‘Love.’

a)      Galatians 5:22. Is a Fruit of the Holy Spirit.

b)     Genesis 22:2. Should be given to our Children.

c)      Genesis 24:12; 2 Samuel 22:51; Psalm 6:4. Steadfast Love comes from God.

d)     Deuteronomy 10:12; Hosea 6:6. We are required to Love God.

e)      Deuteronomy 10:19. Should be given to strangers.

f)       Deuteronomy 11:1; Joshua 22:5; 23:11. Should be given to God and expressed in Obedience to Him.

g)     2 Chronicles 7:6. The Love of God can be extolled in Praise music.

h)     Ezra 3:11. The Love of God can be sung about.

i)        Psalm 5:11. We can Love the Name of the Lord.

j)        Psalm 13:5. We can Trust in God’s Steadfast Love.

k)      Isaiah 54:8. The Lord’s Love is Everlasting Love.

l)        Matthew 5:44. We are to Love our enemies.

m)   Luke 7:47. When we are forgiven much we are free to Love much.

n)     Luke 11:42. The Love of God should not be neglected.

o)     John 13:34; 15:12; 1 Peter 4:8. We are to Love one another.

p)     John 15:9-10. We are to abide in the Love of the Lord Jesus Christ.

q)     Romans 8:35-39. Nothing can separate us from the Love of Christ.

r)       Romans 12:9. Should be genuine.

s)       Romans 15:30. Love from the Holy Spirit stimulates Prayer.

t)       1 Corinthians 8:1. Builds up.

u)     1 Corinthians 13:13. The Greatest is Love.

v)      1 Corinthians 14:1. We are to pursue Love.

w)    1 Corinthians 16:14. Should motivate everything we do.

x)      2 Corinthians 5:14. The Love of Christ urges us on.

y)      Ephesians 2:4. God Loves us with Great Love.

z)      Ephesians 3:17. We need to be rooted and grounded in it.

aa) Ephesians 3:19. The Love of Christ surpasses knowledge.

bb)                        Ephesians 4:2. Helps us to bear with one another.

cc)  Ephesians 5:25-33. Husbands should Love their wives.

dd)                        Philippians 2:2. Helps create Unity in the Body of Christ.

ee) 1 Thessalonians 3:12. The Lord can make us increase and abound in Love for one another.

ff)    1 John 3:18. Let us Love, not in word or speech, but in Truth and action.

(Through this QT I am reminded of the necessity and importance of Love)

‘When The Holy Spirit Comes.’

John 16:8.

a)      When the Holy Spirit comes.

b)     He will prove the World system wrong.

c)      He will convict the World system.

d)     About:-

1-    Sin.

2-    Righteousness.

3-    Judgement.

(This Second teaches me what happens When The Holy Spirit Comes)

Let us Love, not in word or speech, but in Truth and action. There is a lot of verbal communication using the word Love and verbal Blessing between True Believers in their gatherings and that is fine. Love, however, is something that also needs to be lived out in the World around us.

Pass The Truth On!

‘Pass The Truth On.’

2 Timothy 2:1-2.

a)      We should all be strong in the Grace that is in Christ Jesus.

b)     When we hear the Truth of the Word of God.

c)      We should Teach that to Faithful People.

d)     These Faithful People will Teach other people.

(This QT is a reminder to me of an important Principle from God’s Word: Pass The Truth On)

‘We Should Be Free From Our Sin.’

1 John 2:1.

a)      This is written to all True Believers.

b)     This Epistle from Apostle John was written to the Family of God, the True Believers.

c)      It was written so that the True Believers would not and should not sin.

d)     It was written to the True Believers in case anyone had sinned they would know that they had an Advocate Who spoke for them to God the Father.

e)      His Name is Jesus Christ the Righteous.

(This Second clearly states that I Should Be Free From My Sin)

This is one of the most important Truths of God’s Word: we should pass the Truth on. There are so many methods of communicating the Truth of God’s Word in these days. How wonderful when that Truth can be passed on to other people in a pure and palatable way. Let’s not forget to pass the Truth on.

When We Lose Our Spiritual Direction!

‘When We Lose Our Spiritual Direction.’

Ecclesiastes 8:15.

a)       We think of self comforting pleasure.

b)      We only want to:-

1-     Eat.

2-     Drink.

3-     Be merry.

c)       These things comfort us when we have lost our spiritual direction and are just toiling along.

d)      This can go on for years in our life, even though our life is given to us by God.

(This QT teaches me what happens When We Lose Our Spiritual Direction)

‘Intensive Learning From The Hand Of God.’

a)       Psalm 119:71. It may be good for us to be afflicted so that we can learn the Lord’s Statutes and Decrees.

b)      Hebrews 12:6. Those people whom the Lord Loves He also disciplines. He suitably punishes every child whom He Acknowledges.

c)       Job 5:17. Happy is the person whom God reproves. That means we should not despise the discipline which comes from the Almighty.

d)      Hebrews 12:11. All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

We all think of self comforting pleasure when we lose our spiritual direction. This pleasure may not be what is regarded as “sinful” by the Church or fellow Believers. It may be just simply eating, drinking and being merry and yet these things can become a false comfort when our lives are not in good condition spiritually. The Scripture speaks about seeking first the Kingdom of God. It also speaks about thirsting and hungering for God. So let us always enjoy our lives and also be free from false comforts as we endeavour to follow the Lord. 

A Wonderful Result!

‘A Wonderful Result.’

Romans 5:3-5.

a)       Romans 5:3. We boast in our sufferings knowing that suffering produces endurance.

b)      Romans 5:4. Endurance produces character.

c)      Romans 5:4. Character produces hope.

d)      Romans 5:5. Hope does not disappoint us.

e)       Romans 5:5. Because God’s Love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.

(Through this QT I discover A Wonderful Result)

‘He Remembered Too Late.’

Matthew 26:69-75.

a)       Matthew 26:69-70. Peter publicly denied being with Jesus. This was just what Jesus said was going to happen.

b)      Matthew 26:71-72. Peter did it again. It became his false story.

c)       Matthew 26:73-74. Then Peter began to curse and swear as he was denying Jesus publicly for the third time. All this because of the fear of people.

d)      Matthew 26:75. Peter then remembered what Jesus had told him and he went out and wept bitterly.

(This Second one has a lesson for me: He Remembered Too Late)

The Works of God in us are always for His Glory and because He Loves us. When we submit to the Works of God we can expect that the eventuality will be a wonderful result. When we reject the Works of God then usually we end up in a spiritual desert and with many unnecessary difficulties in our lives and relationships. 

Onesiphorus: A Good Brother!

‘Onesiphorus: A Good Brother.’

2 Timothy 1:16-18.

a)       2 Timothy 1:16. Apostle Paul Blessed Onesiphorus’ household to receive Mercy from the Lord.

b)      2 Timothy 1:16. Onesiphorus was a source of refreshing for Apostle Paul and he was not ashamed of the fact that Paul was imprisoned.

c)       2 Timothy 1:17. Onesiphorus was faithful in friendship and fellowship. As soon as he arrived in Rome he sought for Paul and found him.

d)      2 Timothy 1:18. Apostle Paul prayed for Onesiphorus that he would find Mercy granted to him from the Lord on the last day.

e)       2 Timothy 1:18. Onesiphorus was an excellent Servant of the Lord in Ephesus.

‘False And Fleshly Loyalty.’

Matthew 26:31-35.

a)       Matthew 26:31. Jesus knew that all of His Disciples were about to become deserters.

b)      Matthew 26:31. He told them about the Scripture which said that if the Shepherd is struck then the sheep will flee away.

c)       Matthew 26:32. Jesus Promised His Disciples resurrection and His Presence.

d)      Matthew 26:33. Peter said to Jesus that even if all the other Disciples were to forsake Him that he would never do that.

e)       Matthew 26:34. Jesus told Peter clearly that he was going to deny Him that same night.

f)        Matthew 26:35. Peter and all the other Disciples rejected that. They all said that they would die with Jesus and not deny Him. They had false and fleshly loyalty.

(Through this Second one I Pray that I will never have False And Fleshly Loyalty because all it really is is hypocrisy)

Onesiphorus was faithful in friendship and fellowship. All of his motives were pure and he loved to serve Apostle Paul during the time of his detention. He was not like Peter who was ‘all mouth but no action’ We can learn so much from this humble and faithful man of God.

Vain And Purposeless Action!

‘Vain And Purposeless Actions.’

Ecclesiastes 8:14.

a)    There is a thing to which there is no purpose done on the Earth.

b)     There are good and righteous people who are treated just like the wicked people.

c)     There are wicked people who get the reward of wicked people.

d)    All this is summed up as purposeless.

(This QT makes me think about my actions: Vain And Purposeless Actions)

‘A Test And Restoration.’

John 21:15-16.

a)    Jesus kindly waited until everyone had eaten.

b)     Then He asked Simon Peter if he loved Him more than he loved the other Disciples.

c)     Peter replied to Jesus in the affirmative.

d)    He said ‘Yes’ to Jesus and he knew that Jesus know that he loved Him.

e)     Then Jesus said to Peter that he was to feed the Lambs that belonged to the Lord.

(Here is something most effective in this Second one: A Test And Restoration)

When something is summed up as purposeless then it really is a waste of time. Not only that it is often frustrating too and sometimes hurtful. As True Believers we should make a point of avoiding purposeless things as much as possible.

Herein Is Love!

‘Herein Is Love.’

1 John 4:10.

a)    Herein is Love.

b)     It is not that we loved God.

c)     It is that God loved us.

d)    He sent His Only Son Jesus to be the Atoning Sacrifice for our sins.

(This QT reminds me gratefully that Herein Is Love)

Proverbs 29:25.

a)    The fear of other people.

b)     Lays a snare for us.

c)     But if we Trust in the Lord.

d)    We will be safe and secure.

(Through this Second one I know that I Can Be Secure)

It is so pleasurable to be reminded of things that we can be grateful to God for. So often I meet people with painful memories. They been hurt in family, hurt in Church, hurt in society and all these hurts have the potential to be devastating. The Word of God has the potential to bring to our mind many things that we can be grateful to God for. 

When We Are Called!

‘When We Are Called.’

a)    2 Timothy 1:15. We should not go away from our calling.

b)     Jeremiah 35:15; 2 Corinthians 5:20. We are called through the Servants of the Lord who have a Message from Him.

c)     2 Thessalonians 2:14. We are called when we hear the Good News.

d)    1 Peter 2:9. We are called out of darkness into the Lord’s wonderful Light.

e)     Acts 13:48. We are also Chosen for Eternal Life.

f)       1 Corinthians 1:24. We are called to Salvation.

g)     2 Timothy 1:9. We are called to live a Holy life.

h)    Romans 8:28. We are called according to God’s Purpose for us.

(Through this QT I understand more about my Calling: When I Am Called)

‘True Believers Have To Be Clean.’

Ephesians 5:3-6.

a)    Ephesians 5:3. It is proper for us not to even talk about:-

1-     Fornication.

2-    Impurity.

3-    Greed.

b)     Ephesians 5:4. We should give Thanksgiving to God.

c)     Ephesians 5:4. Out of place should be:-

1-     Obscenity.

2-    Silly talk.

3-    Vulgar talk.

d)    Ephesians 5:5. Of this we can be very sure.

e)     Ephesians 5:5. There is no inheritance in the Kingdom of God and of Christ for:-

1-     The fornicator.

2-    The impure person.

3-    The greedy person.

4-    The idolatrous person.

5-    The unclean person.

f)       Ephesians 5:6. Let no one deceive us with empty words.

g)     Ephesians 5:6. The Wrath of God comes upon those people who are disobedient in these things.

(Through this Second one I clearly know that True Believers Have To Be Clean)

The Bible tells us that there is an inheritance in the Kingdom of God and of Christ for True Believers whose lives are right with God. There is also a category list of those people who cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. If we are on that list we need to genuinely repent and then the whole situation can be reversed. Let us always be responsive to the Word of God and to the Holy Spirit.
