awful scenes that we can see on the Television in times of war. No one like to be a witness of war. God talks about wars quite a lot in both the Old and New Testaments. God does not start wars but sometimes He allows them so that people may turn to Him in their dire need. Personally I do not like wars and conflicts of any type, I have to acknowledge however that it seems that God allows them.

Christ Gave Himself For Us!

‘Christ Gave Himself For Us.’

Titus 2:14.

a)       Christ gave Himself for us.

b)       So that He can rescue us from constant falling into sin and Redeem us from all lawlessness.

c)       He died to make us His very Own people.

d)       He died to give us cleansed hearts.

e)       He died to give us real enthusiasm for doing kind things for other people.

(This QT makes me so grateful that Christ Gave Himself For Me)

‘God Guided His People Carefully.’

Numbers 27:21.

a)       Joshua would consult with Eleazar the Priest in order to get instructions from the Lord.

b)       The Lord would speak to Eleazer through the use of the Urim before the Lord.

c)       According to what Joshua said the people of the Lord would stay put or go out.

d)       The Lord continued to give them Guidance like this.

(This Second one shows me that God Guided His People Carefully. He never changes!)

Jesus Christ died to make us His very own people. That is amazing! He did not die just to make us ‘Christians’, He did not die just to forgive our sins. He did not even die just to give us a new start in life. Although all these thing are so very wonderful, true and lovely. Jesus also died to make us His very Own People.

God Cares!

‘God Cares.’

1 Peter 5:7.

a)       Let God have all of our worries and cares.

b)       God:-

1-       Cares for us.

2-      Thinks about us.

3-     Watches over us.

c)       We should turn all of our worries over to Him.

(This QT convinces me that God Cares)

Leviticus 23:27.

a)       There was a special day. The Day of Atonement.

b)       All the people were to come together before the Lord.

c)       The people would fast and be saddened because of their sins.

d)       The people would offer sacrifices by fire to the Lord.

(This Second one touches my heart: They Made Atonement For Their Sin)

God thinks about us. The mind of God is such that He can be individually thinking about all of us all the time. That thought is ‘mind blowing’ for me. The fact that God’s Mind is so huge does not detract from His Personal Care and Love for us. Let us never underestimate God. He and His Ways are Amazingly Wonderful.

Come And Listen!

Isaiah 34:1.

a)       The Nations were to listen.

b)       The people were to listen.

c)       The Earth and all who fill it were to listen.

(This QT reminds me that the Lord wants me to Come And Listen)

Numbers 3:4.

a)       Nadab and Abihu died before the Lord.

b)       They were in the wilderness of Sinai.

c)       They used unholy fire and made an unauthorised offering before the Lord.

d)       Nadab and Abihu had no children.

e)       So Eleazar and Ithamar served as Priests to serve their father Aaron.

The people were to listen! I am sure that God wants His People to be good listeners. This is True right through the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation. If we learn to listen to the Lord we actually can learn to make fewer mistakes in our life decisions. It is good to listen in our private devotions, in our midweek group meetings and even in our main Worship Meetings.

Full Of Grace And Truth!

‘Full Of Grace And Truth.’

John 1:14-17.

a)       John 1:14. Christ became a human being.

b)       John 1:14. He lived here on Earth among our forefathers.

c)       John 1:14. He was full of:-

1-       Loving Kindness.

2-      Truth.

3-     Grace.

4-      Favour.

d)      John 1:14.  Some people saw His Glory.

e)      John 1:15. John spoke to the crowds, he was introducing Jesus as the One that his message was all about.

f)        John 1:16. Through Christ the people receive:-

1-       Rich Blessing.

2-      Blessing upon Blessing.

3-     One Grace after another.

4-      Favour upon favour.

5-     Gift upon gift.

g)       John 1:17. The Law was given through Moses but Grace and Truth came by and through Christ.

(This QT gives me the desire to be Full Of Grace And Truth)

‘God Sent The Glory And The Fire.’

Leviticus 9:23-24.

a)       Moses and Aaron went into the Tabernacle – the Presence of God.

b)       When they came out they Blessed the people.

c)       The Glory of the Lord appeared to the whole Assembly.

d)       Fire then came out from the Lord and consumed all the burnt offering and fat on the Altar.

e)       When all the people saw this happen they shouted and fell flat on their faces before the Lord.

(This Second one speaks to me of the Holiness and Power of the Lord: God Sent The Glory And The Fire)

When Moses and Aaron came out from the Presence of the Lord the first thing that they did was to Bless the People. This is a wonderful example, even to Today’s Church. Men of God, to be effective in the Ministry that God has given to them need to spend time before the Lord as a part of their personal preparation. Coming out from that Presence they should be able to Bless the People with God’s Words.
