‘God Sometimes Is Angry.’

Romans 1:18-23.

a)      Romans 1:18. His Anger is being revealed from Heaven against all godlessness and wickedness of people who suppress the Truth by their wickedness.

b)      Romans 1:19. The Truth of God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts.

c)       Romans 1:20. Since the Creation of the World God’s invisible qualities – His Eternal Power and Divine Nature – have been clearly seen. So sinful and evil people will have no excuse when they stand before God on Judgement Day.

d)      Romans 1:21. For although they knew God, they:-

1-     Did not Glorify Him as God.

2-     Would not give thanks to Him.

3-      Became futile thinkers.

4-      Allowed their foolish hearts to become darkened and confused.

e)       Romans 1:22. They claimed to be wise but became fools.

f)       Romans 1:23. They exchanged the Glory of the Living God to images that looked like:-

1-     Human beings.

2-     Birds.

3-     Animals.

4-     Reptiles.

They exchanged the Glory of the Living God to images. This was written clearly by Apostle Paul referring to people who knew God. These people were not “heathen”, they were people who had fellowship with other Believers. They made an exchange the Glory of the Living God to images. I am challenged to keep free from the images!

b)       I think about the Lord’s Words.

‘We Are Not To Be Captured And Spoiled.’

Colossians 2:8.

a)       We are to make sure that our Faith is not spoiled.

b)       We are to make sure that our Joy is not spoiled.

c)       We are to make sure that no one captures us by using false reasoning that has no meaning.

d)      Their:-

1-      Wrong answers.

2-      Shallow answers.

3-      Ideas taught by mere men.

e)       They depend on the basic things the people of the World system believe.

f)        They do not depend on Christ and what He has said.

(Through this Second one I know that I Am Not To Be Captured And Spoiled)

We are not to be captured and spoiled. This capture and spoiling is something that sometimes happens to God’s People. It happens especially when they are not having a personal relationship with God and have become spiritually dry. In my country, UK, I must confess that there groups of “Christians” who capture and spoil sincere people, who because of some kind of dryness or problem that they have fall as prey to the capturers and spoilers. (Most capturers and spoilers are either hyper spiritual or domineering dominators)

Peter Was Grateful!

‘Peter Was Grateful.’

2 Peter 1:1.

a)       Of Jesus Christ he was:-

1-A Servant.

2-A Missionary.

3-A Slave.

4-An Apostle.

b)       The Letter he wrote was written to those people who, through the Righteousness of our Saviour Jesus Christ, have been granted Faith.

c)       This Faith was just as precious as Peter’s own Faith.

d)      Jesus Christ is:-

1-      Precious.

2-      Just.

3-      Good.

e)       He Gives the same Faith to each of us.

‘The Works Of Jesus Christ.’

Ephesians 3:16-21.

a)       Ephesians 3:16. He grants us to be strengthened by His Holy Spirit in our inner man.

b)       Ephesians 3:17. He dwells in our hearts by Faith and roots and grounds us in Love.

c)       Ephesians 3:18. He wants us to experience His Love:-

1-      Its breadth.

2-      Its length.

3-      Its height.

4-      Its depth.

d)      Ephesians 3:19. We can know the Love of Christ that passes Knowledge, then we can be filled up with all the fullness of God.

e)       Ephesians 3:20. We give Glory to God because of the amazing work that He is doing in us.

f)        Ephesians 3:21. To God be Glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus to all generations for ever and ever.

We can and should be amazed at the depth of the Love of Christ. Firstly we can think of how He humbled Himself and came down to this Earth in human form to be punished and crucified for our sins. Secondly, His Love is not superficial, it reaches deep down into our lives and touches the deepest parts of our inner person. Finally, thirdly, the depth of His Love gives us stability in our relationships with other people.

a)       Thorns will overrun the palaces.

b)       Nettles will grow in its forts.

c)       It will become the haunt of jackals.

d)      It will be a home for ostriches.

Nettles will grow in its forts. Who likes nettles? They sting and can cause unpleasant marks and pains on our bodies. One of the things that is very clear is that God created nettles. He refers to them in His Word. We should consider our lives before God and walk in His Ways. God is still Good, Love and Faithful.

We Can Have A Clean Record Before God!

Psalm 119:6.

a)   God’s Commandments have Power to change our lives. Firstly by showing to us our need of Christ and God’s Gift of Salvation.

b)    Then we shall not be disgraced.

c)    Then we shall not be ashamed.

‘God’s Good Plan For His People.

Jeremiah 3:15

a)   He will give to them Shepherds and Leaders after their own heart.

b)    These Shepherds will guide God’s People with Wisdom and Understanding.

c)    Ezekiel 34:23. These Shepherds will feed God’s People on Knowledge.

d)   Jeremiah 23:4. These Shepherds will tend God’s People so that they will not be afraid.

(Herein this Second one is a part of God’s Good Plan For His Future)

The last thing that God wants to do is to control us by giving us feelings of shame. In an unhappy marriage this is quite often the case, one partner tries to control the other by making them feel ashamed. This is obviously not God’s Plan for that marriage. God wants us to live in a clean freedom that gives us assurance of a clean record before God.

One In Christ In Church!

a)   We should greet one another appropriately in Church.

b)    We should be in Shalom.

c)    If we are in Christ.

This is a very clear and important statement – if we are in Christ. There are some people who spend many years of their lives in Church but have never known what it is to be in Christ. When we are in Christ we are in Peace. When we are in Christ, we Trust God and Pray in His Name. When we are in Christ, we love to Worship God.
