A Sobering Thought!

‘A Sobering Thought.’
1 Corinthians 3:16-17.
When we read here and in other Scriptures about the Temple of the Holy Spirit there are two definitions of this phrase and both are applicable. The first is that as individuals we are temples of the Holy Spirit. The Second is that the assembly of True Believers is the Temple of the Holy Spirit.
a) We need to be aware that we are God’s Temple.
b) The Holy Spirit lives in us.
c) We should not destroy God’s Temple.
d) If we destroy God’s Temple, God will destroy us.
e) We are and we are a part of God’s Holy Temple.

‘Ask God For Wisdom.’
James 1:5-8.
a) James 1:5. If any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask God, Who gives to all people generously and without criticising, and it will be given to us.
b) James 1:6. When we ask we must Believe and not doubt.
c) James 1:6. The doubter is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
d) James 1:7. The person who doubts should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
e) James 1:8. The person who doubts is a double minded person, unstable in all their ways.
(Through this Second one I am encouraged to Ask God For Wisdom)

Chris.
