God's Words Are For All People!
'God's Words Are For All People.'
Leviticus 24:22.
a) One Law will be the same for the foreigner as for the native, He is fair to all.
b) I am the Lord your God.
c) Exodus 6:7. He Saves us.
d) Exodus 15:26. He Heals us.
e) Leviticus 19:2. He calls us to be Holy.
f) Leviticus 24:22. He loves us and all people.
g) Deuteronomy 4:40. He gives us a settled home.
h) Deuteronomy 11:22; 28:13. We are to obey Him and love Him.
i) Deuteronomy 12:5. We are to look for the places that He chooses.
j) Deuteronomy 14:29. He desires to Bless us and the work that we do.
k) Deuteronomy 15:4. He wants to richly Bless His People.
i) Deuteronomy 16:11. We are to Worship at the place that He gives to us.
j) Psalm 81:10. He wants to feed us.
k) Isaiah 41:13. He helps us so that we need not be afraid.
l) Isaiah 48:17. He teaches us and leads us.
(This QT reminds me that God's Words Are For All People)
----------
'The Spirit Of Christ.'
a) Romans 8:9. Is the seal that we belong to Him.
b) 1 Peter 1:11. Within us is a Spirit of Revelation and Understanding.
c) 2 Corinthians 3:3. Writes on human hearts.
(Through this Second one I thank God for The Spirit Of Christ)
----------
Chris.
God's Word tells us that He Loves all people. This is not meant to be a challenge to us, that we are to love all people too, that is a practical impossibility. There will always be people in person, or by Nation, that we may not love. We can, however, pray for them -because God Loves all people.

Gabriel!
'Gabriel'
a) Luke 1:26. Was an Angel sent from God.
b) Daniel 9:20-21. Came to Daniel.
c) Luke 1:19. Normally stands in the Presence of God.
(This QT makes me thank God for Angel Gabriel and all the Angels of God)
---------
'Children's Ministry Is Important.'
Matthew 18:5.
a) Whoever
b) Receives and gives honour
c) To one little child in the Lord's Name,
d) Gives honour to and receives the Lord.
(This Second one reminds me that Children's Ministry Is Important)
---------
Chris.
The Disciples of Jesus wanted to know who was the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus called a little child and set him before the Disciples and all the other people who were present. The Message of Jesus was very clear: The people and the Disciples needed to hear this. Unless they were converted, and became like little children, they would not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. This makes me think that if a Church is to grow, it needs to have some kind of Discipleship Classes and Training.

Unjust And Lonely!
'Unjust And Lonely.'
Jeremiah 20:10.
a) I heard many people whispering.
b) They whispered: "Terror on every side.
c) Let's denounce him.
d) All my close friends watch my steps.
e) They say:
1-"Perhaps he will be deceived."
2-"We can prevail against him."
3-"We can take vengeance on him."
(This QT about Jeremiah's experience reminds me that God knows when we go through situations that are Unjust And Lonely)
--------
'A Prophet Like You.'
Deuteronomy 18:15.
a) The Lord Your God.
b) Will raise up a Prophet like you.
c) A Prophet like Moses.
d) From amongst the People of God.
e) You must listen to Him.
(The Lord was going to raise up a Prophet like Moses for the next generation - following him)
--------
Chris.
Jeremiah is sometimes portrayed in a negative way, out of context, and for their convenience, by preachers. This is really a wrong concept. Jeremiah was a chosen prophet, a Servant of the Lord who faithfully proclaimed the Words of God. God allowed him to go through certain experiences that, if we read them, may apply to our lives too, we can read and esteem the Prophetic Book of Jeremiah.

God's People Must Not Kill!
'God's People Must Not Kill.
Leviticus 24:21.
a) Whoever kills an animal.
b) Must make restitution.
c) Whoever kills a human being.
d) Must be put to death.
(This QT clearly instructs me that God's People Must Not Kill)
--------
'The Uniqueness Of Moses.'
Deuteronomy 34:10.
a) There has not arisen a prophet since in Israel.
b) Like Moses.
c) Whom the Lord knew.
d) Face to face.
(This Second one reminds me of The Uniqueness Of Moses)
--------
Chris.
God's People are on the Earth to be life-givers, they must not kill. God's Heart is revealed here. Killing an animal belonging to another person had to be made good. There was to be restitution. The sentence killing another human being required the death penalty. God is a Life-Giver and He wants His People to choose life every time. If we value life then we will not physically damage another person.

Elizabeth Praises The Lord!
'Elizabeth Praises The Lord'
Luke 1:25.
a) Thus has the Lord done for me.
b) In the days when He looked on me.
c) To take away my reproach among people.
(In this QT Elizabeth Praises The Lord)
-------
'A Mocking And Evil Demand.'
Matthew 26:68.
a) Some of the irate Israeli worshippers.
b) Stimulated by their high priest.
c) After they physically abused Jesus Christ.
d) Goaded Him to Prophesy to them.
e) Goaded Him to have a Word of Knowledge about the identity of the people who struck Him.
(This Second one reveals A Mocking And Evil Demand)
-------
Chris.
Some people live in conflict in their home, school, workplace, or even Church. Emotionally it can be a very painful and 'soul destroying' experience. In such an environment, sometimes mocking and evil demands are made. Those who suffer from being on the end of those demands are painful victims. Everything is hidden, the Truth only comes out when it is too late. If you are living as a victim of mocking and evil demands I suggest that you discreetly and quickly get appropriate help.

When Our Enemies Fall And Stumble!
'When Our Enemies Fall And Stumble.'
Proverbs 24:17-18.
a) Do not rejoice when your enemy falls.
b) Do not let your heart be glad when your enemy stumbles.
c) Lest the Lord see it.
d) And be displeased.
e) And turn away His anger from your enemy.
(This QT teaches me about response When My Enemies Fall And Stumble)
------
'The Revelation Of Jesus Christ.'
Revelation 1:1.
a) This was the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
b) Which God gave Him.
c) To show His Servants.
d) The things that must soon take place.
e) God made it known by sending His Angel.
f) To His Servant John.
(This Second one helps me to understand The Revelation Of Jesus Christ)
------
Chris.
We should always leave matters about those people whom we may see as our enemies with God. Let God deal with them. When we get wrong attitudes and revenge into our hearts we will be the ones who suffer most. In fact, God says that when we get those wrong attitudes God is displeased. Our attitudes are very important, that is why Jesus has given to us the Sermon on the Mount as the basis for our Life as a True Believer. The Sermon on the Mount is best found in Matthew Chapters 5 - 7.

When The Punishment Fitted The Crime!
'When The Punishment Fitted The Crime.'
Leviticus 24:20.
a) Fracture for fracture.
b) Eye for eye.
c) Tooth for tooth.
d) Whatever injury a person gives to another.
e) Shall be given to him.
(This QT reminds me that When The Punishment Fitted The Crime was a part of life for God's Old Testament People)
-----
'A Part Of God's Power To Keep us.'
John 16:1.
a) Jesus said these things to His Disciples.
b) To keep them.
c) From falling away.
(This Second one reveals A Part Of God's Power To Keep Us - His Words)
-----
Chris.
There was no question of an excuse. In the Law of the Old Testament, if an Israeli person injured another person, he was to be punished in a very specific way. Whatever injury a person gave to another person shall be given to the person who initially injured the other.

A Good Response To Pregnancy!
'A Good Response To Pregnancy.'
Luke 1:24.
a) After those days.
b) Zechariah's wife Elizabeth.
c) Became pregnant.
d) And went into seclusion for five months.
(This QT teaches A Good Response To Pregnancy)
----
Jesus Christ - Sent By God.'
John 3:34.
a) Jesus Christ is Sent By God.
b) Jesus Christ speaks God's Words.
c) God gives Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit without limit.
(By this Second one I Honour and Exalt Jesus Christ - Sent By God)
----
Chris.
The Bible, its Teachings, its Testimonies and its stories, teaches us many things, including practical and helpful things. We read of the Blessing of Elizabeth's pregnancy, she was able to go into seclusion for five months. Modern society seems to treat pregnancy as a Blessing on one hand and an inconvenience on the other. Maybe the bonding between mother and child would be enhanced if the modern mother were allowed the same experience as Elizabeth? If the pregnant mother were supported well, there would be no need for her to work. In the long term, this could produce happier families and less delinquent children.

A Schemer!
'A Schemer.'
Proverbs 24:8.
a) Whoever plots evil.
b) Will be known as
c) A schemer.
(Through this QT I never want to be known as A Schemer)
----
'A Real Prophet.'
Deuteronomy 18:18.
a) I will raise up for them a prophet.
b) Like you.
c) From among their fellow Israelites.
d) And I will put My Words In His Mouth.
e) He will tell the people.
f) Everything I command him.
(This Second one teaches me about A Real Prophet)
----
Chris.
The Lord Jesus Christ Himself is revealed in the Scripture as 'A Real Prophet'. He is Prophet, Priest and King! The Real Prophet only speaks forth the Words that are given to Him to speak from the Heavenly Father. For us, These Words come from the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. There is no other way for A Real Prophet or a Real Gift of Prophecy. The Bible also tells us that a prophecy can be judged or discerned.

According To The Injury Inflicted!
'According To The Injury Inflicted.'
Leviticus 24:19.
a) This is a part of God's Old Testament Law.
b) Anyone who injures their neighbour.
c) Is to be injured.
d) In the same manner.
(This QT reveals to me about punishment According To The Injury Inflicted)
---
'The Spirit Of Christ Within.'
1 Peter 1:11.
a) They wondered about the time.
b) They wondered about the situation.
c) The Spirit of Christ within them.
d) Was talking about.
e) The Spirit of Christ told them in advance.
f) About Christ's suffering.
g) And about His Great Glory afterwards.
(This Second one teaches me that The Spirit Of Christ Within us can tell us things about times, situations and Christ)
---
Chris.
In God's Laws of the Old Testament there was place made for punishment to be given According To The Injury Inflicted. This was not a 'cruel' Law, it was a 'just' Law. This would put some restraint on, and fear into the heart of anyone who was seeking revenge. God clearly states in His Word that Revenge is His - He will repay.

He Simply Went Home!
'He Simply Went Home!'
Luke 1:23.
a) When Zechariah's time of service was completed.
b) His 'shift' was over.
c) He simply...
d) Returned home.
(This QT shows me that He Simply Went Home)
------------------------------
'First Announced By The Lord.'
Hebrews 2:3.
a) How shall we escape?
b) If we do not pay attention.
c) To God's Great Salvation?
d) The Lord first announced that Salvation.
e) Those people who heard Him.
f) Gave the Message about it.
(This Second one reminds me that the Message of God's Great Salvation was First Announced By The Lord)
------------------------------
Chris.
Zechariah sets a very good example for the Christian Minister today! After completing his duty, he Simply Went Home. If the Church and the Ministers of the Church truly followed God's Agenda for the Church, when their work is done for the day, then they can and should Simply Go Home. There are certain situations where Church Leaders suffer 'burn out', breakdown, or broken marriage, because they do not Simply Go Home when they should.

Plotting Or Planning?
'Plotting Or Planning?'
Proverbs 14:22.
a) Do not those people who plot evil go astray?
b) But those people who plan what is good,
c) Find love and faithfulness.
(This QT is a challenge: are we Plotting Or Planning?)
-----------------------------
'Capernaum.'
a) Luke 4:23. Jesus did His Works there.
b) Luke 4:31; John 6:59. Jesus taught the people there.
c) Luke 10:15; Matthew 11:23. Jesus told the place that it would go to Hell.
d) John 2:12; Matthew 4:13. Jesus sometimes stayed there.
e) Matthew 8:5. A Centurion asked Jesus for help there.
(This Second one makes me understand the Heart of Jesus for Capernaum)
-----------------------------
Chris.
We read in the Gospels that Jesus made certain places and people significant for the purpose of giving understanding of His Message. His Way of Ministry was clearly unique and He gave the people more understanding of the Ways of God. Capernaum was a significant place in that Jesus did miracles there, taught the people there and sometimes stayed there.

The Restitution Law!
'The Restitution Law.'
a) Leviticus 24:18. Was enforced if another person's animal was killed.
b) Leviticus 24:21. There was no restitution for killing a human being - only death penalty.
c) Numbers 5:7. Restitution was to be made for doing wrong to another person.
d) Exodus 22:3 & 12. The thief was to make restitution for what they had stolen.
e) Exodus 22:5. The pirate farmer had to make restitution.
f) Exodus 22:6. The person who started a fire that burned the farmer's field - even accidentally - had to make restitution.
g) Leviticus 5:16. Those of God's People who rob Him were to make restitution.
h) Leviticus 22:14. Those people who are careless about Worship were to make restitution.
(This QT helps me to understand The Restitution Law)
----------------------------
'The Spirit Of The Lord.'
a) Isaiah 61:1; Luke 4:18. Was upon the Lord Jesus.
b) Isaiah 63:14. Can give rest.
c) Ezekiel 11:5; 37:1. Can come upon us.
d) Micah 3:8. Can fill us with:
1-Power.
2-Justice.
3-Might.
e) Acts 5:9. Should not be challenged.
f) Acts 8:39. Can take people away.
g) 2 Corinthians 3:17. Brings Freedom.
(This Second one gives me strong desire for The Spirit Of The Lord)
----------------------------
Chris.
The thief was to make restitution for what they had taken. There is a crisis at the present time in British prisons. Most prisoners are bored and rebellious because they are not challenged. Even if they work, it is simple and easy. The idea of "prison camps" is an excellent one, where prisoners can participate in simple farm work or make bricks. This will help the prisoner to make restitution.

When Zechariah Came Out Of The Temple!
'When Zechariah Came Out Of The Temple.'
Luke 1:22.
a) When Zechariah came out of the Temple.
b) He could not speak to the people.
c) The people realized that Zechariah had seen a vision in the Temple.
d) Zechariah kept making signs to the people. (For communication)
e) But he could not speak.
(This QT shows me what happened When Zechariah Came Out Of The Temple)
--------------------------
'The Anointing Upon The Lord Jesus.'
Isaiah 61:1.
a) It was especially for Him.
b) It was the Anointing of the Sovereign Lord.
c) It was on Jesus Christ.
d) It was to enable Him to:-
1-Proclaim Good News to the poor.
2-Bind up the broken hearted people.
3-Proclaim freedom for the captives.
4-Give release from darkness for the prisoners.
(This Second one teaches me about The Anointing Upon The Lord Jesus)
--------------------------
Chris.
When Zechariah encountered the Presence of God in the Temple it was obviously a very dramatic event in his life. He came out of the Temple and was unable to speak. His enforced silence spoke to the people more than any words could! The people realized that he had really "met with God".

A Simple Prayer For Protection From Physical Abuse!
'A Simple Prayer For Protection From Physical Abuse.'
Psalm 140:4.
a) Keep me;
b) Oh Lord,
c) From the hands of the wicked.
d) Preserve me from violent men
e) Who have purposed to make my steps stumble.
(This QT is A Simple Prayer For Protection From Physical Abuse)
------------------------
'Only One Name.'
Acts 4:12.
a) There is no salvation through anyone else.
b) There is no other name in Heaven.
c) Given to the human race.
d) By which we are to be Saved.
(This Second one reminds me that there is Only One Name)
------------------------
Chris.
There are, in some people's lives, huge challenges caused by violence within their family. The only ways to escape from this violence are very radical! Before taking those final steps of separation, and whatever may ensue after that, as True Believers we can pray. A good initial prayer to pray is A Simple Prayer For Protection From Physical Abuse.
Saturday, March 4, 2017
God Esteems Life!
'God Esteems Life.'
Leviticus 24:17.
a) Anyone.
b) Who kills a human being.
c) Shall be put to death.
(This QT reminds me that God Esteems Life)
-----------------------
'The Need Of A Messenger.'
Job 33:23.
a) If they have a messenger for them.
b) A spokesman.
c) One in a thousand.
d) To tell people.
e) What is right for them.
(This Second one reveals to me The Need Of A Messenger)
-----------------------
Chris.
Today, our Churches have the same need: The Need Of A Messenger. For many years my wife and I lived overseas. We had some very wonderful and fruitful times in the Churches. In many of the Churches we attended, whether large or small, the Pastor or Preacher were faithful Messengers, simply proclaiming the Word of God. This was mostly in Asia, amongst Asian people. There are a few similar Churches here in UK, but for most - there is The Need Of A Messenger.

They Were Patient People!
'They Were Patient People.'
Luke 1:21.
a) The people were waiting for Zechariah.
b) The people were wondering.
c) Why did he stay so long in the Temple?
(This QT reveals to me that They Were Patient People)
----------------------
'Christ Gave Himself For Us.'
Titus 2:14.
a) Christ gave Himself for us.
b) To redeem us from all wickedness.
c) To purify for Himself a People.
d) That are His very Own.
e) Eager to do what is good.
(Through this Second one I am grateful that Christ Gave Himself For Us)
----------------------
Chris.
Christ gave Himself for us. We have a God Who is so incredibly kind and generous. Sometimes we take the kindness and love of God for granted and we live out our lives as if it does not really matter how we live. Our hearts need to be thankful and worshipful towards God and our lives should be aligned with His Word and His Will.

The Lord's Commands In Us!
'The Lord's Commands In Us.'
Psalm 119:98.
a) The Lord's Commands.
b) Make us wiser than our enemies.
c) Because the Lord's Commands.
d) Are always in our hearts.
(This QT reveals the Wisdom from The Lord's Commands In Us)
----------------------
'No More Cursed Life.'
Galatians 3:13.
a) Christ Redeemed us from that self-defeating cursed life.
b) He did this by absorbing it completely into Himself.
c) We should remember the Scripture that says:
d) Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (cross).
(This Second one causes me to rejoice: No More Cursed Life)
----------------------
Chris.
The Word of God encourages us to hide This same Word of God in our hearts, then we will not sin against Him. This is very practical advice. When the Words of God are in our heart, they give us Wisdom. We live in a spiritually hostile World, so hiding the Word of God in our heart is a wise and necessary thing to do.

The Congregation's Responsibility!
'The Congregation's Responsibility.'
Leviticus 24:16.
a) Anyone who speaks against the Lord.
b) Must be put to death.
c) All the people must kill him.
d) By throwing stones at him.
e) This Law applies to the foreigner just as much as it does to the Israelite.
f) If they speak against the Lord.
g) They must be put to death.
(This QT teaches me about The Congregation's Responsibility)
--------------------
'As God The Father Planned.'
Galatians 1:4.
a) Jesus gave Himself for our sins.
b) To free us from the evil World that we live in.
c) Just as God our Father planned.
(This Second one reveals Freedom for us As God The Father Planned)
--------------------
Chris.
The Lord made the Law regarding speaking against Himself, not for Himself, but for us. It covered all peoples, both Israeli and non-Israeli. This Law made a lot of sense because when people speak against the Lord, they bring evil upon themselves. God is Good, God is Love and God is Faithful. God has no problem, it is the people who had, and sometimes still have, the problem. When bad things happen to us, it is usually people that are to blame, not the devil and not God.

Belief Is Important!
'Belief Is Important.'
Luke 1:20.
a) Behold, you shall be dumb.
b) You shall be unable to speak.
c) Until the day when these things take place.
d) Because you did not Believe my (the Angel's) words.
e) Which will be fulfilled in their proper time.
(This QT reminds me that Belief Is Important)
---------------------
'Our Advocate With The Father.'
1 John 2:1.
a) Old and Wise Apostle John wrote these things to the Church.
b) "My little children,"
c) "I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.
d) "And if anyone sins."
e) "We have an Advocate with the Father...
f) Jesus Christ the Righteous."
(This Second reveals Our Advocate With The Father)
---------------------
Chris.
When God really does speak to us, whether individually, to the Church, or to the Nation, His Words will be fulfilled. The fulfillment comes in its proper time. There are, however three problems here: Firstly, we sometimes say that God has spoken to us when He has not. Secondly, God speaks to us but we do not Pray and Wait for the fulfillment of His Words. Thirdly, we ignore God speaking to us. We need to overcome these things if God's Words are to become fruitful in our lives.

Keep A Positive Focus!
'Keep A Positive Focus.'
Psalm 71:24.
a) My tongue also.
b) Will utter Your Righteousness.
c) All the day long.
d) For they are ashamed.
e) They are humiliated.
f) Who seek my hurt.
(This QT calls me to Keep A Positive Focus)
--------------------
'Christ's Ministry of Reconciliation.'
Colossians 1:20.
a) Through Christ, the Father reconciled all things to Himself.
b) Christ made Peace through the Blood of His Cross.
c) Through Christ, whether things on Earth or things in Heaven.
(This Second one causes me to Give thanks to the Father for Christ's Ministry Of Reconciliation)
--------------------
Chris.
We should not focus on the people who seek, or have sought, to hurt us. If we keep our attitude correct through focusing on, and proclaiming the Lord's Righteousness, then we can begin to experience God's Victory in our situation. God works on our behalf as we follow His Way and not our own.

Simple Prayer For God's Help And Victory !
'A Simple Prayer For God's Help And Victory.'
Psalm 71:10-13.
a) Psalm 71:10. My enemies talk concerning me.
b) Psalm 71:10. Those people who watch for my life conspire together.
c) Psalm 71:11. They say that his God has abandoned him.
d) Psalm 71:11. "Pursue and seize him because there is no deliverer."
e) Psalm 71:12. Oh God, do not be far from me.
f) Psalm 71:12. My God, hurry to help me.
g) Psalm 71:13. Let them be ashamed; let them perish who are my adversaries.
h) Psalm 71:13. Let them wrap themselves with scorn and disgrace who seek my harm.
(This QT is A Simple Prayer For God's Help And Victory)
-----------------
'A Lovely Ministry.'
2 Corinthians 5:18.
a) Now.
b) Everything is from God.
c) Who has reconciled us to Himself through Christ.
d) And gave us the Ministry of Reconciliation.
(This Second one reveals A Lovely Ministry)
-----------------
Chris.
"Oh God," David prayed, "do not be far from me." The fact was that God was never far from David, even when David made mistakes, or was hounded by his enemies, God was there to rescue him, forgive him and restore him. We sometimes need to remind ourselves that the Promises and Character of God do not change. God is there to rescue, forgive, restore and help us when we need Him to do that.

Please Be Careful!
'Please Be Careful!'
Leviticus 24:15.
a) Speak to God's People.
b) Tell them that:
c) If anyone speaks evil of His God.
d) That person will bear their sin.
(This QT exhorts me to advise God's People: Please Be Careful)
----------------
'One God And One Mediator.'
1 Timothy 2:5.
a) There is One God.
b) There is only One Mediator between God and men.
c) The Man Christ Jesus.
(Through this Second one I am reminded that there is One God And One Mediator)
----------------
Chris.
Please be careful! This is something that many Christians tend to forget! This is the Counsel and Advice of God's Word! These are not the Words of the Counsellor, or the Words of the Bible Teacher, these are the Words of God. We should never speak evil of God, if we do, we will bear our sin. God is Good, God is Love and God is Faithful!

Gabriel The Angel!
'Gabriel The Angel.'
Luke 1:19.
a) Spoke to Zechariah.
b) Stands in the Presence of God.
c) Was sent by God.
d) To tell the good news.
(This QT makes me thank God for Angels: Gabriel The Angel)
--------------
'To Be Glorified With Christ.'
Romans 8:17.
a) If we are God's Children.
b) We are Heirs of God.
c) We are co-Heirs with Christ.
d) If so be that we suffer with Christ.
e) So that we also may be Glorified with Him.
(This Second one gives me the desire To Be Glorified With Christ)
-------------
Chris.
Angels are real! We read about them in the Bible, some of them are given a name by God. Angels are still being sent by God in these days. They are obedient to God perfectly. Only Satan was a "fallen angel" who rebelled against God and was cast out of Heaven. We can thank God for the Ministry of Angels, even though we may not know much about them.

Oh God - Let Them!
'Oh God ... Let Them.'
Psalm 70:2-3.
a) Be put to shame who seek my life.
b) Be put to confusion who seek my life.
c) Let them be turned back who delight in my hurt.
d) Let them be brought to dishonour who delight in my hurt.
e) Let them be turned back because of their shame who say: "Aha, aha." <Cynical mocking>
(With this QT I Pray According To God's Word: Oh God ... Let Them)
------------
'Enabling Us To Be One.'
John 17:22.
a) Jesus prayed: "The Glory that you have given Me."
b) "I have given to them." (Romans 8:30)
c) "That they may be one."
d) "Even as We are One."
(Through this Second one I find Jesus, through His Prayer, is Enabling Us To Be One)
------------
Chris.
It is possible for us to Pray for people to be "turned back"! Even David did so... I think that, according to God's Word, we can Pray that Prayer for people who mock us, also for people who hurt, or want to hurt, us. Another meaning of "turn back" is to repent! The Law of the Old Testament was strong and clear. Those people who heard the man blaspheme the Name of the Lord and curse were to lay their hand on his head, then he was to be stoned to death. Jesus Christ was punished by death sentence on the Cross for us so that we might be forgiven and freed from our sins. He then, remarkably, rose from the dead to give us New and Eternal Life.
