A Memorial Of God's Miracle!

‘A Memorial Of God’s Miracle.’
Joshua 4:4-7.
a)    Joshua 4:4. Joshua called the twelve men that He had appointed from the twelve tribes of Israel.
b)   Joshua 4:5. Each one of these men were to cross the Jordan again, taking a memorial stone for their tribe to where the Ark of the Lord was being carried in the middle of the Jordan.
c)   Joshua 4:6. The twelve stones were to be a sign to following generations and a memorial to what the Lord had done for His People.
d)  Joshua 4:7. Then the following generations can hear the testimony of the events that happened when God saw His People safely over the Jordan and defeated the Egyptians who were following them.
(This QT reveals A Memorial Of God’s Miracle)

‘Keep On Excelling And Abounding.’
2 Corinthians 8:7.
a)    The Corinthian Church abounded and excelled in everything.
b)   They abounded in:-
1-   Faith.
2-   Utterance.
3-   Knowledge.
4-   Earnestness.
5-   Love.
c)   Apostle Paul exhorted them to abound in the Grace of Giving too.

(This Second one urges me to Keep On Excelling And Abounding)
----------------
Chris.
The Corinthian Church (who were relatively new True Believers) abounded in many things. God had done great Miracles of Grace amongst them. Apostle Paul was reminding them about excelling and one of the things that he reminded them of was Knowledge. It is correct for us to explore Biblical Standards and Teachings of Knowledge as revealed in God’s Word, so that we can grow as True Believers.

They Deliberately Forget!

‘They Deliberately Forget.’
2 Peter 3:5-8.
a)    2 Peter 3:5; Genesis 1:9. They deliberately forget that God Created the Heavens and the Earth.
b)   2 Peter 3:6; 2:5. The world at that time was deluged and destroyed by God.
c)   2 Peter 3:7. The present Heavens and Earth are being reserved for:-
1-   2 Peter 3:10. Fire.
2-   Being kept for the Day of Judgment.
3-   Destruction of the ungodly People.
d)   2 Peter 3:8. As Beloved True Believers we should not forget that one day with the Lord is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
(This QT is a clear reminder to me: They Deliberately Forget)
------------------
‘Finish The Job.’
2 Corinthians 8:11.
a)    Now you have started the job, please finish it.
b)   You have had an eager willingness to do it.
c)   You have the ability to complete it.
(This Second one is a timely reminder: Finish The Job)
------------------
Chris.
Ungodliness is not something that we like to think or talk about because it is totally against the Life and Work of the Kingdom of God. The Church needs to do its best to deal with any ungodliness within, when that is dealt with then the Church can reach out to an ungodly World.

King Hezekiah's Excellent Motive For A Praise Song!

‘King Hezekiah’s Excellent Motive For A Praise Song.’
Isaiah 38:9.
a)    It is a Song of Praise.
b)   It is written by King Hezekiah himself.
c)   He wrote it after his illness and recovery.
(This QT is King Hezekiah’s Excellent Motive For A Praise Song)
-------
‘Help Them.’
Isaiah 35:3.
a)    Encourage the exhausted people.
b)   Strengthen the feeble.
c)   Strengthen the hands of those people who are weak.
d)   Help the people whose knees grow weak.

(This Second one is an appeal to Help Them)
-------
Chris.
There is a Blessed Ministry when someone really composes a song from their heart with the Anointing of the Holy Spirit. If we believe that we have received a song in this way from the Lord, then we should sincerely pray about sharing this with our Church or Ministry Leaders so that we may Bless other people with the song.

Believing Parents Teach Their Children!

‘Believing Parents Teach Their Children.’
Exodus 13:14.
a)     When they ask (especially about the things of God) please answer them.
b)     Tell them about the Powerful and Mighty Hand of God.
c)     Tell them about the Freedom He gave His People and He still gives them it today.
(This QT shows that Believing Parents Teach Their Children)
-----------------
‘Excellent Family Spiritual Priorities.’
1 Peter 3:7.
a) This is written to Believing Husbands.
b)     Live with your wives in an understanding way.
c)     Consider your wife as the weaker partner.
d)     Show your wife honour as a fellow heir of the Grace of Life.
e) If we do these things our Prayers will not be hindered.

(This Second one Teaches me Excellent Family Spiritual Principles)
-----------------
Chris.
Tell the Children about the Freedom that the Lord gave His People and that He still gives that Freedom today. Most children of True Believers understand more about spiritual things than their parents think. It is good to talk to the Children about spiritual things in language that they can understand and explain the principles well.

What Will Happen?

‘What Will Happen?’
2 Peter 3:3-4.
a)     This is most important for us to understand.
b)     What will happen in the Last Days.
c)     People will laugh at True Believers.
d)     These people will live doing the evil things they want to do.
e)     They will mock the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
(This QT Teaches me What Will Happen in the Last Days)
----------------
‘A Good Model To Follow.’
Hebrews 6:12.
a) We should not become lazy.
b)     Be imitators of those people.
c)     Who through Faith and Patience.
d)     Inherit the Promises of God.

(This Second one reveals A Good Model To Follow)
----------------
Chris.
We are already beginning to see the signs of the End Times. Just the beginning! The Bible Teaches us very clearly about “final events” so we should never be shaken or afraid, especially if we are True Believers. A key for all of us is being spiritually alert. A second key is loving and reading the Word of God.

The Lord's Sign!

‘The Lord’s Sign.’
Isaiah 38:7-8.
a)     The Lord was going to give a Sign to show His People that He will do what He Promises.
b)     He will cause the shadow caused by the sun on the stairway of Ahaz to go back ten steps.
c)     The sun did exactly what the Lord said.
d)     The Lord’s Sign came to pass.
(This QT shows me The Lord’s Sign)
-----------------
‘The Method, The Time And The Need.’
Matthew 6:11.
a) The Method: God’s Gift for His People.
b)     The Time: Daily.
c)     The Need: Bread.

(Through this Second one I find: The Method, The Time And The Need)
-----------------
Chris.
Steps are a normal part of life for us. We have stairs in some of our homes and offices. Some of our Churches have steps and stairs. The sun was obviously shining in on Ahaz’s stairs. Because the sun consistently moves the shadow on the stairs was moving. Every time that the sun shone the shadow moved. The Miracle here was that the shadow moved backwards by ten stairs. The Lord can initiate and give amazing signs.

Tell Them What The Lord Has Done!

‘Tell Them What The Lord Has Done.’
Exodus 13:8.
a)    Tell your son about this. (The Passover)
b)   It is because of what the Lord did for me.
c)   When I came out of Egypt.
(This QT reminds me to Tell Them What The Lord Has Done)
----------------
‘Gifts From The Will Of The Holy Spirit.’
1 Corinthians 12:11.
a)    It is the One Holy Spirit – Who is God.
b)   Who distributes a His Gifts as He Wills.
c)   These Gifts are available to each person determined by the Holy Spirit.
This Second one Teaches me about Gifts From The Will Of The Holy Spirit)
----------------
Chris.
In the families of True Believers it is really the father’s job to be the ‘shepherd’ of his family. There is a very clear picture of this in Israel during the Old Testament times. This is clearly carried forward to the New Testament through the Teachings of Jesus Christ and of Apostle Paul. Until today this day the principle remains the same.

An Important Reminder!

‘An Important Reminder.’
2 Peter 3:1-2.
a)    Peter is writing this letter to dear and beloved friends.
b)   He wants them to remember, and give undistracted attention.
c)   To the Words spoken by the Holy Prophets.
d)   To the Commandments, passed on by the Apostles, that were given by Jesus Christ the:-
1-   Lord.
2-   Saviour.
3-   Master.
(This QT gives to me also An Important Reminder)
----------------
‘The Great Importance Of Love In Ministry.’
1 Corinthians 13:2.
a)    Matthew 7:22. I may have the Gift of Prophecy.
b)   I might know all mysteries.
c)   I might have all knowledge.
d)   I might have Faith to remove mountains.
e)    1 Corinthians 14:1. Without Love however, I am nothing.

(This Second one teaches me The Great Importance Of Love In Ministry)
----------------
Chris.
The Lord Jesus Christ is, and rightly should be, our Master. In some of the Nations of South East Asia the congregations and individual Believers Pray to the Lord simply as ‘Master’. If we know Him and call Him Master it really gives us a spiritually sound concept of our relationship with God and helps us to remember that we are just His Servants.
